Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

An amazing Riad - perfect location (2mins walk into the Medina but quiet and relaxing - perfect combination!). On top of that the breakfast was great and we had a lovely time. Thank you Jean Claude!

PolandTwin Room on the First Floor March 2025. The Riad on the edge of the Medina is not very large, for perhaps only 10(?) people in several separate and functional rooms with comfortable bathrooms (with a small dressing room) and small charming bedrooms. These "guest rooms" are located in the two-story main building with a large palatial living room, open to the garden and for guests' use (next to it a small kitchen) and in two separate ground-floor pavilions in a beautiful garden with a small, colorfully illuminated swimming pool (by it are some sun loungers). Each of the elements of the architecture, buildings, garden and equipment of the Riad is extraordinary in terms of beauty, originality, style, quality, functionality, solidity and condition - from planning, selection, composition, layout, maintenance and cleanliness. Birds singing in the garden all day long, there is sun and shade and smells and all the colors of Africa. There are also representatives of fauna:) a white cat trying to avoid being petted to death by guests and a small dog jealous of the guests' attention. Perfect cleanliness. Breakfasts dreamt of in composition and quality prepared and served by a lady who knows both cooking and elegance can be eaten on amazing palace tableware in a salon found only in a sultan's palace or in a museum or in the most expensive hotels. As a whole, despite its small size, the riad gives the impression of staying in a huge palace and vast gardens of sultans from Arabian fairy tales - in a harmonious world of water, exquisite and well-kept plants, tasteful poetry and music. This is a mini world as if from dreams, idealized novels or films, from paintings by European painters discovering the Orient, enchanted by its nature, people and their delicious culture. Such an incredible guest experience would not be possible without the owner and host of the riad - Mr.

We liked everything and will return! The beautiful garden with the pool, the very comfortable rooms with the best showers of our trip (hot with lots of water pressure!) Fantastic location and the best breakfast of our 2 week trip. Jean Claude was wonderful and his staff was great! Highlight of our trip! We enjoyed sipping a glass of wine (we had with us) in front of our room with a view of the Medina

United KingdomShower can be intermittent, but to be honest, after checking in a different accommodation in a different place in Morocco, I seriously doubt if and how much people here have showers..... intermittent isn't bad, at least it works for a shower-length of time.
- Beautiful garden. We took so many pictures in it, during the day and the night. - Fantastic location. I like the fact that it's not in in the medina, but so close you can easily walk in, and not be surrounded by how busy the old town is. - There's a heater in the bathroom!!!! Only now I'm freezing in the current accommodation, which made me appreciate this heater even further! Missing it..... - Tasty breakfast. Lovely staff and food. - Friendly and helpful host. Jean Claude was very helpful and gave us a lift to the bus station as we booked one that's too early. He also moved breakfast time forward so we could have some food before we start the long coach journey. Will definitely come back to Jean's Riad when in Fez next!

GermanyThis wonderful Riad is located at a parking lot right next to the main street of the medina which is very nice because it's in the center but also very quiet and peaceful. We got a very rich breakfast in the morning and it is also possible to get a dinner in the Riad but we didn't book it. On our check out day Jean Claude was so kind to call a taxi for us to get to the airport. It costs around 250 Dirham which is approximately 25 Euro which we think is a fair price. We can definitely recommend this Riad. Thank you Jean Claude for making our stay in Fès so special! :)

United KingdomI only gave 9/10 because of the shower, which didn't have a curtain or door and so sprayed over the room.
The Riad is very well located just on the edge of the Medina. There is a lovely garden, filled with the sound of birds and with a pool. The room was spacious, with lots of places to put things, and had a little outside terrace. The breakfasts were delicious, and we also ate a tasty evening meal here. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and even drove us to the station.

Jean Claude and his staff provided top notch hospitality during our stay. Very accommodating to our schedule and went above and beyond to help us getting to places. The location of the riad is walking distance to the old Medina and other major attractions. Beautiful decor and courtyard. The breakfast includes various sweet jams, bread and pastries, fruit salad, OJ, yogurt, and coffee and/or tea. Highly recommend!

NorwayA sweet, tiny riad decorated in a vintage style. The room was clean and Jean-Claude and his staff were very hospitable. Breakfast was delicious. I really appreciated that from the walls to the pots of jam used for breakfast, everything looked old but clean and well-maintained. Sustainable stay.

NetherlandsThe only downside was that the bed was very small and bed linens/sheets weren’t very substantial so it was not as comfortable of a nights sleep.
