Location was great and at a very reasonable price. Air conditioning in the room was life-saving

There were 3 of us staying together in one room, and one of us had to check out earlier than the other, so they went down to breakfast before the other two. As it turns out, breakfast is only provided once for each room, which we were unaware of, so the other two of us weren’t served as we thought we would be. If we had known about this prior then it wouldn’t have been an issue.

The riad itself was beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Includes breakfast which is a plus and the price is very reasonable.

We had the top floor, which meant all the hot air was there. During the day the ac worked fine and at night it didn't work, I really didn't sleep the air was very hot and tjr ac worked as a fan only for 1 bed.

Etman he is very helpful and friendly. I hope he gets to run the riad one day. Ask about Etman he'll take care of you.

Amin should adjust his behavior. This is not how a guest should be handled. Amin is rude.

Entry way was narrow and dark. Very hard to find . We felt alittle scared and isolated. Going up the stairs was tight. Unclean bathroom. Musty smell in window less room.

This Riad was really nice. Our host was the best guy ever to begin with. Breakfast was really tasty and cooked on the spot just for us. The terrasse has an amazing view of the Medina.

Unfortunately, the wifi in the room was not working. Also, the room was a bit dark and a little bit humid but these were minor inconveniencies .

Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice welcome and godbye, authentic riad with nice atmosphere. Standard ia similar to other cheap riads in Morroco.

Description of the room not very "accurate" and should be updated. No washing machine in the room (service additionally paid 10dh/Item). No way to park the car for free as indicated and generally no option to go by car as the riad is inside of old Medina. No walk in shower but old bath, with a bit blocked drain. "Soundproof" doors means wooden doors which are difficult to close. Wifi was not working at all. Nevertheless it was unforgettable experience to spend two days inside the old Medina.

    Property response:

Hello, we are at the reception at Riad Diwan. These customers have booked with us, and when they had breakfast in the morning, they asked us to let them spend another night in the hotel. We told them that we do not have a room, every room is booked. They left and moved the bags here and spent the whole day outside the city. When they returned, they took their bags and left and wrote this comment on us. I do not understand how this person speaks and how he acts with his mind. He does these things like this. I do not understand.

The location was in an amzing location. Very close to most monuments and attractions. The breakfast included was a typical Moroccan breakfast and very filling. We also ordered dinner as we used to get tired after long days outside. The tajine was amazing but I must put pressure on the beautiful and delicious couscous. The portions are really big, but definitely a must try. The stuff members are amazing, they are ready to help and very welcoming. If you find any issue during your stay do not hesitate to ask them for help. I would also suggest you to go to the terrace for dinner and breakfast as the weather and the vibes are immaculate!

    * Great budget experience of a riad * Amazing location - in the very heart of Fez medina but easy to find and on one of the main routes * Beautifully decorated * Amin and Omar were really helpful hosts (thank you both!)

    * We still consider the place to be a good value for money but it could do with a bit of thorough cleaning

Nothing.... It should not be listed on bookings.com

After paying on bookings.com in full the owner of the Riad laughed at me saying everyone there knows he has no bank account. We have to pay him again in cash and in full. This is a shock if you already paid and had to quickly get cash. This early evening so we said we will sleep one night then he said we will pay and sleep for the nights we booked or we have to find somewhere else to stay. We ended up paying again and still after 4 days no reply from bookings.com. The place was filthy. We booked a room with a private bathroom and ended up having to use the one on the ground floor for everyone which was really dirty and we could not even stand up right in it. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. We were not the only tourist with the extra payment experience, the same night 3 other ladies had the same.

    Property response:

Hello, we are in the reception at Riyadh Al Diwan. These customers booked with us and indeed we asked them to pay for the room because we do not have any other way to pay at home and we swore. Booking was informed of this information and spoke to them and they paid. We are now making a statement that we have taken the price of the room from the customers. We did not take it from any other way. We hope that Booking will return their money to them and that they did not speak to us in such a way on the site. We spoke and told them that if there was any problem, they should call us on the phone number and we called Booking and told them everything. Only a mistake was made and now their money is not with us at Booking. This is not true. This is how they treat us at home with a nice face and when they go, they make comments that are different from the home meeting.

We enjoyed a couple of nights stay and were very pleased with the hotel. We got upgraded to a double room with personal shower free of charge. The room and shower/bathroom was relatively clean with some minor exceptions. The hotel has a nice terrasse from where to enjoy a good breakfast, and you are allowed to use their kitchen for cooking. Good wifi. The location is also great for travellers wanting to experience Fès medina. We felt that it was great value for money. The staff was very nice.

The room was quite cold when visiting in January, but the duvets kept us warm at night. Some minor issues such as with the drain in the shower.
