Everything was absolutely 10/10. The design of the riad was a beautiful mix of old and new, the location is perfectly out of the way of the tourist hustle and bustle. Incredible breakfast daily. Most importantly, the staff made our stay so welcoming and warm. They made us feel like family after a week there.

A peaceful and beautiful riad in the center of the Medina. Everything was great; the food, the facilities, location, the Hammam etc. The thing I appreciated the most is the staff. I have never felt more at home during my travels. Everyone is genuinely friendly, helpful and in a good mood. Adil is always around to help you with all your questions, to help you plan things, or simply for a fun chat. We came as strangers, but left as friends. We hope to return soon!

There is literally nothing negative about this accomodation

We LOVED our stay at Riad Al Massarah. The location is perfect, right in the Medina, while having peace and quiet being inside the riad. The room is very spacious, the swimming pool is refreshing on hot days, the breakfast is delicious, the staff is super friendly and the hotel manager Adil went the extra mile and helped us with booking the airport transfers and booking extra activities such as a visit to the Agafay desert and cooking workshop. We also had a hammam session and massage at the riad which was just AMAZING. We more than recommend Riad Al Massarah!

Nothing. It would have been nice to be able to get a beer or alcoholic drink (you are allowed to drink your own alcohol in your room if you wish) but we felt it was better to respect the customs and beliefs of the country we were visiting.

This a fantastic place to stay in Marrakech. It is a quiet oasis just metres away from the busy main areas of the old city. We liked everything about it. The breakfast (taken on the terrace) was superb - fresh fruit, yogurt, honey, nuts, bread, pastries, cheese, eggs anyway you wanted them with coffee or lovely mint tea. The whole riad is beautifully and tastefully furnished throughout and just exudes relaxation and calm. We had the 3 course meal on our first night in a private dining area - dips/salad to start, a chicken and olive tagine to follow and finished with a milk and orange desert, all home made and delicious. Our room with private bathroom was lovely and beautifully appointed. The pool is not large but fine for a plunge after a day exploring the city over a soft drink in the courtyard area. The riad like all in Marrakech is dry (no alcohol). The best thing about this place though is the staff. Simo, Adil and everyone else could not have been more friendly, helpful and informative. Right from when we arrived, when Simo met us from our taxi at the city gate to escort us to the riad (about a 3 minute walk) until we left early in the morning 5 days later when Adil walked us back to get our taxi, the care and attention was second to none. A wonderful experience.

This is a truly unique riad. We stayed in multiple properties in Marocco but this one truly impressed us. The interior design is impeccable, every single detail is thought through. Rooms were spacious and clean. The plunge pool just gorgeous. Breakfasts were one of the best we had in Morocco set-up on a beautiful terrace. Staff was not just friendly but went an extra mile to make our stay comfortable. In other words, if you can afford to stay in this place, just book it with no doubt, you will not regret it

For me, an enclosed shower would have been better but that is a personal preference, many people like wet rooms.

Riad Al Massarah is well laid out, beautifully decorated and a peaceful haven The breakfasts were fantastic and served on a beautiful and peaceful roof top terrace from where the snow capped Atlas mountains can be seen. The tables are beautifully set out with freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, homemade muesli, yogurt and cream cheese. There was also butter, honey, marmalade and jam. You are offered a selection of hot drinks, home made breads and pastries. Food allergies where acknowledged and well catered for.

Location is a bit down a dark alley which is not ideal as a solo traveler - wasn’t unsafe but just something to keep in mind when booking accommodation in the Medina Room was heated by a fire place, and even though I didn’t use the fire place, all my clothes smell like fire / smoke after staying in the room for 4 nights

Really nice riad with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and lovely rooftop to hang out on when the weather allows. Nice cozy seating area downstairs as well with a little library. Did the hammam + massage which was great!

It is a bit estrange not to have a key for the bedroom but I understand this is how Riads work.

The Riad is really well looked after, the facilities were always clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly, always looking after our needs and eager to answer any questions. Breakfast was amazing!

I've spent a few days here and I cannot be more satisfied and happy. It was a lovely experience, I felt like home and everything, including the personal was just fantastic. The breakfast is absolutely great! I hope to come back

We had trouble with the fireplaces, which neither we nor the staff could get to work after trying for two hours. The water wasn’t as warm even after 10 minutes, which made taking a shower in December less enjoyable. The staff’s lack of English was a major drawback, as it made communication difficult. Another issue was the payment—they list prices in Euros, but you pay in Dirhams at an inflated exchange rate (about 5-7% higher than the official rate). While this seems to be common practice among hotels and riads, it felt a bit like manipulation and left a bad aftertaste. Despite promising to send a confirmation for the payment, they never did.

The location of the riad is fantastic—right on the edge of the Medina (but inside it), with only a very short walk from the nearest traffic stops, which is important since taxis can’t reach every spot in the Medina. The architecture and facilities are beautiful, showcasing the charm and character you’d hope for in such a place. The rooms, while small, are comfortable, and the breakfast provided is sufficient, though nothing extraordinary and always the same.

It was a pleasure to stay at this charming riad in Marrakech, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The riad was beautifully decorated and with attention to details. The mix of traditional Moroccan design with modern comfort made it feel like a serene retreat after a day exploring the bustling city. The hosts were very welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. They took the time to ensure that we felt completely at home, taking care of all our needs. Also, the breakfast was delicious, accompanied by the traditional Moroccan tea. It was clear that they truly care about their guests’ experience.

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Fabulous! The arrival - a five minute walk into the Medina from the taxi - did not look promising but when the door opened we were enveloped into another world - calm, beautiful etc! And we received a charming reception. Our room and bathroom were lovely. Welcome meal of Tagine was good. Slept soundly on a firm but very comfortable mattress. Breakfast was exceptional- fresh fruit salad, home made yoghurt and preserves - choice of eggs - lovely tea and coffee beautifully served. The staff were so helpful in getting us orientated. In the afternoon we lazed on the beautiful sun beds on the roof - the whole experience really felt five star. Then we met Simo, the manager, who escorted us to a wonderful restaurant called Le Balcon des Arts. The last night Simo recommended restaurant Dar Marjana which was licensed (!!) - don’t miss it! Also licensed - and good is Cafe Arabe opposite the entrance to Le Jardin Secret. But the RIAD Al Massarah made the visit!

The location is great - easy to get access from the gate of the Medina. The riad is so beautifully designed to every detail. The delicious breakfast, freshly cooked and served, on the terrace each morning is the perfect way to start off the day! And the service is brilliant, Simo and his team, are warm and friendly. We would love to come back again!

My colleague and I stayed at Riad Al Massarah after 10 days of working elsewhere in Marrakech, and we could not have chosen a better place to relax and wind down. The Riad is absolutely wonderful, spotless and truly welcoming. The staff have been exceptional, giving us any advice and information we could need and making us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the place was a quiet oasis in the perfect location amidst the liveliness of the medina. We would have loved to stay longer.

What could have been better? Only if I could have stayed longer!

I cannot say enough about our stay here! Normally we travel to different locations to see new places but we will come back again to Riad Al Massarah again! The staff was exceptional, all of them very friendly and efficient. Simo answered all our questions and gave great recommendations to restaurants and local sights. Simo's sister is the housekeeper and is a beautiful young woman who always has a smile for you and keeps the place spotless! We opted for the tagine dinners on our first night and it was delicious! I had the best chicken tagine ever! Our room on the 2nd floor was very comfortable and quiet; we were surprised how late we slept in! We had breakfast upstairs on the lovely terrace. Delicious fruits, yogurt, breads, coffee, juices, etc. The downstairs was a wonderful place to hang out and relax, read a book or have a quick dip in the plunge pool. One of my favorite things on this trip was just reading and having a "sippie" in the corner downstairs of this beautiful riad; amongst the trees and flowers. SO relaxing! They do not have a liquor license but did not mind us bringing in our own and provided us ice and tonic. We continued on to Fez and stayed at another Riad and it did not compare. This place is top notch with the service and all the little extras that were provided. Great job to their amazing team! Riad Al Massarah is heavenly!

The staff was very warm, helpful and accomodating. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The riad itself is very beautiful and charming. It is clear they paid attention to every detail. It is very clean and well kept. It is a peaceful escape from the bustling city. We looked forward coming back to our room after days full of activities. The staff made sure we also felt very safe and comfortable. Simo is incredible manager. He went above and beyond for us, including great recommendations as well as running a personal errand on our behalf.

Nothiting!! I absolutely loved the Riad. It was a beautifully decorated and a lovely place. You really feel like it's your home away from home! When I solo travel, I want to feel comfortable, safe, and really enjoy where I stay. I will definitely be returning to Riad Al Massarah on my next visit - loved it here! Also, all the staff were very helpful, engaging, and lovely.

The breakfast was excellent! It was on the upstairs terrace so you had the wonderful outdoor experience while having your meal. Kudos to Touria who makes the mculture. wonderful treats that they serve at breakfast. Loved the location! I had been to Marrakech before and like staying in the Medina where you can walk everywhere and experience the local culture. This was the perfect location for doing just that.
