Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaThe room and things were not the cleanest, to say the least. To put it nicely the room looked like it was under renovations. The electric stovetop was not available during my stay. There is a small window next to the door that has no curtains. The entrance to the room is uncomfortable, it's on the side of a house, and you have to go down a corridor to the end and pass a lot of tall plants that get in the way. Nice plants/flowers but annoying to have to brush past them. Location-wise the place is just about 5 blocks from a supermarket but other than that it's pretty far from the center, It's also very difficult to find because the house has no number. The owner will only give you a postal code. If you take a taxi, they will take you to the postal office which is right next to the house. I recommend asking the owner to pick you up. I believe the wifi is just a hotspot connection from the owner's phone, sometimes at night until around noon it would go away, but other than that it worked well. The bathroom had no sink and no mirror. It's a bit confusing for some of us who aren't used to it, but you have to turn off the water heater before taking a shower and turn it back on when you're done with your shower.
Good value for money. Small shed-like room with a sofa bed and private bathroom. Preferable to staying at a crowded hostel room. The shower was great with hot water. The people that live in the house minded their own business and I never even saw them. The owner was pretty attentive and considerate whenever I contacted him. He also offered taxi services, which made getting there and leaving for my next place very convenient. He will not overcharge you, unlike other taxi drivers. He offered to pick me up from the bus station for 4 euros. Check-in and check-out hours were very flexible.

Germany- if you have a phobia of insects, you'd better opt for another place. The house is not well isolated, there are many cracks around the door, the window, between the walls and the ceiling, where insects or lizards can easily pass. I saw an escaping lizard twice and some bugs in the bathroom. I haven't seen any spiders, and I slept well. - The sound isolation is bad: you hear people and noises from the main house, cars and dogs from the street - No hangers in the bathroom, and in the room. You can put your belongings on your bed or on the cupboard, that's all - The house is a little far from the city centre - blanket without duvet cover - Internet was working the 1st day only, then it disappeared
This is a small house added to the main house, located in the countryside, far from Podgorica city centre. There is a small clean room with a small window, a bed (=transformed couch), a small cupboard table and a ventilator. There are many outlets in the room. The cupboard has a can with coffee and some cups (not clean). But there is no boiler, so you can't make a coffee. You also have a private toilet combined with a shower. Overall the house is a good option for the given price, if you need a place to sleep, and you aren't afraid of garden fauna. Benefits: + private toilet, shower + garden, singing birds + many electric points + ventilator + cleanliness

United KingdomThe room is falling apart a bit but this is totally worth it if you consider just how cheap the property is.
The property was extremely cheap so great for travellers on a budget. It does the job well.

NetherlandsYou need at least half an hour to walk to the centre area of town. But it is still a reasonable distance for a walk. Don't forget you absolutely must message the host in time before arrival for the exact location , or you will never be able to find it.
I wanted the cheapest private room in town , and I found it. you get a simple room and clean bed with your own private entrance through the garden. in a local area. Nothing to complain for this price ! perfectly fair. There should be more of these in any country ! If someone complains for more luxury and a bigger bed in an amazing room , they better book a Hilton and complain there.

CyprusYes it is cheap.. BUT there is no sink, no toilet paper. The floor was dirty and there was a general feeling of humidity (so if you have asthma, I don't recommend it at all! Baby cockroach coming out of the hole of the shower... I think that there has been said too much.. so just be aware of all these and the rest comments !
The owner was friendly and let me open my tent in their front courtyard to dry my trip gear (tent)

United KingdomIt’s a little shed with just enough space for one bed and one person to stand. Also literally no sink in the washroom. Property only accepted cash and we were €4 short of total amount and we reached 10PM at night. We promised to pay next day and we did but host literally sent me a text message first thing in the morning reminding to pay €4. Really bad experience.
Nothing was good.

MontenegroSomewhat far from the city center to come and go often, clean enough but still could take some dusting, no space to put/hang your stuff.
The room was fairly clean, had a good heater, hot water, hosts were decent and of service, and all in all good value for the price.
