Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe rooftop patio was not as we expected, perhaps not set up for the season. It would have been nice to have variety in the breakfast, or change it up. 4 mornings of bread selections got tiresome.
Great location for walking to the waterfront area and the Medina. The house itself was fun to explore and comfortable.

United KingdomAbsolutely incredible place to see, the interior decor is fantastic. As others have said, ideal location as taxis can pull up right outside on one side of the house, and the other side leads directly into the medina. Incredible views from the rooftop, lovely breakfast. Would gladly stay again. Shower water pressure v good, wifi reliable.

United StatesOur friends had a room where the bed was squeezed into a space such that you could only get in and out of bed at the bottom of the bed. That was also on the 3rd floor which had very steep stairs and wouldn't be ideal for an older person or someone with poor balance. The breakfast felt very minimal too.
Loved the old world charm in the various lobbies and the dining room. It also was on the edge of the Medina where we wanted to spend our time which was great.

United KingdomNothing really.
Great location near the medina and ville neuavou areas - everything in walking distance. Comfortable and spacious rooms with bath. Hotel has lots of communal spaces to chill or read and lots of nick-nacks and quirky decor. Breakfast was good - coffee, breads, jams and fruit The hotel manager met us from the door and answered any questions we had.

RomaniaWe didn’t like the occasional smell of sewage that sometimes lingered in the common areas.
We really liked the friendly and attentive staff, the beautiful house decoration, the convenient location with easy access, the delicious breakfast, the stunning view, and the reliable Wi-Fi.

NorwayOur room had a very large window with a great view of the Marina, but had no curtain to block the lights of the city or morning sun, and it wasn’t possible to open the window. Could be very irritating. No hairdryer at all. Bathroom had no shower screen around the bathtub and the floor got very wet. Door to the room had a very old lock that was difficult to operate.
A huge location advantage. It is possible to enter from the road outside the Medina meaning you can get a taxi to the door and avoid a long walk through the Medina. As well it can be entered from inside the Medina. It is not a Riad, but an original old house that looks very traditional, and is also traditionally furnished and decorated with an extraordinary collection of things.

United StatesBe aware that when you rent this property, there are some serious stairs. Bedrooms were on the second, third and fourth floors. These are stairs up a winding marble staircase. Front access to the house itself is up some steep stone stairs and then up more stairs from the entry hallway to the first floor. We really thought the place was beautiful but it would not be appropriate for anyone who would have a problem with the stairs.
Unusual and eclectic decor. Beautiful collections of personal items and large living spaces. Loved the deep claw foot tubs in the bathrooms. Fatiha, the housekeeper, was just wonderful to us. She kept our rooms spotless and tidy and provided a lovely breakfast each morning. The location was close to the Medina if you went out the back door. Best to avoid the front door as there were many steps leading up to the house.

United KingdomAccess to the hotel itself. The main access is off a narrow one way street via a steep stone staircase about 3 meters high, no ramp. Inside the door is another staircase to what would be classed as the ground floor - no lift. My room was on this floor. It had a single bed which doubled as a settee. No wardrobe or drawers. It had an en-suite shower room, nothing fancy but clean and everything worked. It had a rear exit on to a very narrow lane, not wide enough for vehicles. I was given a set of 4 keys to let myself into the building, not easy to work locks. The hotel is exactly where it is shown on Google maps but, it has no external sign. Anyone would not believe this was the access to a hotel. There are similar accesses to buildings on either side. Definitely not to be recommended to any person with a physical disability or any senior for that matter.
Ambience of the actual house, friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietor. Closeness to the old “Kasbar”
