How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewFrom arrival, Tarek, Nourelhouda and staff could not have done more to make us feel at home. The Riad is beautiful in every way and the rooms are unique and characterful. Riad Jnane Ines is the perfect place to escape from the outside world :)

Verified reviewPositive Points: - The location is beautiful, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. - The staff was helpful and responsive when we encountered issues, such as with the air conditioning. - The massage we booked was very relaxing and of good quality.
Areas for Improvement: - The air conditioning in our first room was not working. After reporting this, we were moved to another room where the air conditioning functioned, but it leaked. - The shower did not work the first evening, but was operational the following morning. - While we thoroughly enjoyed the massage itself, we encountered a miscommunication regarding the price. The owner, whose English proficiency was limited (and our French), stated the price as 'eighteen.' We clarified by repeating 'eight-teen,' and he confirmed this amount. Based on this confirmation, we proceeded with the service. Later, we were informed that the actual price was eighty euros (same amount as the price per night). We understand that misunderstandings can occur, but clearer communication from the outset would have helped prevent this situation. While we understand that misunderstandings can occur, clearer communication regarding such matters is essential to prevent similar situations in the future." Considering the price per night, we were somewhat disappointed. While we understand that prices can vary, the value did not align with our expectations based on the rate. The combination of recurring issues with facilities, such as the air conditioning and shower, along with the owner's miscommunication regarding pricing, led us to assign a lower rating than we had initially intended.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for one night to relax in the middle of our road trip. If you have more time and want to unwind, you could easily stay longer. Everything was perfect: the room was clean, spacious, and beautifully styled, and we really liked the overall design of the entire area. The swimming pool and the surroundings were very nice as well. We also loved seeing the riad’s animals — there were horses, chickens, ducks and a dog. Breakfast was good. Based on other reviews, we decided not to have dinner here, so we can’t comment on that. The medina is about 15 minutes away by car. The staff was incredibly friendly — we were welcomed with tea and a little snack. The location was a bit tricky to find at first, but with the signs along the way - it was manageable.
The only small thing we would improve is the pillows — they were a bit too hard for our taste.

Everything just didn't seem quite right. Furniture etc tired, very cold, no warm area to sit for dinner, wet towels supplied, door lock got stuck, had to leave via our terrace to exit in the morning of our departure. Very poor value for the evening meal at 250Dm per person, which was probably the worst value meal we had in 9 days in Morocco.

Verified reviewEverything was lovely. Excellent staff, beautiful riad, good food with generous portions. We asked for a mixed omelette for breakfast and were served the most delicious Moroccan omelette of our whole two week stay in Morocco. We got lost en route so rang the hotel and the owner sent someone to meet us and lead us to the riad. Our suite was lovely and spacious and the large bed very comfortable. Pool looked inviting but a little cold for us.

Verified reviewThe property itself is beautifully restored and decorated. Rooms was very nice and staff is friendly- they lit a fire for us in the room when it got a bit chilly at night. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.
Shower in our room could have done with a bit of attention- was a little difficult to operate properly.

Verified reviewWe had a really pleasant stay in Riad Jnane Ines. It is about a 15 minute drive to Taroudant, which is fine. You enter the riad and find yourself in a quiet oasis with really friendly staff and good food.
The first morning we didn't have a lot of water pressure in the shower, but the second morning it was fine. So this might happen, but not a big problem
