How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur hosts Said and Said were so helpful and kind. The Riad is beautiful and has the best view from the shady terrace. Location is perfect.
Some of the beds were uncomfortable and it would make a huge difference to upgrade sheets and towels. I would definitely book again despite this due to amazing staff and location.

Verified reviewThis riad is the best one we were staying during our Morocco trip, and we changed 5/6 of them. The owners of the Riad are so nice and they were here for anything we need. Rooms are very big and comfortable with everything we can possibly need during our stay. Breakfast is amazing, and you can have it on a terrace with a view of whole medina. If we are coming to Fes again we would definitely choose the same accomodation.

Verified reviewStaff excellent. Knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Large comfortable room. Good breakfast. Rooftop terrace was very comfy.
Our room fronted the Medina so was quite noisy even at night.

Verified reviewWe spent 4 days in this fantastic Riad in the Medina of Fes. The hosts, both named Said, are two special people—kind and welcoming. They met all our needs and organized every tour for us, both in and outside of Fes, during our stay. The location is excellent, easily reachable from one of the main gates at Rcif Square, about a 3-minute walk. The Riad is clean and equipped with everything you need for your vacation, featuring the typical architecture of a Moroccan Riad. The breakfast is generous and very good, carefully served—even on the terrace when the weather is nice—with a stunning view over the entire Medina.

Verified reviewThe property was beautiful and the location was fantastic - right in the Medina! The best part, though, was definitely Saïd. He was such an excellent host and went above and beyond for us. He helped us book & plan our travels and activities, made us delicious breakfasts (very early when we had to leave early), and was always there for us if we needed anything at all. 10/10 service, highly recommend this Riad for you Fes trip!
Nothing.

Verified reviewI can highly recommend this riad! You will be welcomed by the warmest and friendliest staff ever and there is just a great atmosphere. We got help with everything, we didn‘t have to walk to restaurants or the bus stop by ourselves but got guided and when we got lost in the medina we got immediately help on whats app. The terrace has a breathtaking view and the breakfast is really good. When we left for our Sahara trip early they even packed a breakfast bag for us. I would definitely stay there again, so if you read this, this is your sign to book Riad El Bacha, you won‘t regret it :)

Verified reviewSaid was a very nice, caring and friendly host. I felt safe and comfortable in this riad. The view from the roof terrace 360° over the city was wonderful. My room was located next to the roof top terrace. The room was spacious. Good location of the riad in the medina.

The only bad side was we had to change our programme as we were not expecting a city and a riad as good as this with such a price ✨they made us want more, we will have to come back here as soon as possible and just stay in the riad

Verified reviewSaid is a great host, we were very welcomed. We arrived late at night and we were met at the train station and brought to the Riad quickly and comfortably. Rooms are beautiful. Said made tea for us and helped to solve all the issues. People at the Riad were wonderful, breakfast on the terrasse was very nice. We loved Fès a lot and hope to come back. Merci beaucoup 💖

Verified reviewGreat position in the center of the Medina, few meters from Place Rcif where taxis can drop you off. The riad is very simple and spartan, yet for the price of a cheap european hostel you get a big room with private bathroom plus a good breakfast. There is a nice terrace at the top. Overall our experience at this riad was pleasant even though there were some small improvable things, e.g. the floor is not perfectly horizontal and so are the beds, the rooms are not remade every day... All in all I would recommend this riad to young people, group of friends and people who are adaptable and on a budget.
Having breakfast with the jacket is not the best experience, maybe some heating could have helped.

Verified reviewOur stay at Riad el Bacha was more than we could have hoped for. Saïd was so kind and helpful, booking tours for us, walking us to restaurants when we wanted recommendations, and making our stay easy and comfortable. He helped accommodate however we wanted to experience Fes. We enjoyed having breakfast on the ropftop terrace and felt looked after the whole time, especially after feeling a bit fragile post travel. We enjoyed the hospitality so much we stayed for two extra nights!

Verified reviewThe staff was absolutely welcoming and kind. The two guys at the reception picked us up outside the medina and showed us the way to the riad, welcomed us with a great Moroccan tea and gave us many valuable suggestions about what to visit and how to reach the places. The room was huge and clean and the rooftop gave us a great view of the whole city. The Moroccan breakfast was delicious. Perfect stay!
