Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHot water in the showers was temperament, possibly due to a fault with the system supplying our rooms.
Rooms were comfortable and had an air conditioner/ wall heater. Breakfasts were good. Staff excellent. Small bar with limited range of drinks.

United KingdomThe shower pressure and temperature was the only downside during the stay.
A good stay over 7 nights. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was decent and plentiful. We also had an unexpected free 3 course dinner on the last evening, thanks! Great views over town / valley. Large and comfortable lounge area too.

United KingdomIf I was being really picky the satellite TV in my room could do with UK channels, but I wasn't in Tafrout to watch TV so that didn't bother me.
This was my third stay at Les Amandiers which probably says it all. Good sized, clean rooms. Friendly staff and nice food. It also has the only bar for at least a 75 mile radius! Decor's dated but well maintained and that just adds to its charm.

United KingdomBreakfast: Fresh fruit was available on request, but would be great to have as part of the buffet. 'Hot' breakfast was cold.
Stunning location, with friendly staff. Highlight was sitting out on the terrace each evening watching the sunset with a cold beer, catching up with friends and comparing notes on activities.

United KingdomMore choice at breakfast and coffee on the table would have been better than queuing for it in the mornings. Also the tagines at dinner were unpleasant and overcooked. We often ate out in Tafraout because the evening meal wasn't up to scratch.
As someone who needs gluten free food my choice was limited at breakfast. They were unable to provide gluten free bread / maize bread or crackers, but I did get some fruit at breakfast.

United KingdomSomething just didn't work here. The layout of the hotel is difficult, you cant get easily to the terrace out front or from the bar to pool etc The restaurant is large and empty with no outside/inside access, we didn't want to eat there and chose to walk into town instead. The breakfasts were underwhelming ..bread products not very fresh, hot products in food warmers etc The staff stood around with nothing to do at breakfast, with so few guests they could have made fresh omelets on demand but they didn't. On our last day, there were so few guests, they didn't bother with the buffet and had made us a plate up of a bread roll, jam etc. The whole hotel feels a little tired. The rooms and bathrooms feel 'institutional'... like a boarding school. The area and Tafraoute is so stunning. My favourite place in Morocco. This place deserves to be full and lively. Sad that it isn't!
This is a very hard review to write. This hotel has so much potential, most of the staff tried very hard and were really friendly, the location is superb, only a 10 min walk into the centre of Tafraoute. The pool and gardens were very well maintained and the terraces pleasant. There is a well decorated lounge area and a bar where you can buy beer...that in itself is an unusual luxury in most of Morocco.

United KingdomCavernous Hotel is a quite dark and cold outside the rooms. The giant restaurant is a bit too much when there's only a couple of guests.Breakfast was repetitive and mainly just bread. The checkout process was unnecessarily long and complicated with the toting up of the Bill on a daily basis with Tourist Tax percentages having to be explained due to confusing calculations!
Well located on small hill overlooking town but a short walk to centre.Great views of town and countryside. Friendly and helpful staff. Was upgraded to slighter better room as I had stayed before. Room was spacious and comfy and warm.Balcony views.Laundry done promptly.Pool area for relaxing in the sun.

United KingdomThere was some wear and tear that could be fixed relatively easily, such as a leaking tap in the hotel room. Didn't bother us too much, in any case.
Very friendly and welcoming staff and management. Best location in town, overseeing Tafraoute with a very nice pool area.

United KingdomDespite the slightly spooky headline picture this was a warm and welcoming hotel! The pool was fantastic the staff cheerful and eager to help with anything. The restaurant was good and the terrace is a great place to have a beer as the sunset. It’s a large hotel with only a few other people staying so it feels you have the place to yourself- definitely an experience! Our room had a balcony and the beds amazingly comfy.
