Genuinely could not criticise anything about the Palazzo.

Communication was great even before we arrived. Nigel was very helpful in giving advice on the best way to get to the Palazzo. Once we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful it was. We were staying in the pool house so walked through the garden every time we were coming and going, which was lovely. The trees and plants create natural shade, which was appreciated in the heat! The area by the bay was stunning and being able to jump straight into the Bay of Kotor and swim gave the most incredible view of the mountains. Nigel and Philip are wonderful hosts. The breakfast with homemade muesli, fresh fruit, homemade jams and great coffee was a bonus as was meeting other guests. We are already looking at when we can come again!

A car is needed to get around easily; the bus comes only every 30–40 minutes.

Like most places in southern Europe, during extreme heat, it is challenging to keep up with air conditioning. (During our three day stay it was over 100 F every day.) So our room was warmer than we would have preferred, but a provided fan definitely helped.

Really great host - Filip went above and beyond to provide whatever we needed. If reviews say otherwise, I’d suggest they are difficult, if not impossible, customers to please! The stay wasn’t “perfect”, but a good host overcomes any challenges.

Nothing, the place feels like you’re staying in one big beautiful guest house.

A phenomenal place to stay, Nigel is a fantastic host who has thought of everything to make your stay pleasant. He will book restaurants for you, park your car in the tricky spot he has reserved for guests, and always make sure you’re having a nice time. Phillip is also an amazing member of staff who prepares a beautiful breakfast each morning and makes a great coffee. We would love to come back again!

Our experience at Palazzo Sbutega could not have been better. Just 5km outside Kotor Prcnj is a perfect and authentic village to explore the bay. The Palazzo is wonderful, nicely decorated with much thought and style. Yet, the best are Nigel and Filip. Both are such warm and kind hosts, always giving you the feeling to be truly welcome. They provide such valuable advice to explore the area. I will definitely come back to Palazzo Sbutega when visiting the area.

I loved our stay in the Boka room. We felt like the luckiest people in the world to have picked this place to stay. Nigel made everything so easy for us with restaurant bookings and suggestions. It was like staying with a friend. Breakfast was great. Swimming in the crystal clear water just opposite the house was magic.

We arrived by taxi & before we were fully unloaded, Filip greeted us. I was immediately taken by the elegant, luxurious & chic design in every room we entered. What a find! Filip is a local and knows everyone and everything about the area. He directed us to a small grocery store & ATM within walking distance. He made us a dinner reservation at a lovely spot on the water just steps away from the B&B. We picked our sea bass from a cooler! It was delightful and delicious. Upon returning, the view from our window was a beautiful illumination of the town across the water. The bed was so comfortable and our towels were heated. Soon we met Nigel, the owner and creator of this outstanding B&B. I took to him right away. He is as charming as the property. He told us all about this piece of paradise & how he has renovated and flipped houses all over the world. His experience and expertise is reflected throughout. He also has a connection to our town north of Houston. Unusual! Time permitting Nigel visited with us at breakfast & whenever we were”home” at the property. It’s a nice walk or short taxi ride into old town. Climbing the old city walls is a must. Amazing views. A trip to the blue cave is not to be missed. Breakfast is fresh, light and delicious. Excellent cappuccino!

We had the pool house. A very nice apartment with an amazing design.The bedroom is 2 floors up With kind of steep ladder stairs. For me it’s not a problem but for my partner it was inconvenient.The breakfast was good but could be richer with some cheese, ham and some vegetables.

N/A - it was all truly lovely.

There’s nothing not to like about Palazzo Sbutega - it is a truly dreamy place. The property itself is stunning and so tastefully renovated. Prčanj is charming and so idyllic, but close enough to benefit from everything Kotor has to offer. The views of the bay (especially at night) are stunning - we recommend breakfast out on the pontoon for the perfect boat watching spot! But the most special thing about this property is by far Nigel and Filip and their exceptional hosting. From the offset it is like being welcomed by friends and they went above and beyond to make our stay a special one. Nigel’s recommendations of where to eat around Prčanj, Kotor and Perast were second to none! We loved our stay and will be recommending this place to all of our loved ones. Our stay was perfect - the property was beautiful, location perfect and Nigel and Phillip treated us as if we were lifelong friends and made us feel at home here! It’s a beautiful, well furnished property, beautifully located. The service is excellent, Nigel is superkind and the personal service made for a perfect few days. He’s and excellent host and was very flexible with our requests. We were happy with the breakfast (many homemade components) and the boat trip that was arranged for us. The skipper was a great options while visiting Perast for the evening. We are superglad we opted for this hotel / b&b ! Some of the best service I ever had, I should opt for b&b’s more often !

Maybe filtered coffee in breakfast. Its really hard to find good coffee in Montenegro.
