How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewEverything was just great, from check-in to check-out. It was very nice to receive a complimentary birthday cake, fruit plate and a bottle of red wine from the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and always ready to help, and the views from the terrace were just fantastic
The noise from the nearby construction site made it a bit difficult to sit on the terrace, and a construction crane sometimes blocked the view, but there was nothing you could do about it

Verified reviewHotel is simply stunning, the balcony and sea views with the hammock are incredible to look at and to utilise, the staff (in particular Denis) could honestly not be more helpful and kind. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at and wouldn’t question returning if we came back to Montenegro. It’s safe, secure, clean, well decorated, modern and you can hardly hear any disturbances from the outside when your patio doors are closed. Denis was perfect at being on hand via WhatsApp to help arrange any taxis or excursions we wanted to go on and arranged a boat ride when we arrived to enjoy the sunset around the bay. Absolutely perfect! Breakfast and all food at the hotel and drinks are all also perfect. Only a short journey to arrive in Budva from the airport via a transfer arranged by Denis and equally a short journey to Kotor to enjoy that town too.
Absolutely no fault of the hotel but there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel however with the doors closed at night and the air con on there were no disturbances and we were never disturbed in the early morning when we wanted a lie in

Verified reviewBreakfast was served to the room at our request. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. To the point of making gluten free bread for my girlfriend especially. Really amazing. Every time we arrived to the room in the afternoon, 5 min after we got into the room, there was a knock on the door and a beautiful fruit plate was delivered. Truly exceptional.
The only issue we experienced was the fact that there is construction outside the hotel and it is noisy during the day. As we spent the days touring around it really only bugged us during breakfast as it was simply impossible to sit outside. However, the staff apologized for it so many times I really feel bad even writing this.

Verified reviewThe service and the rooms were fantastic. The balconies were great for chilling out on and especially in the hammock and the beds were the best we’ve ever slept in.
I should have done more research but was surprised there was no Pool or access to the beach or a gym in the hotel. No fault of the hotel just my wrong assumption.

Verified reviewThis hotel was exquisite. The attention to detail in every way was second to none. I have stayed in many luxury hotels and this hotel by far is the best we have ever stayed in. Milica and Dragana thought of every detail and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and all our needs were anticipated and met. Having stayed at the Four Seasons and other similar hotels previously, I can say the service and quality of the room here was above all.
Nothing, I have no complaints! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Verified reviewWe had a beautiful stay at this hotel. The staff that supported us, Dragana, Milica and Denis were extremely professional, pleasant and helpful. They offered service and support on things they would observe on their own before we asked. They also helped answer questions on getting to places even after we checked out. The room was very serene and the details were all luxurious, beautiful view from the balcony. We loved the option of breakfast in our room so we could enjoy the beautiful view and comfort of our room. Breakfast was top notch. There were plenty of nice gestures, such as welcome drink and complimentary fruit platters. Thanks!

Perfect location 2 minutes close to Stari Grad, breathtaking view to the sea and marvelous interior. The breakfast served in the room is superb! The service exceeded my expectations and the friendliness of the staff, impeccable cleanliness. I will definitellly come with my wife during the summer. Once you get into the hotel, you feel like a VIP!:)

Verified reviewAbsolutely great place. Very well located, near the sea and old Town. Spacious, confortable and clean room. All the room facilities you need and very friendly and responsive staff. The view from the terrace was amazing and we enjoyed having a glass of wine there. Breakfast is abundant. The Hastens bed offers a perfect rest.
