Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe were given a room near the kitchen, it was quite disturbing in the morning! We were aware of it as it showed on the booking so we were prepared. Also, the door is kinda loose, so it doesn’t lock well, which means no sound proofing at all. Keep an eye out on city tax collection, as I had one of the guy collecting a lil more than what he should.. Rest all was amazing👌🏻
The location is amazing. Right outside the lane you have you have everything sorted! Clean and great breakfast.. amenities provided in toilet! Spacious… Hot water running well! 👌🏻 And the staff gets 10/10 rating!

United KingdomToiletries are just shower gel and shampoo, so bring soap for the sink. Building work next door starts at 8, but not a problem as you are up for a day of sightseeing
Good central location, although at the end of a long dark alleyway, staff very welcoming, friendly and so very helpful with a nothing is too much trouble work ethic. Beds comfy and nice warm shower. Breakfast was nice with omlete, various breads, fresh orange juice and hot drink which can be taken inside or on the lovely rooftop. Aircon unit also provides heat for chilly evenings and free safe was a bonus. Good communication from hotel ahead of arrival. Use google maps and not maps on iPhone for true location for riad Linda

ItalyThis is not up to them but you need to know that the streets in the Medina are quite narrow and you feel like you're in a labyrinth. So if it's your first time in Marrakesh and you arrive with a late flight it can get quite scary to reach the B&B at night.
Location is great, it's litterally 5 minutes by walk from Marrakech main square. The riad is a lovely family run B&B, the rooms are nice and clean and the staff is nice. We appreciated that the guy at the reception is always on site h24, which kinda makes you feel safer when you travel abroad. The breakfast is also very nice we stayed on February but it was warm enough to have it in the cute terrace.

United KingdomThe noise from one guest in particular travelled to our room, but it wasn’t a major inconvenience.
Riad Linda is in a convenient location. We had a lovely room with roof terrace access; it was very clean; and breakfast was nice. We noticed the atmosphere among the staff was lovely and friendly, and they offered us advice and answered our questions.

United StatesSince it's an older building, some areas could use improvement, i.e. doors/windows not soundproof (heard prayer alarms from mosque everyday at 6am), shower & faucet could be tricky, room smelled musty if windows weren't left open, etc.
Cute riad in an old building for a great price in the heart of Jemaa el-Fnaa, hidden off some quiet side streets. Friendly staff with an English-speaking manager, and expat-owners who are on site to answer any travel questions. Our room on the upper floor was cozy with a comfortable bed, and the terrace was a nice place to rest and have breakfast.

AustraliaWe have the room in the ground floor, next to the breakfast area so it was a bit noisy. But the rest was all good!
The hotel is really nice, the location is perfect. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast was good, fresh and with variety of food I need to mention that the owner helped us with a problem with have with our tour, if he wasn’t there we would have lost our excursion. So thanks a lot to him!

United KingdomPhotos give the impression of bright and airy rooms when in fact, they are quite dark and enclosed. The bed in our room was crammed in and difficult to manoeuvre around. Our room was located on the ground floor and was.right beside reception, breakfast area and the kitchen. This meant there was no privacy and no chance of sleeping past 8 when breakfast service started. The staff kindly moved us to a room on the first floor at our request. The riad is a little tired looking and lacks atmosphere - a little like being in a library. Unfortunately during our stay there was extensive building work going on in 2 adjacent buildings which reverberated throughout the riad (particularly loud on the roof terrace). I understand that this is not the fault of the riad but a heads up would have been nice - there was no chance of relaxing. Also note that tourist tax is €3 per person per day, not €2.50 like it says on booking.com.
Location is great - minutes away from Jemaa al fna but away from the hustle and bustle.

HungaryNothing significant! There could be more power plugs to charge devices - I know this is an old riad and we absolutely managed with what was available, but be aware. If you have a car, do not try to navigate to the hotel - some apps may try to do that, but it is just impossible. We lost quite some time learning this… use one of the inexpensive parking lots around Jemaa el-Fnaa and walk to the hotel.
Perfect location to explore the Medina, all sights are within easy walking distance. Helpful and very kind staff, good breakfast, clean room. The whole place has a very authentic riad atmosphere, highly recommended.

North MacedoniaOne particular moment that shocked us at first sight was the fact that you could hardly find the Riad (and majority of all the riads) by yourself, i.e. if not guided by the people who transport the luggage with 'ricksha' (paid service). The shock was actually the trajectory which leads through a total crowd, and then immediately the 'driver' turns in a small/narrow totally quiet street. We were passing through this narrow street for about 10 minutes until we reached the riad deep in the medina labyrinth, but surely felt fully insecure (despite knowing that Marrakech is considered quite safe). The days after was fully fine from this aspect and once shown, the Riad could be easily found again. Moreover, riad is not a hotel and visitors are advised to familiarize with the concept of riad before booking, and avoid it in case they strongly prefer a hotel. If not, the riad experience is rather unique and fantastic!
The Riad and its hosts are great, in every aspect. The location is in the lower part of the Marrakech Medina, which means that most of the sightseeing spots are accessible by walking, which for us was important because we felt Marrakech that way. The breakfast is truly Moroccan and the lady serving too kind. Internet was superb. It is definitely a value for money.
