Very quiet, peaceful location, and a really warm and friendly hotel. The owner has done a brilliant job of converting his family’s old house and the result is a great little hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, and the owner himself is frequently present, offering advice on what to see and do locally. The bedrooms are calm and spacious, and we all slept really well. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent.

We honestly have no negative points to mention. Just one small suggestion: adding ice cream options for children to the dessert menu would be a lovely touch!

We had a wonderful stay at the Ruzmarin Hotel. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed and felt at home in this family-run hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially towards the children. Joshy, the regular cleaner, sometimes gave them chocolates or beautiful drawing and sticker books, which they enjoyed throughout the trip—and even afterwards. Alexa was super friendly and always ready to help us with a smile or a drink. Everything went smoothly, and we received great assistance when renting a car. This truly is a family hotel: warm, welcoming, with a full and delicious breakfast, and a great kitchen. The prices in the restaurant were very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. We felt truly welcome with the kids. Every day we enjoyed the swimming pool and relaxing on our little terrace by the pool, where we sometimes also enjoyed our meals. As a lovely farewell gesture, we received a delicious bottle of wine from the hotel owner to take home. :)

Such a beautiful hotel! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming — a true family hotel where you instantly feel at home. The staff is incredibly kind, and the hotel is spotless. A special thank you to Lazar, the head of the house — he’s truly wonderful and made our stay even more special. We had the best time here! The breakfast was extraordinary — fresh, delicious, and full of variety. The hotel is located just 5–8 minutes by car from Budva, which made it easy to enjoy both relaxation and the city. Highly recommend this place — we would absolutely come back!

The lighting especially the bedside lamps were too bright and the bathroom could have another towel rail.

This beautiful, family-run boutique hotel in the mountains just outside Budva truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt so warmly welcomed. To our delight, the staff had surprised us with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a chilled bottle of Prosecco in our room to celebrate our anniversary and birthday. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for a really special stay. The team here are exceptional—genuinely kind, attentive, and always going out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. We dined in the hotel a couple of nights and the food was absolutely delicious, served with the same warmth and care that we felt throughout our visit. What really made it unforgettable were the personal touches. On checkout, they even gifted us a bottle of rosé to take with us—a gesture that summed up just how much heart this place puts into everything they do. It felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being looked after by friends.

This is a beautiful hotel in the hills just 10 Minutes from the main town of Budva. The hotel has a gorgeous restaurant, we ate there twice and it was the best food we had. The staff were attentive and friendly. Loved our stay here.

We had a car, main areas to visit were only a short drive but not in walking distance.

Water provided in the rooms would be a nice addition. Location was further from Budva than we expected, but it wasn’t hard to get a taxi to/from the Old town

We took the apprtment , it was wide and cozy , and very clean.. the staf is great and helping in whatever is needed. The resturant is great and the breakfast ia exactly what is needed. Itis far 10 min from the crowded budva streets which is perfect I gueas it is one of the best hotels for those who want to be at budva but far from the noise.

Large family house renovated in a beautiful hotel, very pleasant environment with an open great view from the restaurant terrasse! The hosts are very nice, friendly and helpful. It was one of the best hotel our family has spend one week in. We highly recommend it to any couple or family looking for a beautiful quiet place ideally located to visit Montenegro.

The location was perfect. We were able to get a taxi to the old town - 10 minutes away but we were out of the main Budva area so it was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, staff were so helpful, prices for restaurant and drinks very reasonable. The spa was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Just as a warning to those driving a car hire .. narrow roads up and a difficult turning from one approach. We think could benefit for more variety in evening meal menu e.g. a couple of specials

Beautiful setting and views, clean and lovely buildings and pool areas. Comfy beds and sofa bed. Lovely breakfast and lunch options. Cocktails by the pool. Fridge in apartment for own food and drink. The main strength is the super helpful family owners and their staff ... they go out of the way to advise and help book local activities.

The hotel is quite high in the hills above Budva, so you need to take a taxi/car to get anywhere, unless you are OK with a long steep walk. We feel it would be better to accommodate adults only, as there were some younger children staying at the hotel who were quite noisy and detracted from the boutique hotel relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel and grounds are beautifully designed and built, with lovely terraces with amazing views. The rooms are contemporary, modern and well equipped, with enough space and private balcony too. The pool is a good size and temperature, and there is a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi too. The staff were friendly and attentive but allowed you to relax and take your time, as you should in this kind of boutique hotel. The owner Lazar was very helpful and actually took us to the Sveti Stefan beach and island himself, rather than needing to take a taxi, which was amazing customer service! The food is of excellent quality, well prepared and served, although the menu is a little limited.

Whilst some note the location as an issue we were very happy to be away from the town whilst easily being able to get taxis back and forth.

This family run property is a real gem in Budva. The team under the excellent management made it a joy to be there. Nothing was too much trouble and each guest was made to feel important and special. In addition the facilities were excellent including food. This is without a doubt the best place to stay in Budva.
