This freshly renovated riad is an oasis of peace in the heart of the Medina. Badia is a wonderful host. We enjoyed the spacious room, the pool, and the excellent breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.

This is my second time visiting Riad old city palace within the last year. I typically try to stay at different Riads every time I visit Morocco, and different Riads throughout the duration of my stay to experience new places, but I ALWAYS find myself wanting to stop by riad old city palace for at least one night. Two of the most hospitable, kind, and incredible employees work there, by the names of aziz and his sister . Earlier in April when I went, they both remembered me from my previous stay (so sweet!!), and greeted me with the warmest smile and biggest hugs. I miss them already! The rooms are incredibly clean, with all the amenities needed. Breakfast is served every morning, which consists of fresh pancakes, eggs, breads with various jams and jellies, coffee and tea. So yummy! The staff there will take care of all of your needs and give you all of the information and advice that you need to explore the souks and Medina of fes. The Riad is pretty centrally located and just a walk away from plenty of shops and restaurants. The roof has a beautiful patio, beds, and chairs for lounging, and they provide tea on request throughout the day. This is seriously the Riad of my dreams. Do yourself a favor and stop here to meet the kindest Moroccan people!

The Medina is full of hustlers charging for directions. They want you to follow them, they get you lost and then charge you for directions.

Simply Magic! Had a WONDERful air-conditioned room on the ground floor. The hospitality, the atmosphere, the breakfast were first class. Even had dinner there... it was sooo good. Parking of our car was nearby and all our bags were carried for us. Thoroughly and highly recommended!

We enjoyed ourselves wonderfully in this riad. Not long opened and so tastefully done. Super nice owners and very friendly staff. Nice personal contact, we attended a cooking workshop at this Riad with a lovely and knowledgeable cook and kicked off for shopping with a very nice staff member beforehand (nice in a city like Fez, because you getting lost very quickly). We rate them A twelve. ;-)

The riad is very new and some rooms may not have all the facilities you need (ours was missing the bathroom door, the wardrobe and bedside tables). Also, due to the position, it’s a bit chaotic and you can hear basically everything happens outside 😂

The riad is located in the center of the Old Medina. It has a beautiful pool where you have breakfast in the morning with a good variety of food mostly prepared for you in the moment. The air conditioning was functioning very well. The staff was wonderful: super kind, friendly and helpful, especially Badia! 🥰

The staff made this place feel like home with family. They designed and refurbished this hotel by hand. It is beautifully decorated with zellij tile and ornate lamps, headboards and fixtures. A true oasis in the busy fez Medina!

+ Staying in a riad in Fes Medina is like stepping into a hidden paradise where time stands still. The moment you cross the threshold from the lively, labyrinthine streets into the serene courtyard, you’re enveloped in an oasis of calm. The intricate zellige tilework, soaring cedarwood ceilings, and the gentle murmur of a central fountain embody Morocco’s rich craftsmanship and heritage. Many riads here are lovingly restored historical homes, blending authenticity with modern comforts—think plush linens, rooftop terraces with panoramic Medina views, and personalized hospitality that makes you feel like family What truly sets Fes’ riads apart is their ability to immerse you in the city’s soul. Mornings begin with the aroma of freshly baked msemen and mint tea, while evenings invite quiet reflection under starry skies, undisturbed by the buzz outside. The staff often go above and beyond, sharing insider tips on exploring the Medina’s hidden gems, from the vibrant Chouara Tannery to tucked-away artisan workshops. For travelers seeking a cultural deep-dive paired with tranquility, a riad in Fes isn’t just accommodation—it’s an unforgettable chapter of your Moroccan journey. Highly recommend for anyone craving authenticity, beauty, and a heartfelt connection to this ancient city , I definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy the real Medina ,

The only thing I didnt like was having to leave wish we could ve stayed longer

Felt Like Home 🙂We had such a great stay at Old City Palace in Fes The place is beautiful and calm right in the middle of the medina but still easy to find The staff were super friendly and helpful the whole time Our kids especially loved the little pool it was perfect for them to play and cool off after walking around Honestly it was one of their favorite parts! The riad also helped us get a really good tour guide to explore the medina He was professional knew a lot and made the visit so much easier and more interesting They even helped us book an amazing trip to Merzouga and the Sahara it was well organized and at a very fair price It was the kind of place where you actually feel at home We''d definitely come back

    Everything was perfect

The team at Riad old palace was our highlight. This Riad is a hidden gem in the heart of the old Fes medina - peaceful and welcoming and just short walk from the main gate bab Rcif . Our suite was spacious and clean, the value for the room was exceptional. They went way above beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Help us with a great driver and guide to take us sightseeing. We highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Fes

De only thing we didn’t like was leaving this beautiful place

This was by far the best place we stayed during our trip in Marocco. The Riad is a beautiful hidden gem inside the medina of Fez. It just opened so everything is new. The rooms are so beautiful with Maroccan furnture, lamps, mosaic tiles. You can go to the rooftop and have wonderful views over Fez. Very nice breakfast and kind staff. You can even take a dip in the inside pool. This place is AMAZING!

In some ways, the superfluous is there, but the essential is missing. The rooms are furnished with beautiful, typically Moroccan beds and chandeliers; on the other hand, there's very little light, and no furniture to put anything on. Breakfast is decent; the first night we were tired, so we ate dinner in the riad, and it was nothing special, very average.

The position is perfect, the rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, the furniture is typical.
