How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel has a wonderful location at the Jaz beach with its own beach area with enough free places. We had a breathtaking view of the sea from the balcony. Food was very tasty (we had a breakfast included and paid also for buffet dinner). Free parking. At the beach there is a possibility to rent a kayak and we very much liked it.
There are not many places to visit in the evening nearby.

Verified reviewsolid breakfast buffet with good food and a wide selection. the staff is friendly. the hotel itself is rather nice visually. the beach was nice, however we did find it odd that on the day of checkout we were not given the opportunity to use the beaches sunbeds as guests but were expected to pay for a set like the non guests who can also come to the hotels beach but need to pay for sunbeds. this struck us as odd since in countless hotels we've stayed at we were allowed to keep using the hotels facilities (like pool and beach) just like the paying guests we are even on the day of checkout. (the hotel is listed as having a private beach, this may be true in the sense that it belongs to the hotel but it does not mean it is exclusively for guests as they do rent out sunbeds to anyone willing to pay guest or not)
there was a general lack of coordination among the hotels different moving parts, and there were several instances of rather unacceptable incidents that I would not expect from a 4 star rated hotel. for example: -we booked a room with an ocean view, and were given one with barley a sliver of ocean view since it was obscured by one of the hotels buildings right in front of us on one side and a cliffside on the other. in addition the room was not properly cleaned , as there was old stale food left by the previous guest in the cabinets above the sink in the kitchenette. we therefore asked to be moved to a different room and were moved the next day. however, i did mention to the reception that the old food that was NOT ours is in the cabinets just so that they know that it was not cleaned properly and they should be aware of that. to our surprise when we entered our new room the next day the old food that i specifically said was NOT ours was moved to the new room as well. -one evening we requested another blanket be brought to our room, after half an hour of silence we called the front desk again, and only then were we brought was was effectively just a sheet. the next morning we asked at the front desk if we can have another blanket brought to our room during the house keeping rounds, we were told yes, and of course , when we returned to the room later that day there was no blanket, so we needed to ask the front desk yet again, to yet again receive just another sheet. -in what is probably the most outrageous incident , on the last morning of our stay , at 8 in the morning while my partner and i were still asleep, the lights all suddenly came on , as that is what happens automatically when someone opens the rooms front door. i have no idea why but a member of the housekeeping staff let herself into our room hours before the check out time (10 AM) and long before they do the cleaning rounds, why? as i said, no idea. this was a serious violation of our privacy.

Verified reviewThe location at the beach front was great. Staff at the reception was super helpful, especially Blashko who parked our car for us and fetched it when we wanted to go.
It is a resort for families with little kids. There were lots of screaming kids at the beach and the dining room. It's probably ok when you have your own kids, but not when you want to relax.

Verified reviewChef and servers very friendly food good Lots options
Found out on arrival can’t use the tap water. So had to go out to purchase water yo brush teeth and take medication. No sense having dishes and kitchen when don’t have any water to wash dishes or use water for cooking . This should be disclosed prior to arrival. The front desk clerk was polite but did not share this info when we checked in, would have been appropriate for her to mention vs finding a handout in room . And water should be provided . This was an inconvenience. However the next two nights we stayed in Kotor and they provided large water bottle water each morning

Verified reviewThe hotel is located very conveniently next to the beach and has all the facilities one could need. The room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel has plenty of food and drink options. The breakfast was also very nice.
We couldn't rent a lounger in the beach as they hadn't started providing one yet.

Verified reviewThe hotel is beautiful right to the beach and the view from my room is amazing. Only downside is the transportation, I way to far from the city and to travel to the mainland cost you fortune. Taxi is expensive. More than Monaco
very far from the city and no transportation, taxi is expensive
