How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The place was exactly like the photos, clean, beautifully maintained, and with everything we needed. On top of that, the location was great, close to everything but still peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Nice apartment, not far from the center but quiet and no parking problem. 10 mimutes walk to the lake or a 4 minute drive to the city center. A good calm place to return to after a day outside. Jasmina was friendly and attentive

This is a very nice apartment close from the center of Ohrid town at the top of the building. The owner, a lovely woman who speaks English very well, lives next door, so any problem, she is always willing to help. The apartment is spacious, there is a small balcony, comfortable bed, working A/C, clean bathroom. Parking is public in front of the housing estate, however, it was easy to find a spot. Overall no problem, can recommend this place. Good value for money spent.

The owner was very friendly and on call 24/7 to answer to your needs. located close to shops, atms, restaurants and the beach, however, a long walk to ohrid centre but for a solo traveller like myself this was no problem. Had everything you need and was very clean.

I honestly didn't have any complaints. Maybe the elevator. If you afraid of elevators I recommend using the stairs.
The apartment is really close to the seaside, markets, and cafes. There are free parking areas around the apartment. I texted Jasmine on WhatsApp when I arrived at the apartment. She guided me to her father, Vlado, to get the keys. Both of them are really kind and helped me. Especially Vlado, I want to thank you again. You made me feel safe in the city that I came to for the first time. I highly recommend the apartment. The view of the apartments is also amazing. I could have spent my all time there.

Just lovely! Close to the old town and ten minutes from the lake but quiet and with an amazing view. Jasmina was so kind too. We would love to stay again.

Not very close to attraction areas. 20-30 min. walk or 5min drive.
Clean and tidy room. Friendly host, living downstairs of the apartment. Free and avaliable parking space. Good wifi. Daughter of the host fluent in English, and help for everything. She also respons messages promptly. Definitely worths price, highly recommended.

Apartment is located in the building with free public parking space in front. There are two apartments one on top of another. Host is living in one and the second one is divided in 3 separate apartments for rent. We got smallest one. It consisted of small toilet with shower, half balcony half kitchen and main room with tv ect...

Great apartment, it has everything you need. Comfy bed, dining table and parking. The owners are really great, they explained everything when we arrived. The location is great, in the quiet street, there are a lot of stores and a bakery near the apartment. There is a 10-15 min walk to the center of Ohrid. We will definitely be back once we are in Ohrid.

Make sense to add more bath stuff: shampoo, gel, and so on.
Nice room, friendly owner. Easy and pleasant communication. Had difficulties while checking in (a horrible storm). Owner managed to solve sll issues.

The property was not as advertised. There was about 10-15 photos and what I got was a studio with no kitchen sink. The photos I saw and the apartment I got were very different. The host should have told me from the start the advertising was different from the truth.
The host was very kind, helpful with local activities and beaches.
