Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom- No sauna (despite being advertised) - Very small and uncomfortable bathroom - Not comfy mattress - Too noisy - Breakfast served too late. We were told breakfast starts at 9:00. First day serving started at 9:40, we had booked a tour at 10:00 so didn't have proper breakfast (only 10 minutes available) and were late for our tour too. Second day, we left at 7:00 so didn't get any breakfast. Quality seemed to be good though.
- Excellent location - Helpful staff - Nice terrace

ItalyNo sun on the roof terrace so in the morning we couldn't have breakfast there (it was December).
The owner was very nice and offered us tea upon arrival. The room was nice and we got a heater for the night since the temperatures in December are lower. Central location!

AustraliaI got the ground floor double room which offers little privacy as I can hear people talking outside, and I’m sure they could hear me too on the phone. But I’ve found that most riads don’t have good soundproofing. The toilet lid doesn’t stay up so you have to hold it up when you sit on it. There also isn’t a sauna in the room as advertised. Other than that, the riad is great value for money and centrally located — all in all, a good stay.
There was a little misunderstanding at the beginning of the check in but the hosts are very nice people. The riad is located off the Main Street from the blue gate and the entrance is across from the Le Tabouche cafe. If this is your first time in Fes, note that you will be dropped off outside the gate if coming by taxi. The walk into the medina can feel a little rough.

New ZealandThe door lock on our downstairs room was a bit difficult to master but we did appreciate the downstairs room as we travelled with heavy luggage and therefore we didn’t have to lug it up and down stairs!
The location was spot on as only 5-10 mins walk from the Blue Gate and easy to walk to the old ruins too. Lovely old style Riad with a rooftop area guests could use. Nice breakfast but quite bread based for someone who likes fresh fruit! The housekeeper does a lovely job of keeping everything clean and Halid the host was very helpful in arranging an early morning taxi to get us to the airport.

The place is comfortable and very cozy. The family that runs is is extremely nice and welcoming. We had dinner there and the mother of the manager cooked for us the best tajine we had in our whole Moroccan trip. Location is amazing - super central - and not noisy.

CroatiaWifi signal in the room on the terrace was weak and location on the google maps was incorrect so we had some troubles finding it (look for Le Tarbouche restaurant, the alley entrance is on the opposite side of the restaurant). Also, water in the shower was either cold or extremely hot.
Great location with a really nice rooftop. Very kind and friendly staff.

CanadaMore Air Conditioning.
Breakfast was nice and host was super friendly. No air conditioning or not on at the time so even though 'winter' was hot for us. Hard to find at first but they had someone greet us at the main gate when we arrived. Shower was not amazing, hot water was good but shower head and water got everywhere.

United KingdomUnfortinately the shower in my room was broken, the manager checked this in the morning, and Im sure by now it will have been fixed. Due to the position of the toilet - in a very tight space, I found it difficult to use, however, I guess originally Raids never had toilets in each room :-)
This is a nice Riad in a great location - just off the main Medina street, and close to the main parking area - just to the west of the Medina, which makes it very convienent if you have a rental car. Breakfast was OK, the manager was very helpful and friendly. I was offered dinner ( 150 D) however as I was the only guest, I decided to visit one of the very numerous eateries in the main street instead, so cannot comment on the evening meal. It is nicely decorated, my room was great.

SpainOur room was in the basement floor, close to the living room and sometimes was noisy…. For us it was not a big problem because we woke up early everyday but sleeping longer than 09:00 would have been complicated. Anyway we are very happy with the riad Lala Drissia si we advice it at 100%
Khalid (manager) has been really kind and friendly. Every day once we arrived to the riad, We had a good talk with him and it was very nice. The breakfast has been amazing the 6 days of our stay. One day we had to leave really early and we got it to take away and was also very good. Towels were changed and room cleaned every day. The location is really good: very close to one of main streets, to the blue gate (main entrance to the medina) and to restaurants, shops….

United StatesIt’s a bit hard to find, but I like how quiet it is there.
The staff were very kind and accommodating. I stayed here just for a night before I had to run off for orientation for class the next morning. Even though I didn’t have a lot of time to eat, they made me a fantastic breakfast and allowed me to leave my bags until I could check into student housing later that next day. It’s in a quieter part of the medina, so I was able to get a good night’s rest while there.

SpainThe bed was very hard. We were told all were like this by the owner but we have stayed in others with a much more comfortable mattress. The wifi is very bad and if you are in the room in the terrace, you don't get any signal. If you request the pickup from the airport, which is quite expensive but that is ok (200 dirhams), remember they should take you for that price to the riad. The taxi driver did not take us there and he left us with someone that grabbed our luggage without saying anything and took us there through the Medina. When we arrived, he wanted us to pay him. We said no and the owner of the riad paid him and said he would charge us for that. He did not because we had to show him the message he sent us where clearly said we did not have to pay anything extra. They do not accept card.
The breakfast is good. It has a nice terrace. The location is not bad, since it is in the Medina but not in the deep part and is not dangerous at early night. But I would not recommend going any further than where the riad is.

ThailandSadly my room was next to reception and the dining area so was very noisy early in the morning and at night so I couldn't rest. Also the front door was normally locked and I did not have an entry key so I was often stranded outside.
Great location inside the walled medina but difficult to find. Wonderful breakfast that changed each day and was nicely presented using local cuisine. This riad was small and intimate but comfortable in this price range.

United KingdomWe stayed for three days and all that time we did not have a hot water in the shower. Even after reporting this issue to the host. For us it wasn't a problem as it was 37C outside. In the description hotel offers Free Airport Shuttle Bus. We organised it via booking.com chat but at the end it was a paid taxi service. Clarification of that service in the hotel description should be provided.
Good location just walking distance from all attractions. Rooms are decorated in the Moroccan style and there is roof tarace where you can have a caffe or tea. All the rooms were very clean.
