Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing to dislike. Maybe difficult for many seniors (which we are) climbing the hills of the Old Medina in the Kasbah Sometimes language/communication was a barrier- generally solved with Google Translate

This Hotel is a gem. Really beautiful with gorgeous art, tiles and hand painted furniture. There is a sitting room which is beautiful and comfortable. It felt like being in someone's beautiful home . Very friendly and comfortable. Very close to all tourist sights. Felt very safe. The views from the sitting area on the roof are beautiful, over the kasbah, the town and towards the sea. Listening to the call to prayer is magnificent from here. Breakfast was excellent made by Dikra and Fadoua, served with a smile by Abder.. Now the staff.. what can I say. 100%. Hard working, charming, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Very kind and very professional. Abder, Dikra and Fadoua are wonderful people and a real asset to the Hotel. We laughed and chatted with them all and enjoyed their company and at the same time we had our privacy. They offered advice ,did laundry, brought me tea (thank you Dikra) made us breakfast and kept everything clean and tidy. Very gentle, kind people. We stayed 3 different occasions as we were traveling around and each time we returned it felt like going home to fruendly faces. We loved the Hotel and the staff so much. I'd also like to mention Mohammed the taxi driver Abder arranged for us to go to Chefchaouen. He was the kindest man,who walked with us to our hotel and stayed until we were checked in (I was nervous as a pushy guy had decided to "accompany" us for money). We felt so safe with Mohammed and were looked after well. He showed us places of interest too. I honestly felt privileged to be in his company. We would definitely recommend this Hotel and hope to return one day. Thank you all for making our visit extra magical

United KingdomMy experience at Kasbah House was unforgettable. Tucked away in the enchanting Kasbah of Tangier, the house is a perfect blend of Moroccan tradition and refined modern design. Every corner felt curated with care from the serene atmosphere to the beautiful details throughout the space. The rooftop views were breathtaking, the rooms incredibly comfortable, and the service warm, discreet, and attentive. It felt less like a hotel and more like a peaceful retreat. I left feeling completely recharged, inspired, and already dreaming of coming back. A heartfelt thank you to the owner, Achraf Taoussi, whose vision and taste are felt in every detail. His passion for beauty, comfort, and authenticity makes Kasbah House a truly rare experience.

United StatesOur room could get a little stuffy, but they had a dehumidifier available which helped quite a bit.
Our recent stay at the Kasbah House was fantastic! Oumaima and the rest of the staff were so nice & accommodating - we could not have asked for a more helpful group. The breakfast served each morning were delicious, huge portions, and made to order. The entire place was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed & decorated, and I loved all of the various nooks with seats or couches to hang out in, plus the terrace with a stunning view was lovely. Location is great - pretty central in the old Medina, but tucked in so was very quiet. This hidden gem is not to be missed!

Saudi ArabiaIt was a bit difficult for me to locate the homestay due to the language barrier — most people speak only Arabic or French. The hotel staff I first contacted didn’t speak English, and there was no sign with the hotel name outside, which made finding it even harder. However, once you find the hotel, everything gets much easier. Be cautious of people who pretend to help — not everyone is genuine. If you're taking a taxi, even if it's arranged by the hotel, make sure to agree on the price in advance, or you may get overcharged.
The property is located in the heart of Kasbah, near the renowned Ibn Battuta Museum. It’s a cozy space, tastefully decorated with antiques, and everything you need is within walking distance. Be sure to visit the nearby seafood restaurant, Chez Hassan — it's a must! The owner of the boutique hotel, Achref, is truly exceptional: friendly, helpful, well-mannered. The staff is also wonderful, especially the manager, Umaima, and Fadwa, who kindly took care of our meals

United StatesRecently my son and I were guests at the Kasbah House. What an incredible experience! I knew this was a special place when I texted them to inform of a long delay in our boat arrival due to Ramadan and they offered an upgrade to give us more comfort, although they had nothing to do with the delay!. The owner later texted me personally to ensure all was well. The rooms are lovely, the staff is wonderful, the service excellent and the breakfast delicious. Oumaima the manager took care of all our needs efficiently and sweetly, she also arranged for a lovely gentleman to take us to the airport. We got to know the soul and mystery of Tangier from the beauty of this quite special home. Got to meet lovely Moroccan people and made friends with them. I will never forget our stay at this delightful guesthouse. Do not miss the “Interzone” store just around the corner of the house! It has amazing memorabilia related to old Tangier and a bit of history of Matisse’s path in the city.

United KingdomThe room was damp, didn't spoil the holiday but did irritate my nose at night. No tea/coffee facilities are in the room or available to buy from the guesthouse. Again, didn't spoil our holiday, but sometimes we fancied one and couldn't face the hill to get one! The bathroom could do with fan extraction.
A lovely guest house situated in the Kasbah, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk into the medina. Lots of very steep hills if you are walking, there are plenty of taxis. The house was tastefully decorated and clean, and our room was spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. There are many flights of stairs in the guesthouse. Our breakfast was served downstairs. Breakfast was plentiful and set us up well for our days of sightseeing ( eggs, jam, breads, pain au chocolate, mint tea/coffee)- delicious. We sat on the rooftop with amazing views out to sea and mountains. The staff were kind and helpful, they printed off our boarding passes which saved us money and worry. They smiled through our terrible French attempts! We asked for recommendations for food on our first day, they recommended Chez Hassan, about a 10-minute walk towards the Medina. It was so good we went twice for dinner. The complimentary water was very welcome. We found the Morrocan people to be friendly, gracious and welcoming. We had lovely chats with locals, other travellers and experienced kindness in shops and marker stalls, we really had an amazing time.

GermanyUnfortunately, the hotel is very noisy (noises from inside and outside penetrate strongly) and the service staff is very immobile. The request to print out a page was denied and also a check-out delayed by half an hour. Although breakfast was included in the price, a second cup of coffee had to be paid extra for each time. Breakfast was the same every day.
Very nice hotel in traditional Moroccan style. Perfect location within the Kasbah, all major attractions are within walking distance.
