🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was by far the most beautiful and extraordinary accommodation I’ve stayed at during my entire journey. The whole hostel is an experience in itself – absolutely unique and stunningly designed, unlike anything I’ve seen before. The lounge area is breathtakingly beautiful – warm, inviting, and full of character. Every detail of the space shows care, creativity, and soul. The owners and the people at the bar were incredibly friendly, full of good energy, and always up for a chat or a laugh. In the evenings, they created a wonderful atmosphere with cards, games, and great conversations. I felt completely welcome and part of the place. The beds were super soft and incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream. One of the most memorable moments was when the hosts invited us to join them, sit with them, and celebrate together. It felt like becoming part of a little family, even if just for a while. The location and view were simply exceptional – perfectly placed with quick and easy access to everything. Whether walking into town or just enjoying the scenery, it couldn’t have been better. I truly and deeply enjoyed every moment of my stay. Without a doubt, this was the best hostel of my entire trip. A magical place I’ll never forget.

Riad Verus is hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The moment you walk in, you’re transported into a magical world full of beautiful Moroccan architecture and traditional decoration, every corner feels special and full of character. We stayed in a private room, which was absolutely lovely, cozy, clean, and full of charm. The rooftop terrace is the perfect spot to start your day especially with the amazing breakfast they serve every morning and also to end at night with the cool breeze, and with a view over the old medina it doesn’t get better than that! The location is ideal if you want to truly experience Fes, right in the heart of the old Medina.

    - aggressive upselling - not very social

We had a wonderful time in Fes and really enjoyed our stay at Riad Verus. Our private room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning, which was much appreciated. The rooftop terrace was fantastic, offering stunning views, and we especially loved the refreshing lemonade and the generous breakfast - thank you! However, one part of our experience was less positive. Upon arrival, during check-in, we were immediately questioned about our desert tour plans. I had previously contacted the hostel regarding their tour, but the price quoted was higher than a tour recommended by a friend, so we opted for the more budget-friendly option. As student backpackers, cost is an important factor for us. We felt quite uncomfortable being strongly and aggressively encouraged to cancel our booking and request our €100 deposit back, to rebook with the hostel tour. That same energy continued when we were offered a walking tour at a relatively high price. When we asked about the possibility of sharing the cost with others at the hostel, we were discouraged from doing so and told it would be better to go alone - again, not quite the warm welcome we had hoped for. It meant that we avoided the reception area for the rest of our stay. Despite this, every other minute of our stay was excellent. They gave great information in advance via WhatsApp and email too. Special shout out to Naseem on the rooftop . He was warm, helpful, kind and funny!

    There was no hair dryer.

I was impressed by the smooth communication in English. When I mentioned that I had to leave early in the morning and wouldn’t be able to have breakfast, they kindly prepared a banana and an apple for me. The open and airy interior of the building had a unique and exotic atmosphere unlike anything I’ve seen before. I also felt a sense of connection when I found out that one of the staff members had lived in Canada.

Steep stairs (but it’s a free workout) and is to be expected for an authentic, historic building!

Beautiful aesthetic, well located and friendly, helpful staff. Stayed solo in twin bunk room with en-suite which was lovely. Mint tea or Moroccan lemonade was also provided in living/chill areas. Superb breakfast which can be enjoyed on rooftop.

The hospitality was amazing. They were so thoughtful with bringing you tea. There was a certain magic to this hostel with the velvet sofas, the lamps, my bed was on a little hidden loft area. The rooftop patio with cats. So lovely. My favourite part of Fes.

Got the airport transfer service through them cause I had to leave at 4am. Driver slept through his alarm and had to wake him up myself in the lobby.

I've stayed at many hostels recently and this one was the best. For its price as well, amazing value for money. Breakfast is amazing, rooftop is awesome with two levels, very nice furniture and designs throughout the building. Big fan of the built in beds, meaning the beds don't shake because the bed is built in with brick. Still so comfortable. Big and spacious shower and multiple windows for ventilation in the room. Shoutout to Naseem who was so friendly and served me about 8 free teas.

Lot of stairs for those who care, but that's a given in any Riad in Morocco. You could get a room on the ground floor to avoid the stairs

Had a great time at Riad Verus. It was me and my mom. She liked it too. Highlight is its decor and the terrace chill area with a location that is 5 min walk from the entrance of the medina (I appreciated that distance from the hussle lol). The full throttle breakfast was smashing👍🏻 Shout out to Naseem and Zakaria, welcoming and friendly. Always omni present in the building to help and offer Moroccan tea. If in doubt, this is a good place to stay without overthinking.

The bathrooms are pretty small and could use some renovations and in the evening the sound carries pretty far within the building so take some earplugs with you.

The place is very authentically Moroccan, and the staff is very friendly, especially the owner, who helped us with breakfast since we couldn't get it because we left too early. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom on the other side was very uncomfortable because it was too small, there was nowhere to put your things or hang a towel, and everything got wet when showering. There was a sewer-like smell. The location was good, and it was easy to get to with the directions given to us beforehand.

The guy from the breakfast was super nice! And the breakfast was super complete. It had everything: fruit, yogurt, egg, bread, juice, tea, coffee, cereal, etc Eventough the room was small and the sink was tiny, overall it was a great and comfortable place to sleep. The location was perfect

The design of the property was stunning. We had a private room, it was very spacious lovely design, big & comfortable bed. The room was quite warm though, but the staff helped us & brought us a fan to cool it down. The breakfast was very tasty, loads to choose from! The kittens in the place are adorable I wanted to take one home with me.

The bathroom had no ventilation and when you got out of the shower, if you left the window open, everyone in the foyer would see you. Bring ear plugs as all the rooms are along the staircase.

A lot of things were great about this riad. Location was a quiet part of town, but still safe. Breakfast was great. The rooftop was really cute, and a great hangout spot in the evenings. One of the staff, Naseem, especially was very helpful.

Beautiful hostel with attention to detail. It is a very big hostel with 4 floors and an amazing rooftop with 2 levels. 1 is closed off the windows (for the cold I suppose) and another level on top if you want to enjoy. There is some cute kittens and 2 turtles walking around. Staff is like you can't find in any hostel. Very attentive, friendly and all is possible. Zacharia helped me at the arrival, booked a last minute trip and even moved the luggage to the next room, thank you for that 😁 Amazing service! I booked the private room (amazing duvets) and the hostel gives you a lot of opportunity to hang out with the other travellers, but you also can just have some private time with a book as the property is so big ! * also the breakfast is aamaazing! Even 4* hotels in Morroco don't give this kind of breakfast. Definitely recommend 👌🏾
