Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesWalking back to the Riad at night alone was a little nerve wracking and confusing. I just dropped a pin location on my phone and followed that but I still managed to take the wrong turn 😅
Arriving at Riad Senja at night was mysterious, my first experience staying at a Riad in Morocco so I didn’t know to expect to be entering a rabbit warren to find it, happily, I was picked up from the airport by their transport team and greeted at the other end by Lahci, who took my suitcase and guided me the 2 minute walk to the Riad. The place is so quaint, so quiet and so full of character! I immediately loved it. Salma and Lahci were so helpful the whole time. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the rooftop was a private zen where I enjoyed breakfast and some morning sun. I would recommend this Riad to anyone looking for a very conveniently central stay but tucked away from the crowds and bustle of the Souks.

IrelandThat our stay wasn't longer!
We had an amazing stay at Riad Senja to kick off our honeymoon. Our room was fantastic (Senja Suite) and beautifully decorated. What made our stay was how lovely the staff was and the delicious breakfasts. The area is very convenient yet tucked away and quiet. Would definitely recommend to book your stay here.

PortugalThat said, there were two things worth mentioning. Unfortunately, there was a nearby restaurant or riad that played very loud music until late at night, which made it impossible to enjoy the Riad’s lovely terrace after a long day walking around the souks. It’s a real shame, as the space is ideal for relaxing. While this is obviously beyond the Riad’s control, the music could even be heard from the rooms. Also, the room I stayed in had a strong smell of damp or mould, which I believe could be easily resolved with a dehumidifier.
The Riad is absolutely beautiful, with charming decor and a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s perfectly located close to everything yet peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and served with great care.

Riad Senja is an absolute stunning place, the design and facilities are memorable and the experience couldn’t have been better. We stayed for 3 nights and our experience was exceptional. Super cosy small riad, the staff always available and extremely nice, the facilities super comfortable and the breakfast in the rooftop is to die for. We would definitely go back and spend more time there.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything to not like.
The property is in a great location. Close to all amenities and sites, but at the same time nicely tucked in away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city and tourists. The property has a lovely cosy and tasteful decor, that’s pleasing to the eye and the terrace was lovely to catch some morning sun during breakfast, accompanied by song birds, and later in the day enjoy the evening/ night sky. The Riad was always very clean and you can see the staff take pride in their work. The staff were wonderful! Very professional and always very willing to help. Always met with smiles. Our breakfasts every morning were prepared with love and care, and always very tasty. I will in particular miss the Amlou with my msemmen and baghrir. I will miss Riad Senja. Good, warm memories. Very big thank you.

PortugalNothing, everything was perfect!
We spent a wonderful week in this Riad. The beautiful interior and especially the kind staff made our accommodation a familiar home in the vibrant Marrakech. From day one it felt like its own tranquil cosmos you could easily step back into whenever you wanted to settle down from rush of the fun, bustling Medina. The newly-furnished Riad allowed us to cool down thanks to its inside structure, traditional with a water basin, and to rest our eyes on the pretty tiles and home library of calligraphy and photo books. At any point of the day, the rooftop gave us a stunning view of Marrakech all around with the Atlas mountains in the background, all while enjoying the comforts of "our home" with 24h service at hand. Every morning we enjoyed this panorama with the breakfast prepared by the talented and warm chef Fatma. Chief hostess Salma was a great and kind help to us before and during our stay; she welcomed us with her insight and assistance at any time. Staff member Mohcine further amplified our pleasant experience with his calm and kind demeanor; at any point he would be available to us, all while giving us a great sense of privacy with his aware but discrete fashion. Staff member Lahcen's warm and instrumental character gave us not only great service that went above and beyond, but, through his true kindness, also left us with a sense of familiarity, which greatly contributed to our feeling of the Riad being not just a nice accommodation but our home in Marrakech. We are already looking forward to come back here in the future. Laura and Sebastian

Brilliantly located in the Medina, don’t worry about your suitcase on the cobblestones they will help you with that. Charles is incredible working so hard to help you with anything you need. I landed earlier than expected and he had someone waiting to pick me up from the airport even then. As a women traveling on her own I felt so safe and supported staying at Riad Senja. AustriaFrom the moment we set foot into Riad Senja we were taken extremely good care of by Charles and his team. From the breakfast prepared - like the other meals - by cook Sabah - to Salma who got in touch with us before our arrival, arranged for the transfer, assisted - always with a genuine smile - around breakfast and helped us with bookings and not to forget Moahsin, the friendly young gentleman who taught me to pour the tea Moroccan-style. Charles visibly put a lot of effort into beautifully renovating the Riad, turning it into a gem which is a pleasure to look at and to enjoy for a couple of days. He and his team were always there to assist in a super genuine, likeable way! The location is nothing short of perfect, 20 minutes for the airport, 5 minutes by foot from the Souks, 5 minutes from central Jamaa el-fan square, 10 minutes by taxi from the Yves Saint Laurenz museum, all must-see spots are very close. Breakfast is served every morning on the beautiful rooftop terrace and includes freshly squeezed orange juice, mixed fruits, homemade bread, a selection of sweet and salty spreads and eggs. The rooms are beautifully decorated as well, the bed was very comfortable and the blackout-curtains ensured we got a good night’s sleep even after the first call of the Muezzin. Spend your stay in Marrakech here and you won’t be disappointed!
