How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful and cozy Riad. Clean and comfortable rooms. Mohammed was an excellent host. Took care of all our needs. Arranged a tour guide and also a person to transport our luggage from Riad to the car parking lot. Made us feel very comfortable. He was there whenever we needed him. Very responsive and helpful. Guided us to the local attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work.
Nearest car parking lot is about 7 to 10 min walk.

Verified reviewWe really liked the kindness of the owner and the amazing breakfast - they were kind to us as we woke up very late one day, after breakfast time, and still they served us. The owner is a musicien and hé brought us to his music shop where we discovered further instruments cultures we didnt know about. Je also served us lots of tea and printed our flight tuckets - really kind gesture.

Verified reviewFrom the traditional welcome tea , the whole experience of staying in an old beautifully decorated and built riad in the heart of the medina was wonderful. The breakfast was generous and served quickly in a timely manner and atmosphere. The manaher Abu Mohammed Ayub was very helpful and kind at assisting me with any questions or needs I had such as doing a load of laundry, directions to the tannery and asking if the room I was first shown was ok. Abu Mohammed Ayub also came to meet me at a car park to assist me in finding the riad.
Nothing. The riad is in an excellent area of the medina and parking is not too far away. Quiet at night and air conditioner and all other items in room worked well.

Verified reviewGood location and good laundry deal. The host wants the best for his guests, and was helpful in picking us up from the parking. Parking is close by and is good price for the night. In the centre of the Medina
Difficult to find on your own. Could have been cleaner.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Riad Tarab. Mohamed and the staff were super friendly and helpful, we felt very at home. The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and quiet. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the balcony. This is also a great hotel for music lovers - there are many instruments in the living room and Mohamed owns a music shop. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you again :)

Verified reviewThe hosts were wonderful. The women in the kitchen went out if their way to accommodate our breakfast times which were early due to tours and trains. Our host even changed our room for the second night so my wife and I in our 70!s didn’t have to go up flights of stairs. The staff were all about making the whole Moroccan experience so meaningful and memorable
Ask in advance for a lower level room if you have physical issues with stairs. They accommodated us perfectly

Verified reviewThe ryad is very well located ti explore the Medina and the jewish neighbourhood. We loved the room (quite large for 2 adults and 2 kids, good beds, clean), the hall and the terrase. It was the perfect place to relax after a whole day exploring Fes and the surroundings. The staff made the stay perfect (information, booking of other activities, transfer from to the airport, breakfast, tea…). The owner went the extra mile to help us every time we need it.
Nothing important. You can’t buy cold drinks or keep them cold, but there are plenty of places just around the corner.

Verified reviewThe property is really well located, on a quiet street. On the first time it can be hard to find. The host was really helpful, they even put us the breakfast to go when we had to leave ealry
The bathroom was pretty bad, the walls were full of mould. Beside this, all furniture were a bit outdated and needed some reconditioning.

Verified reviewBeautiful riad in the heart of the Medina! The location is perfect, a 5 minutes walk to the blue gate and very close to one of the two main streets. The riad itself is beautiful, the room is spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Mohamed was very welcoming and made us feel like at home. He even prepared us a take away breakfast the last day as we were leaving very early in the morning. Thank you for an amazing stay!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

Verified reviewBeautiful, traditional riad in the middle of the medina, with a terrace where a very good breakfast is served. We were greeted with mint tea which was very nice, payment did not have to be made immediately, it was possible to pay by card. The entire service was very helpful, in the middle of the night the owner took us to the airport, printed our boarding passes and solved every, even the smallest problem. There is no problem with heating or water
Nothing

Verified reviewThe location is perfect. It is close enough to two of the Medina exits, yet it was right in the middle of it all. The staff were exceptional! Especially Nadia who was taking care of breakfasts and housekeeping, along with another lovely lady. Zacharah, the manager, was super accommodating and helpful.
It was clean and comfortable but maybe a bit old. As with all Dars and Riads, it could be noisy at times. But it was quiet when it was most needed after10 or 11pm
