Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe alleyway was not clean, cat feces. Also they do not accept from Booking.com. I had to go to another their Raid which was a 10 minute walk to pay for my stay, however the owner did give me a 10% discount for my troubles. Also the cabs do not go into the location. You have to drag your luggage for at least a 15 minute walk to get to the main street for transportation. The rooftop could’ve been a better comfort feel it’s not exactly somewhere you just wanna hang out at once you come back. This is where they wash and they hang the clothes, bedsheets, etc..
Good location once you get out of Medina to the streets to find a cab.

CanadaThe staff was nice and polite, and sent us recommendations in Rabat. Very good and healthy breakfast in the morning. Located within the Medina, close to many places and walkable to Rabat Ville station. Riad is smaller than others but very clean.

FinlandNote that it is in the old market, so you cannot take a taxi up there. You have to carry your luggage about 500 m. The street is super dirty and you do not feel that safe (it is safe, but you will feel differently on the first day).
The host is wonderful, very friendly and caring. The location is exactly in the middle of the Bazaar which is nice. The breakfast is in the standard level compared to other hotels in Morocco.

Beautiful and super welcoming, right in the heart of the medina and very close to all services. The rooms are spotless, and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. We left a piece of our heart in this place—so many beautiful emotions and so much affection. You’ll also have the pleasure of meeting Mimì, the Riad’s cat, who will make you laugh and warm your soul. The breakfast was delicious and truly satisfying. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS, BROTHERS OF RIAD SOUIKA! WE’LL SEE YOU SOON. WE LOVE YOU. A big hug from Sicily. ❤️

ItalyAs is common with traditional riads, the room and bathroom windows open onto the interior courtyard, which can limit air circulation. It’s part of the local architectural charm — just something to be aware of in advance.
ucked away on a quiet side street right inside Rabat’s central market, this riad is a true gem. Despite being in the heart of the action, it’s remarkably peaceful — an oasis of calm just steps from the vibrant souk. The decor and design are beautifully curated, with every detail reflecting authentic Moroccan style. Out of all the places I stayed during my trip to Morocco, this was by far the most memorable. The rooms are spacious, and the homemade breakfast served on the rooftop terrace is the perfect start to the day. Highly recommended.

Czech RepublicThe bed wasn't comfortable and it was very squeaky with every movement. We woke up in the middle of the night just from trying to roll over.
Riad is in the middle of medina, so you get to explore the local markets only a few footsteps from your room. It's the best possible location if you want to enjoy it as a tourist. The Riad offered a very good breakfast served on the rooftop terrace of the building. The room was clean, bathroom was okay. There was a missing hairdryer but it was quickly provided when we asked the staff. Communication with the staff was without any issue, if you needed anything, we could just message him on WhatsApp.

IrelandThere isn’t a 24hour manned front desk or reception area as such, so sometimes there was loud banging on the front door of guests wanting to come in especially late at night. Being two female travellers we did not want to come out of our room to open the door to strangers. If you do need something of course the staff are just a WhatsApp message away which is very helpful but we did have to go to a hotel 10mins away in order to print boarding passes which was a requirement from Ryanair as there are no ‘reception’ facilities (which can be expected with a Riad) Not a negative just a heads up! 😊
Ziad you were so helpful all the time thank you so much! Gorgeous traditional Riad, interior was always so clean, housekeeping in rooms everyday and lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast each morning. Great selection of bread, pancakes, fruit and eggs as well as tea & coffee for breakfast served at a great time! The staff organised gorgeous cake for my mummy’s birthday celebration complete with candles, thank you so much for this wonderful touch! Right in the centre of the medina so brilliantly situated in the heart of the hustle and bustle but on such a quiet street. Value for money & quality of stay was great! Free tea & coffee in the communal lounge area.

The Riad is fabulous, clean and very well decorated. The room was comfortable and the terrace was very nice. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the owner’s attention to our experience and his genuine kindness. The location is perfect because it’s in the Medina but also close to the gates from which you can reach Rabat’s top attractions. Totally recommended.

RussiaWell, it was really unusual for us that there was no door to our bathroom/toilet :)))
We stayed at Dar Souika for two nights, March 19-21, 2025 and liked it very much. We're very thankful to Ziad for his smiles, friendliness and welcoming atmosphere he created for us. It was our very first African experience, coming to Morocco and it was very important to feel accepted. Wonderful breakfast on the rooftop and talking to our neighbours made our stay so pleasant! Both Ziad and Hamsa were ready to meet our needs. Oh, what else made us happy is packed breakfast on our leaving early in the morning :))) Thanks to Ziad for that and also for helping out with the directions to the sights.

The location is great, in medina near one of the main gates. The staff was helpful. It's pretty. The beds are comfortable since we like firm beds. The bedding and towels were clean. Shower was nice and hot. The hair dryer worked very well. Quet at night. It provided nice breakfast.

FranceEverything was perfect... hoping to return!
This was our second stay at Riad Dar Souika, which says a lot! So nice to be welcomed again by our friend and host, Mohamed. This beautifully-decorated riad is a pleasure to stay in. Although it is in a small street just off the main medina, we always found it quiet at night. Breakfast on the terrace here is amazing: plenty of assorted fruits, freshly-baked pancakes and cakes, fresh orange juice, eggs, yoghurt, cheese, home-made jams and tea or coffee - I'm getting hungry again as I write this :-) Thank you so much to Mohamed, Yassin, and the housekeeper for making our stay so pleasant. Without hesitation, I recommend Riad Dar Souika 100%
