Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis didn’t bother me, but you are close enough to the square that you can hear the drums at night. So if you go to bed before midnight, you might need some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Walid and Hassan welcomed me and took great care of me. I was only here one night but I wish I could’ve spent my whole stay here. Steps from all the action of the Medina and the square. Gorgeous decor

Morocco.
I had a truly wonderful stay at Riad El Habib with my friend. From the moment we arrived, Walid and Hassan went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The level of care and attention we received made us feel like we were the only guests in the entire riad. The location is perfect.. just a few steps away from Jamaa El-Fnaa, which made it so easy to explore the heart of Marrakech. The riad itself is very clean and well-maintained. A cleaning lady was there almost everywhere I went, making sure everything stayed spotless at all times. I would have loved to enjoy their beautiful terrace and soak up the sun, but unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time during our stay. That said, this riad has definitely become my go-to place whenever I visit Marrakech again. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality — see you next time!

United StatesIt is not vehicle accessible, however it is easy to get a man with a baggage trolley who can escort you a short walk from where the taxis drop off. And upon departing, early in the morning, the vehicles/taxis could get very close to the front door (into the main square, which is only a 30-second walk away).
We loved our stay at Riad El Habib and would definitely recommend it, and we will definitely return. It was excellent value for money, great location, quiet, safe, and comfortable. Highly recommend.

United Arab EmiratesMy second time staying here!! Just a short walk from the main square and all the major sights, yet so peaceful and quiet in the evenings — the perfect escape after a day exploring the Medina. The terrace has gorgeous views, especially at sunset, and the service from the staff was incredible — warm, attentive, and truly made me feel at home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and the WiFi worked perfectly throughout my stay. A hidden gem!

United StatesJust simple things like we wished there was a towel rack and toilet paper stand in the bathroom.
We had a wonderful time there. Hassan and Walid took excellent care of us. Location was very convenient, just steps away from Jemaa el Fnaa. Breakfast was good which Hassan managed very well. They provided tea whenever we requested.

United KingdomThere is nothing I didn’t like. I just wish I was there now.
What a perfect place to stay! As a first time solo traveller, I couldn’t have been happier. The place was lovely, location was perfect, the room was great & the roof terrace was a big bonus especially at night overlooking the city. A huge breakfast sitting on the terrace set me up for the day. But what really made it the perfect stay for me was the friendliness of the staff & all the help & advice I needed especially with help for my onward travel. I’ll definitely be back!

RussiaA very cozy and colorful riad in the very center of the old town. All popular locations and good restaurants can be reached on foot in 5-20 minutes (although the route runs through the market, but this is a feature of the center of Marrakech). I would also like to thank for the hospitality and help of the persons who worked at the hotel! At first glance, this place may seem unsafe due to its location in a busy shopping area, but in fact it is a common phenomenon in Marrakech (all riads are located on similar streets), so don't worry. During my entire stay, I did not encounter anything criminal, the location seemed very convenient to me. I was a little confused by the fact that the windows of my room were located opposite the windows of the neighbors, but this is a feature of the riad's architecture that just needs to be taken into account, so there are no complaints. I lived alone in a regular room, and it seemed to me that it was a little cramped, so for two people I recommend suites (on the third floor). The friendliness, comfort and cleanliness are at a high level! Thank you a lot!

United StatesThe location was exceptional!! You are steps away from all the sights , but it was quiet. The staff couldn’t be kinder or more helpful with everything. I have mobility issues but they brought me breakfast downstairs every morning so that I didn’t have to climb the stairs!! They were always around if you needed anything. Perfect Marrakesh accommodation!

GreeceThe mattress was painfully firm despite the linens feeling great. The room was the smallest riad I have stayed at in a dozen trips to Morocco. So I was surprised for the price.
Very convenient location and the staff was so so nice. Really felt welcome. They made a delicious couscous too for lunch. Very helpful and so courteous. The linens on the bed felt awesome. The roof was nice. Liked their simple but tasteful decor.

ItalyThe rooms are tiny with very little room to maneuver. There is also no sound privacy as the rooms are traditional, and the doors are folding slap type doors. You will hear everything, including the birds chirping outside your door. All conversations that you have need to be monitored if you don’t want other people to listen.
Centrally located to the markets and dining. Right around the corner you can find an ATM as well as a gentleman who will sell you a SIM card for your phone, which you will need if you were traveling from out of country.
