Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainConvenient location just a few minutes walk from the Medina and the new town. Spacious room and bathroom. I would stay here again if I had to return to Tetuán for sure.

NetherlandsIf you are vegan, the breakfast (which is included) is rather limited (3 different types of bread, which are anyway good, and mermelade). It would also be nice to have some litter bins in the rooms and common areas.
The room was clean and well-organized. The beds were comfortable. The location was also nice, relatively close to the bus station.

CanadaThe bed was horrible. Slept on springs. We couldn’t enjoy breakfast cause it starts at 9am and we had to go early for a train.
The location was excellent, riad is beautiful and the rooftop is very comfy. The morning staff guy was friendly and tried to help.

United KingdomThe property was a bit tricky to find as we drove. You will need to leave the at a nearby location and walk up to find the property. Probably should provide individual towels as the bathrooms are shared.
The property is clean, the host is lovely. I was not aware that the bathroom was supposed to be shared but we booked with family so I was not aware of the fact. Please note that you will have to pay for the Tea upon arrival. The breakfast is lovely. The manager picked us up and helped us when we did not find the property, as it was not easy to find on the map. You can not fault the manager in there as was welcoming and lovely

PortugalClean, nicely decorated, friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast. My room was simple but nice and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately for me as a fairly tall person, there are a few very low doorways in the common areas and I hit my head really hard on several occasions. Located inside the Medina. Do not trust Google Maps, you can't drive there unless you're on a motorcycle.

GermanyAny minor inconveniences were more about personal preference and easily outweighed by the price. If you want more, be ready to pay at least twice as much.
For a modest price, we got a punctual pickup at the parking lot, help with our luggage, and a spotless room. The beds were very comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the shower was hot—great for cold days. The hosts arranged a private tour, breakfasts on the terrace were nice, and the mint tea was always available.

United KingdomI was expecting bathroom in the room, it wasn't clear for me that bathroom is not private while booking (if I would notice earlier that it is shared probably I would book somewhere else). Breakfast was late.
Beautifully decorated Riad, with the terrace. Clean. Staff helpful. Good value for money. Good for one night stay.

United KingdomThey say they have parking, bit in fact, it's a parking garage a few mins walk away. Not such a big issue, except I rode my big moto into the small streets only to find this out. The garage was okay though. It's tricky to find this place, very deep into the local side streets, but locals are helpful.
Very clean, beautiful decor and nice shower. Close to a bazaar type thing, very authentic, local experience given its location. Decent enough breakfast, although having it on the terrace in winter is pretty chilly in the morning

SpainIn the toilet there is not separation for the shower so you wet all the floor when you take a shower. They were some little holes in the bedsheets of cigarettes.
The couple of brothers who run the business are so kind and helpful. The riad is new brad and the common areas are beutiful.

CanadaUnfortunately the walls are very thin and you can hear everything and everyone staying in the riad. It did get quiet around 10:30 pm. We also saw very little of the staff and the parking was not free as was indicated on booking.com.
The Riad is newly decorated and kept very clean. The location is great, especially after you memorize the route to and from the Medina. Check-in and out was easy. The terrace has some lovely seating.

CanadaThe shower does not drain at all. The bathroom smells. The worst is the noise. There were people who were either friends or family of the owner/manager hanging out in the common areas - yelling, laughing and kids running around. It was very noisy until well after 10pm. We like to relax in our room after a full day of sightseeing, but you can't relax when people are so loud, as if they are in the same room as you. The walls are thin as it is, but these people were very loud.
Very clean and newly remodelled. The location is great in the Medina, but also easy to reach because it's close to the main street. Wifi is excellent. It was finally quiet to sleep at night.

RussiaBut there was a mouse scratching in the wall for half the night, and that made it hard to sleep. The city itself is pretty dirty, with the smell of trash and cat pee everywhere. The room had that same smell too—not because it was dirty, but because that’s just how the whole city smells.
The room wasn’t stuffy, probably because it was on the first floor, I think. It also had a fan. The design was nice, and everything was clean.

United StatesI can't think of anything.
It's a newly renovated hostel style hotel. Great place to rest after exploring. After the neighborhood goes to sleep, it's nice and quiet. There's a terrific Café for breakfast nearby, and it's a short walk to the Medina. We even had 2 very good recommendations for food.
