Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomProperty was excellent but a bit of a walk from the main square. But hey, look on the bright side it’s great for your step count 😎
A true Marrakech experience… Located down a warren of narrow alleyways in the heart of the Medina (old city) this is not a location if you are looking for glitz and luxury. If on the other hand you are seeking to experience Moroccan hospitality with cleanliness, friendly staff and a peaceful sanctuary to relax after a hard day of haggling in the bazaars and markets, look no further…

United KingdomGood location and easy to get to a lot of attractions and the markets. We love the people of Marrakech and also the friendly staff at Riad Les Dunes and Spa. We love our hammam scrub and massage. I was surprised just how much old skin came of my body. But we feel amazing and ready for life! See you again soon.

United KingdomMarrakech is a strange and charming experience at the same time. The days spent at the are proof of this. When we arrived at our destination, we never imagined that behind that small door there was our Riad, perhaps for the expectations we had received from the photos, not denied once we crossed the threshold. The property is close to the center but in a very quiet side street. City life starts around 10am and ends very late so walking in back streets is not dangerous either. At the Riad we were greeted with great friendliness and traditional tea. The rooms are basic, the cleaning is daily and accurate. Breakfast: mostly sweet and composed of traditional products is quite substantial and served directly at the table on their terrace. In the evening we found it particularly relaxing to lay on the sun loungers on the terrace while sipping mint tea served with traditional sweets (paid service) , we would like to thank abdeljalil and all the staff for their care

United KingdomThe room didn’t feel very private as the doors and windows were shutters with a lock and bolt and you could hear everything going on inside the Riad. The room was small and little space to relax. Very basic! The staff were quite pushy with trying to encourage us to book an excursion with them upon arrival even after we explained that we had a planned itenery for our stay… We also paid for the traditional Hammam experience which was really expensive for what we got! The room for the Hammam was very cold and not relaxing at all - would not recommend !!!
It was nice to experience a traditional Riad located in the backstreets of Marrakesh. The rooftop was a lovely spot for breakfast.

FinlandOverall, my stay at Riad Les Dunes left me feeling scammed and misled. Here is why. I was traveling with my partner (double room) and a friend (separate double room). In the pictures of the hotel, rooms look fairly spacious and pleasant. However, upon arrival we were up for a nasty surprise. Me and my partner were given a small basement room with barely any light. While the hotel claims that “units are fitted with a wardrobe”, our room was too small to fit anything of the sort. Indeed, it was so small that our luggage could barely fit on the floor. I immediately told the staff that the room was too small and barely had a window, to which the staff representative responded by gaslighting me. He claimed that riads rarely have proper windows (not true, I have stayed in several similarly priced riads in Marrakech, all with proper windows) and that the room was totally normal. Later that night there was a blackout, which left us in pitch darkness for several hours. This is of course not the fault of the hotel, but I can’t help but think that they’ve fitted a small building with too many rooms, which in turn leads to the power being overloaded. Meanwhile, our friend was given a room that was normal-sized but lacked windows altogether! She only stayed for a night so she didn’t make a fuzz. After complaining again, me and my partner were finally given a decent room the next day. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. When we ordered a cab on the day of our departure, the hotel said they would take care of it. That’s all and well. However, once we arrived in the lobby with our luggage, it turned out that the hotel hadn’t ordered a regular cab at all, but their own driver. That would’ve been fine, had they not insisted that the ride would cost us 220 dirham! According to several *recent* threads on TripAdvisor and Reddit, the price should be around 140-150 dirham. At that point I felt too enraged to pick another fight with the staff, so we let it slide.
The breakfast is a standard riad breakfast with some sweet and savory pastries, jam, and an egg. The location is okay but at the edge of the medina and the streets around the hotel don't feel very safe. The staff was friendly, but given the bad experience with the room (see below) I felt distrustful towards them.
