We loved the local authentic stay! The host family were so kind and treated us like family! The highlight was definitely the dinner paired with a wine tasting! The food comes from their garden. The rose wine was our favorite!! I loved every bit of this experience at this place and if you are coming to Montenegro, it is worth going out of your way to come here. It is a must do for an authentic experience!

Absolutely nothing. Everything was wonderful.

Everything. I loved everything! Jelena and Ivo are incredible hosts. And the location is magical. I was welcomed with juice and a seat at their outdoor table. For dinner there was wonderful food and tasty wine that Ivo makes himself from the grapes in their garden. Breakfast was fresh fruit from the garden, meats, cheeses, and fresh pomegranate juice. I stayed in the big apartment on night one as that’s all that was available. I moved to a smaller room the next day. I would have stayed longer, but they were sold out. I can’t wait to return.

Be prepared for the natural wildness with bees and insects. Although the hosts try their best to keep them away, it's unavoidable. This would be the only reason why I would probably limit my stay to 2 nights

Excellent hosts, very homely, inviting, warm and genuine people. Yelena's food was delicious, home made and fresh. Rooms are very cutely designed with a great view. You can get a complete local authentic comfortable experience here. Highly recommended.

Apartment Mond is an absolute gem. ♥️ From the moment we arrived, Elena and Ivo made us feel like part of their warm, sweet, and welcoming family. Elena’s cooking is truly exceptional- both breast, dinner and Ivo’s wine. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience, full of fresh, local flavours and love in every detail. The view here is nothing short of epic. No photo can prepare you for it- the mountains feel close enough to touch, drawing you in until you forget about everything else. Nature is right at your doorstep. It’s worth knowing that Limljani is about 15 minutes from Virpazar. If you have a car, it’s perfect- you get both the convenience of visiting Lake Skadar’s attractions and the peace of a more secluded, authentic village setting. Without a car, the location might be trickier. Apartment Mond is unforgettable.

A little far from town so need car or Elena can organise taxi for €15. Only stayed 1 night as had cruise booked from town, would have been nice to spend two nights if transport options easier without a car

Absolutely beautiful escape in the Montenegrin countryside . Elena was a funny charming host who could not do enough for us. We ate in and dinner was wonderful especially as it all came from her amazing garden and joined lovely young Polish couple for fascinating conversation. First night in months we have been able to sleep with open screened windows and no air conditioning- bliss.

Please take an alergy tablet with you just in case, as there are a lot of huge bees and wasps.

We loved the family. Great communication and even a goodbye gift from their own produce. We loved the breakfast, everything fresh and homemade. Apartment very beautiful, even with cot, which we didn't ask for in advance. Balcony. Remote quite location. A swallow nest with babies. Great. Also, AC is upstairs and works very well, so don't keep doors open.

Ivo and Yelena are excellent people. If you want a quiet and peaceful holiday, it is a perfect holiday destination. They offered us wine. And I definitely recommend buying it from the wines they make. You can even visit just to listen to the head and drink good wine. Thank you very much Ivo! Thank you very much Yelena! And sweet girls. Bugs, but arguably they are everywhere in nature and to be expected in the middle of a rural location. There was a local power cut (NOT the venues fault), which meant the AC was out for a while.

A small tip: Don’t forget mosquito repellent! It’s part of the charm of staying close to nature, but better to be prepared

I usually don’t leave reviews, but in this case, I simply couldn’t not share my experience. This stay was one of the highlights of my entire trip. The place has a real soul to it. Elena, the host, was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. For me, having a clean bed is crucial, and although the room was small, it was spotless—exactly what I needed. The food deserves a special mention—it was homemade, fresh, and simply outstanding. I had few glasses of wine with dinner, and surprisingly, no hangover the next day, which says a lot about the quality! The location is superb: peaceful, with beautiful scenery that lets you fully disconnect and enjoy the moment. I was also lucky enough to meet other travelers from Norway, and we ended up having a wonderful evening chat over wine, filled with laughter. Breakfast felt like being back home, and no one rushed me to check out, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Honestly, this was the best part of my whole trip. Thank you, Elena and her husband!

This has nothing to do with the property but driving along the single track roads in the area is not for the faint-hearted!

It is the most incredible place a short drive from Lake Skadar, so peaceful, and with wonderful views, and all set in a traditional Montenegrin farmhouse. But it's the hosts, Ivo and Jelena, that the make it absolutely magical - their generosity and warmth are outstanding and we felt like 'family' while staying there. We so enjoyed their food, both at breakfast and dinner, which was mostly sourced from their garden, not forgetting the delicious wine from their vineyard and the lively conversations. Our thanks to all the family for a perfect stay.

A really lovely place with a sweet owner and staff. I felt very welcome and enjoyed talking to the two women, I should have booked a longer stay. Warmly recommend to people looking for a quiet place away from the crowds in an ancient, but skillfully renovated stone house. Access is via a very narrow road, a bit of caution advised.

Our hosts are amazing. They strive to make you feel at home and totally enjoy staying at their beautiful property. We arranged to have dinner one night. What a wonderful feast. Many of the dishes were made from fresh produce out of their vegetable garden, and the wine is made on site. It's a beautiful setting to relax. At times, the wifi was not very good, but we could cope with that. You definitely need a car to access the property, and the local road is rather narrow, but it's a very pretty drive.

The room was basic and small.

I liked the beautiful surrounding-the guesthouse is situated near Shkodra Lake, among wineries and mountains. The hosts are warm-hearted and hospitable. They welcomed us with cup of tea and their own wine. The breakfast was delicious.

Location although takes some time to get to is beautiful and peaceful - great sitting out reading with a glass of their wine. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, we were fed enough to last multiple days on the night we stayed there - excellent value

We had a great time there especially thanks to the host - Ivo :) We had an amazing dinner with homemade wine and great conversations with the owner. Besides that, the place is located in a beautiful surrounfings, we could see that there was a lot of heart put into building this house. Rooms were very comfy, clean and smelled like fresh loundry. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and hospitality of the whole family running the place. Strongly recommend! If we ever come back to Montenegro, we will stay there again for sure.! :)
