Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThere was no shower in the swimming pool area, there could have been more dishes and cutlery available (though it's nice that they were provided), and the selection of fresh bread at breakfast could be improved.
We remembered our stay very well, especially the atmosphere. Very friendly staff, friendly owners, good breakfasts. The hotel has a restaurant/bar where you can order something to eat and drink - good (for Montenegro) prices and good quality. Nice location - quite close to the beach, admittedly it was not the most beautiful, but you could easily reach other beaches in the area. Very close to the bus station. Pool is not too big, but never crowded, even it was the middle of the season. It was easy to find available sun loungers by the pool at any time of day. Cool water, which is a big plus. The hotel was clean, a few things could be more polished, but I'm a perfectionist so don’t listen to me. ;) Interiors as ok as possible, all the equipment was in good condition, good value for money. Close to shops, markets and nice old town. Highly recommended!

The room itself, the bathroom especially the shower, was so spacious. Loved the breakfast. A wonderful place to stay, the owner Danilo was very helpful and all of the staff were lovely.

They were always available and happy to help with anything we needed, offering great tips and assistance throughout our stay. The place itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. We truly felt cared for — highly recommended for anyone visiting Montenegro!

SwedenThe breakfast could do with some variation. Now it was the same every day.
The poolarea was fantastic and a lot of lovely shade from grape wines and kiwi trees. The staff was super friendly. When we arrived we got welcome drinks and Danilo sat down and told us about the facilities and the surrounding areas. What to see and not 😀. Would definitely stay here again!

IrelandNothing to complain about—everything was great. Any issue we had was resolved very quickly and efficiently."
Very nice place to stay! We arrived late for check-in but were warmly welcomed by the owner and offered free drinks. Despite the late hour, we were still able to order food. Danilo gave us a great overview of the town and showed us the best beaches and places to visit on a map. The pool was very nice and clean, shaded by kiwi and grape plants, which looked truly stunning. The room was small but comfortable, and it was cleaned every day. The bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade, but it was functional and clean. Breakfast was very nice, with something new added each day. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast outdoors under the beautiful kiwi plant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The villa is located close to the beaches and the old town—about a 15-minute walk—and the area felt very safe. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to everyone!

Perfect place. We stayed here for the whole week, 7 nights. Clean room with all one might need. Pool and private for hotel residents only. Breakfast was good, also would recommend their food outside breakfast hours. We had propably our best dinner there in Montenegro. Staff really friendly, Danilo welcomed us with drinks :) and let us know some details about the area and of course hotel. Overall good experience and will go back when in Budva Montenegro. Quiet area but walkable to the beach area and other. Shops and restaurants near by. Laundry service and also car rental just around the corner. Also transfer possible to airports if needed/requested, worked for us cos we had early flights.

United KingdomBathroom floor got very wet when showering in room 2. Had a Jaegermeister at the bar but wasn’t the real stuff until a new bottle was opened, but it was a very good substitute, and had a pizza on our last night and it was tomato ketchup on the base (I hate tomato ketchup).
Friendly, clean, comfortable, nice quiet area.

United KingdomI really enjoyed my stay in Villa Bojana. The family who run the Villa are kind and helpful, and gave me lots of advice on where to visit. The hotel has a real family feel. The pool area was nice, although I didn't use it because of the weather. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The property is around a 20 minute walk from the old town and 10 minutes from the beach front, but the benefit of this is that it's quieter and the walk is easy and pleasant. Overall the property is really good value, and a great base for exploring Budva and wider Montenegro.

Local buses close by. 2 wonderful local coffee shops and bakery within 5 mins of the hotel. Cute pool with lounges. Free water in reception as tap water not advised. RomaniaMosquito nets maybe would be helpful on a door/windows. Didn't try any repellant while we were there but in the night time we closed every openings and ran AC for a while as we got quite a few mosquitos coming in.
Price/value wise it's a no brainer 10/10 with an amazing host, helpful any time you'dneed him. On the first day he gave us a map and showed us the 'don't miss out' parts of Budva which guided us very well through out our stay there.

United KingdomGreat hotel. It's slightly off the main strip, but that was a bonus for us as a family. Local restaurants, craft beer bars and supermarkets are all within 5 minutes walk. It's a safe 15-minute walk into town/beach. The pool was fab, sunbeds were readily available and clean towels were provided. The food was good with a fabulous buffet breakfast each day. The staff were superb, friendly and informative and couldn't do enough.
