Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff were very helpful in many ways. For example, during the stay I broke my foot and the staff collected me from the nearest taxi rank using a wheelchair which was beyond my expectations.

IrelandI liked everything. There was nothing to dislike only the fact we had to leave at end of our stay.
The ambience, the wonderful staff Gabriel and Ziati who made us so welcome and they looked after us so well. The pool and the peace on the roof top Terrace . The beautiful nooks and crannies and super breakfast. This is the perfect place to relax and reset and watch the world go by in a serene setting. The bedroom was super and we loved looking all the fabulous bits in the dining and sitting room. The Sale medina has some super spots and T the Moroccan people within the medina were so nice and helpful. I’ll definitely be back to stay at this beautiful Riad💙

IrelandIt is situated deep within the Medina and on arrival would never have found Riad on foot but easily solved- the ever-helpful Gabriel came to greet our taxi at entrance to Medina and walked us to Riad in mere minutes- so not a problem once Gabriel at hand!
Truly an absolute treasure trove located in middle of Medina Salé- was exactly as described by past traveller on holiday forum- staff couldn’t be more helpful (special mention of Gabriel)! I’ll certainly return & would not consider staying anywhere else but Riad Thamayna!

United KingdomWell the positioning of the hotel can be a bit off putting because it in the middle of the morrocan market streets , & people going might think it’s not safe ,but me and my son walked the streets of Rabat after 11pm at night and no one bothered you , everyone we spoke to was helpful & so polite .
The Riad Thamayna was so authentic & a real treat ,fabulous decor , the host went out of their way to make you looked after & nothing was to much trouble if your expecting , modern think again .. it’s traditional Moroccan !!.

United KingdomNothing abit noisy at night but your in the middle of the souk so to be expected
Everything I absolutely loved this Ryad. Staff were so accommodating, they brought me a huge breakfast on the terrace every morning. The room was nice and clean but the communal areas are amazing. Huge terrace to chill and see the whole of Rabat. Gabriel helped me find my way to the restaurants as the souk is outside the Ryad. Staff always smiling and could not do enough for me. I will remember my stay in the ryad for a long time

IrelandLoved Riad ,Thamayna it was beautiful sooooo Moroccon and decor was fabulous. Staff were just wonderful and helpful in every way, which made it an extra special place to stay with their kindness and hospitality. I have already recommended this Riad on a travel group I am in. I would recommend the airport pick up as its difficult to find being located in the Medina where all the streets meanadeaur and look the same . Staying here was a feast for your eyes, watching how people were at the market was wonderful. The tram into Rabat is only a few minutes walk away and very regular.too. Google maps got us home every evening to the Riad so recommend you have data roaming ! I would highly recommend here. Thank you

IrelandThe staff were excellent. Gabriel was brilliant and so helpful. It's a bit off the beaten track and a taxi can only get you 650m from the property. But, I highly recommend this riad. Book the bigger rooms where possible as they are quite small 😄

IrelandWe loved the interesting nooks and crannies in the building where you could read the many books and take time out. There were interesting features of art, and furniture, and the Moroccan architecture such as the coving and mosaics were beautifully done. The space was welcoming and quiet at all times where we felt at home. The staff were very helpful and friendly, Ziati and Gabriel and the ladies who worked in the Kitchen and in housekeeping. They made our experience very warm and welcoming by being available at all times, helping us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. They shared information about local sights and made arrangements for disability access for one of our family. They were truly sincere and genuine which was the same for the local people . We had a meal one night in the riad and the food was so good, the service was excellent, making a truly memorable experience. Thank you Ziati and Gabriel who are now our friends, and to the other staff members who looked after us so well in Salé.

Location this hotel was in the centre of medina in Sale. It was very nice place for lover of history. Personnel arranged for us transfer from airport to the hotel. Personnel was very kind, met all our wishes. The food served in the hotel was in traditional Moroccan style. Very delicious! It was very good experience in this hotel. Absolutely beautiful riad, nicely furnished, and lovely staff. Very warm welcome with Moroccan tea, followed by a guided tour of the riad by the charming and philosophical Gabriel. Great breakfast in a lovely dining room. Upon our departure Gabriel carried our luggage through the Medina back to the taxi and negotiated the price for the ride back to the airport with great success. A gem !

SpainIn the middle of the old Medina but easy enough to walk to the gates. The ambiance of the Riad was calm and quiet. Lots of lovely antiques everywhere. The staff were exceptional, helping with taxis and money exchange, even making us a tasty sandwich for our trip home! Nadia is the owner and she welcomed us as if we were family. We were happy to relax and read in the various common areas. We definitely want to plan on returning.

SpainThere is nothing not to like about this Riad.
This was our fourth time back at this Riad and we wouldn't book anywhere else for Rabat-Salé. There is a wonderful history to the place, not only in the building but in the decoration and the artifacts. Nadia is doing an amazing job with wonderful additions such as the new roof over the upper terrace, making it a fabulous place to relax for longer. Breakfast is always varied and plentiful, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There are lots of places to relax with a drink or to sit and read. Take a while to discover the history behind the room names or ask about the photographs around the rooms. A special place in our hearts, Riad Thamayna.

United KingdomI dont think we would change anything. Its location is in the medina of Sale. This is very local and authentic and a little different to some of the more visited areas of nearby Rabat. If youre the sort of traveller that enjoys a more sanitised, managed and touristed feel to your accomodation then you may be happier elsewhere. However, if you like to sample the culture and real daily life then you'll not be disappointed. I would recommend asking the staff to meet you on your inbound travel to help with navigation.
Riad Thamayna is a fantastic Riad with a period and antique feel. The manager was such a lovely helpful man who went out of his way to make us feel at home. The breakfast and dinner were all great. The Riad has many spaces that you can relax in from the roof terrace to the rooms off the internal coutyard. It also has a small pool with areas adjacent to relax in. Its a wonderful place with outstanding staff.

United KingdomVery hard to find, taxis satnav took us some way out and we had quite a trek. Luckily a local girl came to our rescue. Not in the best location, dirty alleyways to get there and right in the heart of the grubby Medina.
What a quirky and eccentric place this was!! The staff were so attentive and the breakfasts were excellent. The pool was small, hardly a swimming pool, but delightful to soak feet in at the end of a long day. A wonderful oasis in a bit so great location. Bottle of water in room and shampoo and shower gel an added bonus. We were even bought mint tea and biscuits when we were chilling by the pool. We were even helped with luggage to get to the tram for our onward journey on check out.
