Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruIt was all great! Looking for to go back!
Staying at this hostel was honestly the best thing that could have happened to me. If you’re a solo traveler, THIS IS THE PLACE! Comfy twin bed, breakfast included, 3-minute walk to the beach, budget-friendly restaurants nearby, a surf shop next door, and the coolest hosts in Anza. Momma and Emily made my stay unforgettable and turned the hostel into a true home. I booked 5 nights and ended up staying 10 — and would have extended if I could! Fun is guaranteed. Expect random plans, night swims, Tajín and couscous nights, surf sessions, and karaoke by the bonfire. You’ll never get bored here.

This is a great hostel with one of the best hosts you will find! The host (Momma) is very welcoming and accommodating. He said to me at the start of my stay that if I need anything at all I should just message him and he actually meant it! Momma knows all the best places to eat and things to do in Anza. He is also a fantastic surf instructor which is great if you want good quality fun surf lessons. The hostel itself is in a great location, is clean and is great for meeting other travellers. If you want an authentic Moroccan surf experience this is the place.

PortugalI couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The house was cozy, spotless, and just a short walk from the beach. Momma and Ayoub made everything feel extra special, and the breakfasts were always delicious. Truly felt like a home away from home — thank you!

New ZealandI was very lucky to have this little 4 bed hostel all to myself when I stayed! The entire hostel is very clean, and the room is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and good lighting. At night I locked the front door and felt very safe as a solo female traveler. In the morning, the owner/host Momma made us a nice breakfast and told me about his culture.

CanadaI had an incredible stay here – it truly felt as comfortable as being at home from the very first moment. The bed was super cozy, perfect for resting after surf sessions. Breakfast was delicious, made with love every morning – such a great way to start the day. Momma is more than just a host: he’s warm, energetic, funny, caring, and quickly becomes a friend. The vibe of the place is simple, welcoming, and authentic, all at a very affordable price. As for the surf coaching – it was full of passion and dedication. Momma was truly invested in helping me progress, which made the whole experience even more special. I’m leaving with beautiful memories and already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for everything! 🙏🏻

SpainMy stay at “Surf and Stay Anza”was truly exceptional. I traveled solo, and from the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere felt like home, relaxed, friendly, and full of positive energy. Momma not only provided a clean and comfortable place to stay, but also went above and beyond to ensure I had a meaningful and memorable experience. As a surf instructor, he was incredibly patient, professional, and passionate, each lesson was enjoyable, even for a complete beginner like me. This has been one of the most unique and special experiences of my life. I’m deeply grateful and would highly recommend to “Surf and Stay Anza” anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep, it’s a place where you truly feel cared for. Thank you for everything!

GermanyMomma is truly an outstanding host! The accommodation is super clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need — even an immersion blender! The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast is always fresh and absolutely delicious. I cooked every day during my stay and never missed a single thing in the kitchen. I also worked remotely and was pleasantly surprised by the fast and stable internet connection. Since the beach is just a two-minute walk away, I often took my breaks there — an absolute dream 😊. Momma goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. He helped me with everything — from getting a SIM card to doing laundry. When I got a bit of food poisoning, he immediately went to the pharmacy to get medicine and checked in on me regularly. On top of that, when the zipper on my suitcase broke, he didn’t hesitate to take it for repair. He also frequently invited me to join fun activities, like traditional music evenings, beach sunsets, or simply hanging out with other guests. Right next to the homestay is Momma’s Surf School, and I can’t recommend it enough! I took lessons based on another guest’s recommendation and was absolutely blown away. Momma tailored the session to my individual needs like no other instructor I’ve had before. It was such a great experience that I ended up booking more lessons — also with Ayoub and Nourdin, who were equally fantastic. The best part: since the school is right next door, I could walk back home, take a shower, and enjoy a fresh coffee right after 😊. I was genuinely impressed by everything — the place, the people, and the energy. Momma is such a warm, funny, and attentive host with a wonderful sense of when you’re in the mood to socialize and when you’d prefer some quiet time. I’ll definitely be back!

BrazilHonestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. The whole experience was very positive, from the warm welcome to the last day. I felt comfortable and truly welcomed the entire time.
What I liked the most about the accommodation was, without a doubt, the hospitality of the host, Abdelmajid. I arrived very late, almost 2 a.m., and he was waiting for me with a warm welcome. He asked if I ate fish and, since everything was already closed, he made sure to get something for me to eat. Throughout my stay, he was always very attentive and concerned about my well-being, always trying to help in every possible way. Even though I only speak Portuguese and not English, we managed to communicate using a translator on the phone. He was very patient and always made an effort to explain everything to me, which made me feel truly welcomed. The bed was super comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was traditional and homemade, prepared with great care. The house is small but very cozy and full of positive energy—I felt right at home. Another highlight of the experience was the surf lessons, which come with a discount for guests. It was one of the best experiences of my life! The instructor was really friendly and the interaction was very genuine. Learning to surf in Morocco was surreal. Without a doubt, I would stay here again. Highly recommended!

ColombiaI stayed in this Hostel for 2 Nights and it was Amazing! I had to do a last minute change of my Arrival time and Momma the owner was very kind to help me with the change and understood the situation. I have to Say that I had a great stay here and everything really cool, he Even invited us to have a Tajiine dinner made by himself and we all went to the beach together and had so much fun. He will do anything to make you have a great experience and feel like a local. Also, surf lessons and rental boards can be booked directly. Espero volver pronto.

United KingdomIt's size it was the smallest hostel I've ever stayed in the entrance was through a steel door then it had one room with 4 beds and a small toilet and shower with no hot water no view from the room and no chance of meeting other travellers mostly a bed before your departure flight as it's not far from the airport shuttle bus 🚌
The location for the beach and local bus into Agadir town centre good value for money accommodation in Anza village
