How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe Riad is the most gorgeous facility I have ever seen. And the staff are extremely personable and seek to make your stay the most comfortable and to your individual tastes. Breakfast is also included!
The only struggle I had was the strict rule to be back in the Riad by midnight… but staff were kind enough to excuse my lateness both nights!

Verified reviewRiad Sidrat Fes delivered an unforgettable experience, its stunning traditional design, peaceful courtyard, and perfect Medina location made our stay truly special. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, but what stood out most was the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Maryam and her wonderful team, Karama, Nozhah, and Si Mohammed for their warmth, care, and attention to every detail. They made us feel instantly at home and turned our visit into a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fes!

Verified reviewGood location and the Riad is really well maintained. Everything clean and hospitality top class. Our hosts Mohammed and Benyahya were so welcoming and helpful with recommendations and tips to keep safe in the medina. Benyahya even brought us to get laundry done locally and without his help our stay wouldn’t have been as good as it was, so highly recommend Riad Sidrat when you’re coming to Fes.

Verified reviewThe service Mohamed provided was out of this world, very nice personel very friendly owner and his wife. I've booked smaller room but they offered me a bigger one in the same price, as they didn't have much guests at that time, that was very kind and unexpected surprise. Room was very comfortable and clean, they provided everything: toilet paper, towels, shampoo, shower gel and even the hairdryer. Mohamed was very friendly and gave me a lot of worthy tips, of course he offered an awesome tea at the beginning, recommend where to eat and what to see. He offered his help with printing my board pass when I didn't even know that would be needed. Breakfast was served very quickly and it was amazing and very varied. Location is very good if you want to see whole Medina, this is the right place. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewWe were struggling for a place to stay in Fes and came upon Riad Sidrat Fes and what luck! It turned out to be the perfect place. The location was right in the middle of the old town and is close to all the attractions. The accommodating manager Meryem and her team were exceptional and incredibly considerate to all our needs. They checked with us regularly to see if we needed insights to the best spots, told us what to avoid, offered tea and snacks and helped with printing tickets and booking a taxi. The rooms were beautiful, clean and cool which made them perfect to come back to after a long hot day. A wonderful stay and I would highly recommend.

Verified reviewRiad Sidrat Fes is a truly beautiful building that we felt very lucky to have found for our stay in Fes. Meriem and her staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfortable and full of character. The location in the heart of the medina couldn’t be better allowing us to pop in and out as often as we liked. We particularly loved the wonderful breakfasts served in the one of the inner courtyards of the building. The lovely roof terrace was a bonus. All in all I couldn’t recommend Riad Sidrat Fes highly enough.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful time at Riad Sidrat Fes. Everyone was extremely kind, friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Miriam and both Mohammeds, they really made our trip so wonderful. One of our travel companions was unwell and they went out of their way to take us to the doctor, translated for us and helped us find alternative activities to do as we extended our stay a day longer. The Riad was STUNNING.
The breakfast was delicious, but no other meals were available due to the chef being on leave. The WiFi did not work in the bedrooms upstairs, and the lighting in the bedrooms was dim. However, these things were minor as our stay was amazing.

Verified reviewI loved the interior patio, beautiful. The architecture. The staff. So amazing. Mohamed was an amazing receptionist and helped me with EVERYTHING I needed. He took care of me like a brother and I appreciate that so much. A big blessing to stay here and get closer to God in the city of Fez. 10/10 recommendation. A million stars. Phenomenal.
