Although I was aware of the distance to Essaouira and the free shuttle bus there is absolutely nothing nearby. Food options are limited and the nearest Carrefour is in Essaouira so difficult to bring much shopping back and didn't want to wander round with shopping but had to time it for the bus back. Drop off near Carrefour enroute to town centre was helpful though. More variety other than buffet would have been nice for evening meal. Bigger selection of bar snack menu would have been nice. Breakfast was excellent.

The food is average. It could be much better and offer more choice. Our preference would to have stayed at the lodge for our entire time, but we had to venture out for better quality and more variety of food.

Beautiful lodge. Lovely pool and gardens. Quiet location, very peaceful. House beautifully and tastefully decorated. Loved the peacocks and cats. The free bus to Essouira is very useful.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our three children. We chose it as it had a heated pool which was very relaxing. It is in the middle of nowhere and nothing close by but there was a regular shuttle service to get into Essaouira, which was around 20mins away. Comfortable accommodation, lovely space and good food.

It would help if the restaurant had a daytime snack menu - the kitchen prepared us some food when we just wanted a snack, but a clear menu would have been better. The shuttle service could be more flexible, particularly in the evening.

Essaouira Lodge is a perfect place to relax and reset. It has a calm ambience, is beautifully and thoughtfully landscaped, and has great facilities. We stayed in the 2-bedroom house, which was wonderful, with a well equipped living space and kitchen, comfortable beds, and everything we needed. The staff were kind and helpful, and readily available to help. We loved seeing the birds around the pool, the peacocks, and tortoises. The pool is beautiful and clean, perfect for relaxing. The hammam was also great, as was the massage. Although it is far out of town, there are regular scheduled shuttles in and out of Essaouira, which takes around 15mins. The onsite restaurant is good as well, although we preferred to try different places in the town.

The bathroom wasted a lot of water and the washbasin had no plug.

Maybe if I was there with small children I would have found the gravel on the pavement a hard surface to ride with trolleys. That’s it :)

Would have preferred table service at dinner in the restaurant, but this changed to a buffet. More changes to the weekly menu is needed, with more variety.

We loved staying at Essouira Lodge, beautiful gardens, a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The pool was heated and set in lovely surroundings, comfortable sun beds and sofas. The free shuttle bus for guests was an excellent service provided by the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be booking to stay again!

The staff were surly, especially the older man who showed us to our apartment on Christmas Eve! He was really miserable. The exception was the man in charge of breakfast who had more about him. The lady on the check in was also friendly but the whole atmosphere was unwelcoming. The worst thing though that I hadnt anticipated was the noise from the apartment above us. Just awful. Christmas Eve at 1.30 the people above were scraping chairs on the stone floor. I couldn’t understand why someone would be moving the furniture so much at that time of night. Two out of the 4 nights we had terrible sleep. We banged on the ceiling several times. The lodge is very beautiful but it is a good 20-25 minutes out of town. We loved Essaouira and will definitely come back but not to this lodge.

Evening meals were good, but expensive for what they were. Shuttle services had to be pre-booked the day before and there is nothing in the area around the hotel

Lovely helpful staff, breakfast buffet was adequate, shared pool area was pleasant, enjoyed the hammam experience. The shuttle to town and beach was efficient and ran promptly as promised.

It was nice however I must be honest I was expecting it to be a bit better. We chose to stay 2 nights in the Medina in a more affordable place (which was absolutely great and accommodating) and then wanted to spend 2 nights to a more fancy place and relax. Some staff were absolutely amazing (like the driver/person who welcomed us and showed as our room) however not everyone felt very welcoming. We had some weird looks as if we were doing something we shouldn’t be doing and some people did not want to accommodate us or felt like they were forced to do it. One day we left the villa a bit later and the cleaning staff basically kicked us out because they wanted to clean. No room service was available which is a shame since you book a whole villa and if you want to spend a day there you don’t have an option to eat or drink anything you want (of course we were willing to pay for this it just wasn’t available). They have a whole kitchen in the villa but nothing drinkable (apart from tea) to make or anything to eat. I must admit though that one day I was really hungry and went to the restaurant before it opened and they really tried to help me. Also they really tried to accommodate me with choosing the coffee I wanted. They were very responsive in their messages as well.

Beautiful place to stay if you wanna be out of the medina in Essaouira and relax. The grounds were wonderful, our room was great and we got to relax by the pool on our time off.
