Every single thing about Riad Asswar was outstanding. This is as good as it gets for international travel accommodations. The place was beautiful, super clean, peaceful and in a perfect location for exploring the medina of Rabat. Wifi worked perfectly throughout the riad, bed was super comfortable, AC worked great, shower was very nice. The staff were excellent. Mustafa, Zakaria, Hosseine, Samira and the few whose names I did not get, were so friendly, kind and generous. It has a wonderful rooftop terrace with excellent views of the medina. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful, Mustafa was always ready to give us more food and drinks with a gently, persuasive smile. We stayed 6 nights and were sad to leave. This place is a perfect 10 and a rare find. Thanks to all the staff for working so hard to make our stay a true joy! Shukran 🙏🏽

The location is great, central to everywhere and everything is walking distance. All staff are very friendly and nice. Mustapha looks after us very well, attended to everything for us. Breakfast was served at the rooftop restaurant with nice breezy weather and was very good, thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful Moroccan style place.

The bedroom was clean, but had a faint bad smell. The bathroom was clean, but needs to be updated.

Service was amazing. The main atrium of the build is very pretty. Breakfast was really good. Everything was freshly made on arrival to the roof. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We stayed for only one night and this was our first night in Morocco. Zachary went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and he made us feel very welcome. He was also very helpful with information.

Moustapha was a great host and made sure everything was perfect, taking extra care of us during our brief stay. As a half Moroccan person I was very glas he did show our culture of welcoming and care for guests to my partner. Room was clean and all the staff very gentle. I’ll definitely return.

No seperation between shower and loo.

It was located in the heart of the medina. Breakfast was spectacular! We loved the rooftop and food. The interior design was cosy. We would love to stay here again. Staff was super warm and helpful. Special mention to Zakaria - thank you for everything, and to Mustafa too.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day. All the staff were friendly and efficient, especially the two gentlemen working at the reception desk, who were friendly, efficient, and professional. Mustafa, in particular, helped me navigate the train booking system and was very helpful throughout my stay. Would highly recommend Riad Asswar.

Riad Asswar is a true gem in Marrakech! Perfectly located in the Medina, it’s just steps away from great restaurants, lively souks, and the city’s most famous attractions — yet still offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat from the bustle. The riad is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and wonderfully cozy. It really feels like a home away from home. A special mention to Mustapha, the host, who is absolutely exceptional. I recently spent 5 days in Rabat, though in hindsight, 2–3 days would have been more than enough. The city itself is relatively quiet with limited attractions compared to other Moroccan destinations. While it does have a few historical sites and a pleasant coastal vibe, there's not a huge amount to explore within the city itself. If you're someone who enjoys a drink during your travels, be aware that options are limited within the Medina. For easier access to alcohol, I’d recommend staying outside the Medina in a hotel that caters to international travelers. That said, the highlight of our stay was definitely the riad. The space was charming and comfortable, and our host Mustafa made a lasting impression. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of his way to ensure we were looked after. His hospitality added a lot of value to our experience. For this alone I would give a 10/10 and massive thank you, for him and his efforts we wouldnt have enjoyed our trip nearly half as much. Overall, Rabat makes for a calm, short stop—ideal if you're passing through or looking to wind down, but not necessarily a destination packed with activities.

I want to say a special thank you to Mostafa and Zakaria for the care and attention I received while staying at the Riad. The breakfast was absolutely excellent and they were so helpful when it turned out that my child couldn't eat eggs and there was no other food. But the next day they made porridge especially for him. Very clean, great shower, a great combination of Moroccan hospitality and European service. Thank you guys!

Incredibly warm reception, with wonderful staff who were always on hand to help. The interior is even more impressive in person, and the breakfast was definitely the best we had in Morocco, so many options!
