Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesStaff was extremely helpful and nice. They even helped us carry our luggage at 4AM during our check out. Also they had the best harira we have throughout my trip in Morocco. Highly recommend this Riad if you are in Fez; especially if you are looking for a place close to everything including to the Medina.

AustraliaThere's nothing to dislike.
I loved EVERYTHING. Traditional guest house hosted by local people - respectful and welcoming, an unspoilt souls. At any moment, they were ready to go above and beyond. The room was as spacious as a little home, and their large and comfortable beds were divided by a few stairs, which basically created 2 separate spaces. Even a bathroom is probably around 14 m² large. I loved a rustic, antique style of a room design, especially an old, squeaky, super tall and super stylish, wooden French door, old chandelier, tiles and lamps. The energy and the ambient in this riad couldn't be more remote from a rhythm of a modern life. They're slow, calming and inspiring, letting one stop for a moment, search their own soul and have an uninterrupted conversation with themselves. It just puts a person to a different state of mind and emotion. Priceless! Further on, Riad Yamanda provides a very nice (sweet) breakfast, as long as one isn't greedy. Food and beverage beyond breakfast were also very affordable, tasty and well measured (enough for a 110 kg guy like me). Don't miss on their mint tea, it's very different from what you can buy in a supermarket, this coming from a sworn coffee drinker. The balcony at the rooftop offers a mind-blowing view towards 3 out of 4 directions. The balcony is also a very pleasant space, equipped with very decorative and comfy chairs, as well as fairly large, beautiful coffee tables. I'm not an easy to impress kind of person, I never bothered with putting too much of an effort into reviewing anything until now, but this stay in Fez really felt like travelling back to some different times, felt like magic and Riad Yamanda is, beyond any doubt, responsible for 90% of my impression. So, give what is due, they well deserved this comprehensive honesty from me. P.S. There you go, Mohammed. I kept my word and told the world about you🙂

United KingdomI recently stayed at a hotel on Moroccan Road in Fez, specifically at Yamanda. My overall experience was as expected, with all the amenities and services meeting the standard expectations. However, what truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by Mohammed. His attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made a significant difference in my experience, and I truly appreciate his efforts. I highly recommend this hotel, especially due to the excellent service from Mohammed.

United StatesAs is typical with older facilities there are some areas needing maintenance, likely this is taken care of in the off season which is when we visited. Some of the railings were quite loose, I could see careless children (as all children are from time to time) leaning on these too hard. There could be more outlets for charging, but again as an older, historic building this is more or less expected. The cost of the Riad is slightly higher than the avg space we looked at for our family, but I believe it was worth it. All told *very* minor concerns.
The property was beautiful, like most Riads its a converted space with less than 10 rooms and a wonderful communal area for dining and hanging out. Riad Yamanda had exceptionally beautiful painting and tile work in addition to the wrought iron railings. Since the Riad is near the periphery of the Medina, and so uphill from the central area, the upper deck has great views across the entire old city and many of the hillside ruins. As we were there in late winter the upper space was mostly unused, I can see this being a great location to take a meal in the warmer seasons. The location allows for easy access to the main streets in the Medina while also being less than a 5 min walk from a car accessible area for pick up/drop off. The staff was phenomenal, especially Mohamed, I can't say this enough. They helped all of us, including our crazy children, feel welcome with kind greetings, helpful suggestions, and genuine smiles. I highly recommend Riad Yamanda for families.

ItalyOur suite room had only windows opening to the inner part of the Riad. This may be an issue for some guests.
Hassan leads the Riad friendly yet very reliably and efficiently, always with an eye open on the guests' expectations. Feeling relaxed like at home at your Riad is especially valuable after a daily immersion in the Medina. Improvements may be possible in some furnished particulars and the like, but this is far from being a complain, really a minor issue compared to the overall value and the excellent relationship with the host. Our suite room had two bathrooms: an excellent plus for the four of us.
