Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt’s a bit tricky to find, but that’s not unusual for a riad in the medina, and it’s part of the adventure!!
Very hospitable staff, great location in the Medina, smashing courtyard and rooftop areas to sit and hang.

United StatesBasically nothing. Our room was probably the only one with street noise because it was right over the main door, but with ear plugs it was fine. The rest of the Riad seemed to be very quiet and tranquil. The beds were hard for my liking, but they gave me a man extra blanket to sleep on top of, which was fine.
The staff went out of their way across the board. They were accommodating when one of us was sick and made extra tea. I have spent a month in Morocco and this has by far been my favorite stay. I would most definitely recommend staying here. Food was good. Location ideal. The terrace was very nice. Thank you to the staff! We loved it.

SpainBeautiful place with really nice design touches and local flavour. Great breakfast in the rooftop and great location. And the very best Imane and Oumaima (and Mohammed and the test of the team): THANK YOU for being so nice, helpful, professional and lovely. Thank you for these great days and for the laughs!

PolandWhen we entered the main hall of Riad Dar Laura, we said, “Woooow”. And then we were very impressed, as everything was amazing. Great location, nice rooms, beautiful terrace where we could have our meals or Moroccan tea, and—what stole our hearts—amazing people who take care of this place. The hospitality we met there was beyond any of our expectations. If we are ever back in Fes, it is clear where we will stay with no doubts!

United StatesThe riad was very beautiful and well restored. The rooftop is a hidden gem. The elevator was hugely helpful to get our luggage up to the top floor. Oumaima was really helpful to give us an overview of the city and arrange a hammam appointment at an authentic local spa. They also arranged our early morning taxi to the airport.

United StatesThe lighting in the bathroom was very dim but I am positive that won't be an issue as the owner assured us it would be taken care of. It's a wonderful place and we loved our short stay here.
We stayed in this huge Dar with a beautiful courtyard and spacious rooms for 2 nights. The staff and the owner were all wonderful and hospitable. We loved the breakfast so much that we placed a last-minute order for some special menu items for dinner. Loved our 3-course meal of Moroccan salad. seffa and a unique dessert. The location is excellent with good options to eat nearby. The walk from the bus or cab stops is a short one which makes it a very convenient place to stay. There are 4 floors including the terrace but they do have an elevator to take the bags up which was a huge help!

PolandWhen we arrived to the given location we were greeted by the staff and someone took our luggage without asking. We thought it was the service provided by the hotel. However it turned out it was some local porter who only carried our luggage for max 30 meters to the hotel entrance (not to our room) and wanted to be paid but he had no coins, he then became very unpleasant and the whole experience wasn’t very nice
Very beautiful riad, nicely furnished, good location in the medina but not in the crowded center, nice terrace where the breakfast is served. At first we were given a room on the ground floor with entrance straight from the riad’s courtyard. It was very loud but we asked to change the room and there was no problem, staff was very helpful and understanding.

GermanyStaying at Riad Dar Laura was an amazing experience. the Riad is beautiful, the food is delicious and the people are amazing. I got stomach sick and they treated me like family, helped me in every possible way, I can't thank them enough. The experience begins at the arrival with delicious mint tea and homemade cookies. The location is also great, right at the Medina. I totally recommend staying here and discover the beauty of fés.

AustraliaExpect some street noise until late in the evening as everyone is close in Fez.
The staff were excellent and the property was full of character . It was very convenient to the Blue Gate entrance to the Medina and you could get a taxi to the door. Breakfast was great and dinner was very nice (ensure you are hungry) and it is well located for other quality and good value places to eat.

PortugalIt was a great pleasure to stay at Riad Dar Laura: superb location (you won’t be lost in Medina, easy to find, close to the entrance to Medina and to various cafes and restaurants), very clean, super delicious breakfast, high level of hospitality and service. In reality it was even better than in photos. You feel the family type of business from the day one: everything is done with great love.
