Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandNot the cleanest place on earth but for this price you just get what you pay for. Also it's quite hard to communicate with staff on booking or WhatsApp at times
Very friendly staff and the place is very chilled. Good if you look for a proper hostel experience. The location is actually okay. It's a bit of a walk but it's a nice and quiet neighborhood

United KingdomMosquitos! Lots of them. Also the toilet wasn't fixed properly and we had to walk around the street to use a proper working one or risk the one in the hostel. It is also very far from everything. But if that's what you want then so be it.
It's a nice little place, great for getting away from it all if that's what you want. Quite cozy and we had good chats. Great for arriving super late!

GermanyReally nice place with a big garden and places to stay everywhere. Chairs, sunbeds and hammocks all around. My bedroom was big and the bed super comfortable. According to the location there are a lot of mosquitos but all windows are covered with nets- so no bites inside. Just one bathroom in the main house but more showers and toilets available a few meters away. Super clean over there.

United KingdomThere is only one bathroom which can be a bit annoying as people knock on the door for their turn or you need to wait quite a while to use the bathroom. It is not a short walk to town, and at night time you might get hastled by street dogs on the way from town.
It had a great yard , and there are fig trees all over, the rooms are comfortable. It is nice especially if you need time away from crowd and noise

United KingdomNo AC but not necessarily needed as location cools a little during night. Location is a bit far from city but very accessible in 30mins if willing to walk which we did. Extra bathrooms is in seperation building but much nicer than one in main building.
Nature feel and quite if you’re looking for something remote. More relaxing rather than party which is nice. In relation to location it is next to train and bus station.

PolandThis place could use some work done, it can be a really good place for camping or an escape from the city. The location is not the best, but they can't do much with it. It shouldn't be much of a downside
It is a really nice, remote and quiet hostel. The staff was nice and helpful. The hostel itself is very colorful and interestingly looking. The garden surrounding it is a good place for relaxation, but the bugs will bother you.

GermanyIf you walk there the hostel is hard to find and there are not enough signs. You walk there on the train tracks for a bit It was close to the bus station which was positive Its 2,8km till you reach the beach and 1,7km to the next (big) supermarket There is only one bathroom+shower in the main house which is old and bit dirty (two more are located 2 walking minutes away) The shower only had super hot or freezing cold water and the shower head is not fixed to the wall so the water does not get on your head
Its a quiet and calm place with a campsite, very nice atmosphere in the outdoor space Rooms are okay for the price, kitchen is good too but everything is a bit broken and shabby

CanadaDue to the natural surroundings there were lots of mosquitoes. Not much the facility can do about that though.
We chose the location for its proximity to rail and bus station. It was close to both but still peaceful and quiet.

SerbiaEven though it is a 10 minute walk away from bus and train terminal, it is really far from any beach. That wild beach in the photos is a bit misleading, you have to hike about 2 hours to get there. Again about 40 minute walk to the nearest public beach.
The place has a very positive energy flow. You will immediately feel like at your own home. The volunteer staff is amazing They are always smiling, helpful and friendly. The environment is serene and peaceful, but at night it can turn into a rave in the woods if guests are in the mood for it. Musquitos are really disturbing but people usually bond over that collective problem lol. The rooms have window nets and they always keep the building doors closed so musquitos don't really bother you when you are indoors.

DenmarkMOSQUITOES!! They were all over, unfortunately :( So remember to bring some protective spray. Also, the management of the hostel seems a bit loose and uncoordinated, but I found that part of the charm.
Really unique place. With lots of backpackers and surrounded by beautiful mountains, we had an amazing stay. The atmosphere is great and people are very welcoming. Loved the hammocks, paintings on the wall and the small kittens.

DenmarkThat being said. There’s three flaws with the place. Two minor and one major. Since the place is run by volunteers not everything is in perfect order all the time. This I could live with cause it was always good enough (and the life that the volunteers brought to the place thoroughly outweighed the small inconveniences I encountered). The owners absence can mostly be felt in the toilet and bathroom facilities. There’s only one working bathroom/we in the main house and it is not enough. There is two more toilets and baths a few hundreds meter always, but they are not in great condition. Additionally the hostel is about 30-40 minute walk from the city. This is a minor inconvenience since it also means that the hostel is away from noise, and entrenched in the beautiful Montenegrin nature. Lastly but also most importantly, the place is riddled with mosquitoes. Omg so many mosquitoes. This is the only true negative about the place. The owner and the volunteers do try to alleviate the issue with smoke candles and sprays but it wasn’t enough. Even still, I loved my time here and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
This place is special. There’s a certain vibe and you feel it as soon as you enter the grounds. There’s a sense of community a serenity that you don’t find in many hostels. I stayed at Namaste for one week and I never once met the owner. Instead I became friends with the volunteers who ran the place. A lovely group of friendly Aussies who made my stay there really special. There’s a dog who lives there named Shanti and she’s really lovely. Besides the dog, there was three little kittens when I was there. Julia, Cheddar and Feta. All three had been saved a few days before my arrival. People took trips together, made friends, barbecued and one even held a birthday party. We sadly also had to throw a funeral for one of the kittens, Feta. It was a beautiful ceremony and you can probably find his grave if you go looking. I fully recommend going to Namaste.
