Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The location was great; it was very close to everything and the hustle and bustle of the main square, but just far enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing evening. The owner is also very pleasant, and very approachable and helpful with advice. The breakfast was tasty as well.

Riad is located in the middle of the medina next to the spice market but once you’re there it is very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing. The room was big enough and bed was comfortable. They even printed our boarding passes. Highly recommend this riad .

GermanyWiFi not the best. But still good enough for social media and YouTube. And your on vacation, so just be in the moment ;)
We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. The location is peaceful and quiet ab bit hidden, yet very central, making it easy to relax and unwind. We stayed in the deluxe room, which offered plenty of space and comfort. Everything was clean, and the value for money is excellent.

CanadaA driver was waiting for us at the airport, then Abdul picked us up from the edge of the Medina to walk us to the Riad. It would have been much more difficult finding it on our first time. Despite the bed being 2 mattresses, we were unable to feel the seam between and it made it so that we couldn't feel when the other person moved or got in/out of bed. Breakfast was available every morning, and we regret not enjoying it alongside Abdul to get to know him better. Jetlag won this time. He was an incredible host and id stay here again.

Location was excellent- a 2 minute walk from the souks and spice square and very quiet when in the room which was great. Great staff and they were very helpful with tips on where to eat authentic food and places to go in general. Good breakfast every morning and they tried to provide gluten free bread for my partner although this was not always successful. Very reasonable rate for a really clean property and very welcoming staff

United KingdomOnly issue we had was initially finding the Riad because there was no sign with the name, however this is the same for every single Riad in Marrakech. If anyone is visiting then just make sure you know the number of the Riad you're staying in.
Abdul and his staff were fantastic, so accomodating and friendly. The breakfast wad cooked fresh every morning and it was gorgeous. During our stay we actually needed some washing done. The staff cleaned everything we needed and it was lovely and fresh. Such lovely people and a really warm and welcoming feel to the Riad.

AustraliaIf I had to pick anything the hot water took a long time, but it did eventually get hot.
The location was close to the main square, this is a great location if you want to be close to all the action. It is hidden down a small side alley hard to find without maps

IrelandThere is nothing I can suggest to improve for the price and location.
Abdullah's hospitality and generosity were incredible. From picking me up at the taxi drop-off to giving me a good lay of the land, he made you feel very welcome. The accommodation was excellent. Nestled close to the hustle and bustle of the markets, it was good to be close to a lot; however, it was in a place such that the noise wasn't an issue at all… in fact, it was very quiet. The terrace roof offered a place to lounge and enjoy the sun; this is also where you have a traditional Moroccan breakfast.

Superb location, close to souks & many of the sites. Staff very friendly & helpful, Abdul did everything possible to ensure an excellent stay. Comfortable room, traditionally decorated & quaint. I was a little cold so an extra blanket was brought promptly, there are also heaters/air conditioners in the room if you wish to use them. Breakfast served on the roof terrace.

ItalyI recently stayed at *Riad La Maison Berber Shams*, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! The ambiance of the riad is serene and authentic, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the vibrant city. The location is fantastic—just an 5 minute walk to the famous Jamea El Fna Square, and taxis and other necessities are conveniently nearby. The breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of delicious local dishes, all served fresh every morning. It was the perfect way to start each day. The real standout, though, was the attention and care from Abdellah, the manager. His warmth and professionalism made me feel right at home. He ensured that every need was met and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. If you're looking for a place with authentic Moroccan vibes, close proximity to everything, and exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend staying here
