How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel is in old town, near medina and Palais Royal is only 5 minutes waking. The room and the hotel were nice, with nice architecture and clean rooms. The personal was friendly and help me with all information needed. Was also possible to let my luggage in the reception before I left and to make late check-in. They have also a nice terrace up.
The hotel's location even if is 5 minutes walking from Palais Royal, but is on a small street in medina , which is not very nice, but was ok even in the night. For the breakfast are only 5 options standard from which you can choose.

Verified reviewthe staff were so good that we feel we now have a good friend in Tetuan :) The location is walking distance to all attractions and is amazingly on a very quiet street despite being in the middle of the medina. The staff (especially Mr. Alae) accompanied us and advised us (and even took us out for a drink) from the moment we landed in Morocco until the moment we left. Arranged all our transfers to Tetuan and also Chefchaouen. and breakfast was very good. It is Moroccan style.
that we could not stay longer because It is a lovely old Riad with a great atmosphere and stylish decorations. We will definitely repeat our stay.
Thank you very much for your comment, it is a pleasure to receive guests like you.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was good and the staff was polite and friendly.
Entering the room there was a smell of mold (as there is a big rug on the wall and the room is very musty, it is possible that the mold is everywhere behind the rug). The room was also very dusty, the rugs on the floor looked like they weren’t cleaned for a month if not more. There was also a “private” bathroom which wasn’t private at all, as it has second doors that lead to the main hall where reception is (the door is also full of small gaps), the walls are also super thin so it makes it even less private. The shower curtains were moldy and disgusting. On top of all of the above there was a loud gathering in the main space of the riad next to the room until 11PM so it was hard to fall asleep.

Verified reviewCute and beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. The young woman at reception is friendly and a wonderful help. She also communicates well about check in as the riad is in the medina and not easy to find the first time. The roof top terrace is lovely along with the morning breakfast. Wish we had had more time to explore the medina>
Parking was not easy to find at first if you are driving. Its best to ask for the parking location otherwise street guides will take you to parking further away. The rooms can be hot at night but do have nice fans.

Verified reviewHello, My daughter and I found the place just perfect. It was a last minute booking and we were enchanted with a musical, friendly, comfortable Riad...I would have liked to stay longer but we had to follow our travel schedule. I highly recommend !!!
It was above our expectation. Since it was a last minute booking. Nothing was unlikable (not sure if this word exist since I am French Canadian)... Again, I highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe receptionists was really nice and polite
I booked a room with a private toilet but the private toilet was outside the room. To get to the toilet, there were very steep and high stairs below our room. That was a very big problem, as I wake up 2 or 3 times a night to go to the toilet almost falling down the steep stairs outside the room. I paid for a private bathroom so that it will be in our room not on the common stairway. Being on the common stairway next to a bar. Our toilet was used by other people who pissed all over our private toilet. The staff cleaned it once but not the 2nd time. Being next to a bar meant that even at 1030pm, we couldn't sleep as people were singing, talking so loudly. The rooftop bar is outside our room. The only nice thing about the hotel were the receptionists. The room was small with windows that faced a wall.
