Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We loved everything. The 5 star rating this property has is very well deserved. If I could rate the property 10 stars I would. It was amazing. This was the best place I’ve ever stayed at. They were so accommodating of my friends and I. If I’m ever going back to Marrakech. Without a doubt staying here.

United StatesThe location was a bit further from the souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa (main square) than our first tiad in the old city, an 18-20 minute walk, which is fine if you don’t mind the walk. It is close to the mosque. It might be closer the new city, not sure. There is a tall young man who hangs out where your car will drop you off who tries to get you to pay him for carrying your bags. Avoid him. There was construction going on next to the building and walkway was covered with rocks. The front desk woman asked them to clear a path and they kindly did, but it still was hard on our roller bags.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Our daughter got sick and the riad front desk man went to the pharmacy for us to purchase medication that really helped her stomach. Their English was limited, but we were able to communicate. Just be prepared. They also helped with arranging a car taking our bags to the car for the airport. They’ll store your bags after checkout if needed. The sheets felt really nice and bed comfortable. Air conditioning was good. Very clean. Breakfast was yummy. The hospital is nearby and several police monitoring area.

PortugalWe stayed 3 nights at this Riad and we loved it. We were coming from the desert very tired and this Riad was a very welcomed rest. We had dinner in the firts night which was delicious. We had a tour the next day and they kindly offered to prepare our breakfast earlier. The room was always very clean. Our flight was late at night and they let us stay in the Riad later, keeping our bags as we had one last stroll through Marrakech. Abdel is a very nice host Thank you all so much.

GreeceEverything was perfect
Fantastic Moroccan riad, beautifully combining traditional and modern elements. The breakfast was very good, and the room was comfortable with wonderfully scented hand soaps, shower gel, and shampoo. The greatest advantage was the staff — everyone was polite, very helpful, and always with a smile. We arrived at the riad around 10:30 p.m., and there was welcome tea and cookies waiting for us. I had informed them earlier in the afternoon asking if it would be possible to have a light dinner, and they had prepared a lovely meal and set the table for us. The food was delicious. One day, we needed to wake up early for a day trip. We informed them, and they kindly served us breakfast at 6:30 a.m., earlier than the usual breakfast hours.

MexicoExcellent attention and beautiful rooms. Everything was perfect and the attention was incredible. The only thing is you must arrive walking, as no cars fit in the street and it’s kind of sketchy, safe, but sketchy. Plan to arrive in the day and you’ll have no problems :)

Wow 👌 what an absolute gem of an oasis to stay. Beautifully furnished and every comfort catered for. Very comfortable beds, linens, immaculately clean, and the staff especially Abdel went above and beyond his duty. He served us a delicious breakfast each morning, told us places of interest, and arranged airport transfers (20 euro) . We were met at the drop off point and taken personally to this beautiful riad by the night porter. We had a very tasty 3 course evening meal at the riad which was delicious. We will definately be returning Thankyou to you all who made our stay so perfect in every way. We will miss you all. Ann and Tim.

United KingdomMore restaurants serving alcohol, but that's their culture so it has to be respected.
The location was just right for us, about a 15-20 minute steady stroll into the centre. A little daunting when we first arrived as there were no signs for Riad Beni Sidel but plenty of signs for others. However, it didn't take long for one of the locals to point us in the right direction. All the staff were fantastic, very helpful and always polite. The Riad was spotless, and it was a bonus having the roof terrace and pool, although the pool was more like a plunge pool (it was February after all!) Some people may be put off having to walk down all the little alleyways particularly at night, but we always felt ok, never troubled. It was nice to see the children actually playing outside in the alleyways -football, spinning tops, roller skates - very nostalgic! Amazing sense of history wherever we walked, always wanting to peek behind the next Riad door to open! The locals kept to themselves, but if we spoke they interacted. Do your homework before you go if, like us, you enjoy an alcoholic drink with your meal! Not readily available, but Tripadvisor was reliable. Kabana restaurant was our favourite, with rooftop tables and cocktail bar, we rated that the best during our stay. La Pergola also fairly good, with live jazz from 8pm. All restaurants that serve alcohol are best to book, especially on a weekend. All the restaurants in and around the square had the best rooftop views for sunset, but we didn't find one to have a beer in which was a shame. Atlas mountains trip to see the waterfall was very enjoyable and excellent value for money with Booking.com. Moderate fitness required, good trainers are adequate, not suitable for pushchairs as advertised though! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 6 nights, but 4 would have been enough.
