Landlady is very nice elder lady, we had a coffee and she brought some cakes, another day she invited as on beer. Very good people and good hospitality

The nicest part of this place it is definitely the owner and her family, they were very kind and welcoming people from the very first moment. Plus it's located in the city centre and close to the beach or any interesting spot.

I stayed in a room with a window to the corridor so there was not much privacy and the areas were not very clean, but because of the price it's quite acceptable.

The price and the cats in the yard

The house is difficult to find, there is no sign and not even the street number on it, the only way to find it is asking neighbors, however very few of them speak English, and even fewer know where this house is. The room is a bit rundown, but that could be ok for the price. What is not ok is that the owner shows absolutely no interest in having guests and communication is close to zero if you don't speak Serbian.

I was received by Stojana, the wonderful lady of the house, who even though I was early offered me coffee, sigarettes and a sandwich, while nicely chatting together with her younger nephews. Atmosphere is very familiar: the house cat, family members coming and going, the figues tree, yet I had private spaces on the middle floor of a nice traditional house. Position is conveniently a few steps away from the bus station, right next to markets and supermarkets and just 10 minutes walking from the local beach.

I can't say it was easy finding the right address, since street name and number wasn't really present and there was no sign on the house as well (if you don't speak Serbian communications might be a bit tough). As mentioned before, you stay in a family house, so you really shouldn't expect that much silence at early hours or before bed time. Maybe also positioning of the kitchen equipment wasn't the best of solutions (fridge in the room, stove on the terrace, sink on different floor), and a little renovation and tiding up could really improve the quality of guests stay.

I could give this a 0 rating I would. Please read for an honest review on this place. I Messaged with a time that I was coming so they would be prepared, around 2pm which was the check in time. Called multiple times when I got down the street and all calls were ignored. Had to ask neighbours around where the place was. I paid more for a “studio” because it had a “private bathroom, washing machine, etc” She then wanted 20Euro extra then the price from booking.com, I then showed her the booking on my phone and she ignored it and changed the topic. We were given 1 roll of toilet paper for a week, the stove was broken so told us to cook outside and you don’t actually get to wash your clothes when you want. You actually use their washing machine which is down in their house. We wanted to wash our clothes, she then proceeded to take it from my hands and emptied it out when I told her I would do it. She then rambled on and said to save yourself washing it by hand I can do it for you no problem. When in the ad it clearly states there’s a washing machine. We asked for a second load to be washed, we were confronted by her and her daughter and they said it was ridiculous that we want to wash our clothes. The place was falling apart, dirty and down right disgusting. The grandson also slams balls into the walls at all times and run around screaming. I’ve taken photos of the whole place. The TV gave my an electric shock and also doesn’t work. I almost fell off the toilet because it’s not secured to the ground. No Wifi. No privacy whatsoever. Land lady’s kids or grandkids were throwing rocks and hitting an innocent cat. Captured it all on video. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I also had to listen hours worth of balls slamming into walls. when I was showering the light circuit broke and it was like a small explosion from the electricity in the bathroom. She lied about the whole property on booking.com and uses tourists.

Location is good, that's about all.

No internet. Very little privacy, entry is via next door property. Location on Booking.com is nowhere near. Without prior directions, impossible to find. Little to recommend apart from the price.
