There are no lockers. I had to keep my valuables lying around in the dorm, where the other guests go in and out all the time. While nothing was stolen, that didn't feel safe. There is only one power socket on the terrace, and it's sometimes busy. They don't have a power strip. One of the dorm windows is difficult to close. One of the guests broke the key of the dorm and the lovely door had to be broken. It is still a bit damaged. :(

The location is on a very central square, with cafés, restaurants, shops, and a taxi stand. The Blue Gate and the market are very close. Most of the interest points in Fes are within walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The terrace has a beautiful view of Mount Zalagh, the Merinide tombs and half of the Borj Nord. You can see the sunset over the mountains. (Picture included!) It has dining tables, some couches, and a collection of old radios. The kitchen is also on the terrace and is very well equipped. The Wi-Fi is good and it's comfortable to work on the computer. The dorm has its own toilet and shower. I like the internal design.

Riad Batha has been a great base for our four days exploring Fez and its surroundings. The staff was really helpful, especially Khalid who offered us a great breakfast every morning and helped us with all requests we had.

Not a big deal, but the bed was a bit wobbly

We had a very nice and comfortable stay at this lovely little hotel. The location is great (accessible with a taxi; couple of minutes from the medina; 5 minutes from the Blue Gate; cafes and restaurant within a short walk). The room was spacious and clean, with A/C, great WIFI, and excellent shower facilities. Nice breakfast at the terrace. The staff were really helpful and responsive.

We had 2 rooms. They were a bit smaller, but the bathroom was newer. The location is easy to find and in a quiet area. The breakfast was excellent. They offered us dinner, where we had chicken pastilla, which was very good. Fatima and Khalid were very friendly and always available to us.

Exceptional hospitality! My partner and I had a later arrival to fez than expected, got out of the airport at ~1am. The taxi service we had booked through the hotel had waited over an hour for us to arrive, very friendly. When we got to the hotel, we were greeted warmly and shown to our rooms - our payment was taken in the morning so we could get to sleep asap. When we arrived, Khalid at the desk asked us when we were looking to have breakfast. When we awoke the next morning, they had breakfast already prepared and laid out on the table for us up on the terrace - free of charge. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and accommodating. 10/10 stay would visit again.

The Riad is located close to many tourist attractions and restaurants. The breakfast is wonderful, it's on the rooftop which is really cosy. The rooms are very spacious and have a wonderful shower. The staff is so helpful. Our toilet was leaking, they immediatly came to clean it & an early check-out was absolutely no problem.

not much to not like - there’s less of a communal area with couches as it is a bit of a smaller riad, but the rooftop terrace has some tables

Lovely staff, excellent breakfasts, great rooms with ensuites and a/c / heating, great location just outside the medina entrance so not too noisy and easy to find.

Whatever you do, don't go into the market area! They'll scam you saying they'll take you to the hostel. Stay at the roundabout, it's right near the roundabout!! Also, the terrace view, at night at least, isn't anything special, but there's wifi there if you need (as well as in the room).

The room is very nice and it has the bathroom inside, also they had towels. There's a very nice café across the road for breakfast. I'd stay again.

We really enjoyed our 4 days in this lovely new Riad which is super comfortable, clean and spacious. The location is perfect - just a few minutes walk from the Blue Gate and there are many cafes and restaurant choices within a 5 minute walk. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and responsive to requests and we were even given free breakfast on our final morning, as well as a late checkout which was so helpful as we had an early evening flight out.

There was construction within 10 meters of my window, making it impossible to have quality sleep in the morning. They started with jackhammers pretty early. I asked for a refund for the second night so I could move hotels and their response was, “speak to booking.com” which is impossible to get an immediate response from. I paid cash, they should have refunded me and let me leave.

The room was a good size for the value and clean. The staff was kind.

We booked this hotel because it had a high rating, but the hotel turned out to be terrible. We traveled all over the country, but we have never seen such horror anywhere. The sewer system wasn't working (it was clogged), the electricity was often cut off – and at first (we didn't understand what was going on) We had to sit in the dark, water was flowing from the ceiling in the corner, and the entire floor and sheets were wet. There is not a closet for clothes, not a single hanger to hang clothes, there are no stands for suitcases. The dining room was closed, and breakfast was brought to our room, but since there was no table, we had to have breakfast on our beds, surrounded by unpacked suitcases and clothes... Towels and bed linen were not changed, although they were wet. There were very uncomfortable high steps leading from the entrance to the room (not suitable for the elderly), but there was no railing, and we had to climb the stairs by holding on to the walls! But the room rate was at the level of a very good hotel! Of course, Khalid helped us, but we had to call him several times a day, and it was exhausting. Besides, what could he do if water was pouring from the ceiling and the lights were constantly going out? Besides, we couldn't help but pay for his diligence. Surprisingly, the comfort rating was written at 9.0. Even the photos of the hotel show that the rooms have nothing but beds.... What kind of comfort can there be in such a room? We believe that a high rating is a dishonest assessment.

More or less decent breakfast and helpful staff. Location.

We stayed here for a few nights and didn’t get a good night’s sleep at all. Our private room was very close to the entrance, and since the door had a traditional lock, many guests struggled to open or close it properly, making a lot of noise each time they came in or out. On top of that, our room was right next to the staircase, so we could hear people walking at night. The toilet had a strong sewage smell at night. When we asked about it, the receptionist said it was normal and that nothing could be done. Breakfast was nice for the first two days, but it was exactly the same every morning—just bread with different jams—which got boring after a while.

Khalid, the riad staff, was very kind and friendly. The rooftop terrace was a nice place to relax. Convenient location to all the restaurants and shops. Very close to the medina.

Honestly, there was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations in every possible way from the warm hospitality to the beautiful surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere.

I absolutely loved my stay at Riad Batha. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with fresh and authentic Moroccan options. The location is perfect just a short walk from the main attractions of Fes, yet quiet and peaceful. The traditional décor and ambiance of the riad made the experience truly special.
