Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgNice people, felt at home, late check-in no problem, they kept our backpacks until the time we had to leave for the station! Lovely view and rooftop. Great breakfast and good location, just outside the old medina.

Everything was perfect. The staff were really helpful from the beginning, the room I’ve stayed was clean, well designed, had everything you need. It maybe difficult to get used to the placement of bathroom for families but for me it was good. And the terrace located at the upstairs where you also have your breakfast was excellent. Add location, Chez L’habitant was perfect for me. Thanks again to the staff.

CanadaThe staircase which goes to the other suite and the roof patio passes through the suite living room. This means that the other guests pass through the living room of your suite to get to theirs - to go to your bathroom from your bedroom you need to pass through this public section. As there are only 3 rental spaces this was not a problem but something to be aware of if you are looking for total privacy.
Incredible Location, easy to find with provided map. Friendly staff, great view.

United KingdomHad to walk across the sitting area to the bathroom.
Located in the Kasbah so an easy walk to all attractions and food. Very spacious, the first floor layout was a seating area and fridge on a large landing, with double bedroom and balcony and big wardrobe and lockable door, second bedroom and sitting area and bathroom with plenty of hot water. The highlight is the roof terrace where a great breakfast was served.

ItalyI was the only guest, so I had the whole house for myself, a real privilege! .Just consider one thing that wasn't clear to me at first. There are two floors. Every floor has a double room + a single room + a not attached bathroom + a living area with a couch (in between room and bathroom). The living area is not private since people walking the stairs or passing by have an approach to this space. .Room door locker can be improved. .The standard written communication in French with the location details is not accessible to all the non French speakers, I would suggest also an English version. Map is not so clear, maybe put directly the Google map link so it's easier to click.:)
Located in the heart of Tanger medina. The house has a lot of taste for details, art and design, you feel instantly at home. Interiors are lovely, better then the pictures. The view from the rooftop terrace is stunning. Very clean and tidy. Staff is kind and helpful. Equipped with everything ( heater, blankets etc). I definitely recommend this place.

PolandThe place is very well located, 5 minutes walking from the old medina. It has a beautiful terrace with a fantastic view over the sea and the city. The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially the guy who was speaking English (I'm sorry, I don't remember the name). They organised me a taxi to and from the airport. Very good breakfast was served at the terrace. Highly recommended.

FranceNothing - the staff make sure everything is to your liking
The staff were wonderfully helpful, with local eating recommendations, sorting very early morning taxi to the airport, and just always being there to help. One of the staff (Munir?) speaks excellent English too. The location is excellent, almost at the top, and just outside, the Kasbah. Great views from the roof terrace, and the best place to eat the wonderful breakfast provided. The room (the only one on the top floor) is traditionally furnished, but the bed is comfortable, and the aircon works well. The bathroom might be the smallest I've experienced, but everything worked fine
