Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumTo begin with the owner, a charismatic poet with the brightest smile in all of Fez, who gardens and philosophises on the rooftop above his roses and hotel. Amazing man! The other colleagues were so helpful and friendly! We didn’t experience any bother with the heat because of the airconditioning and had good wifi (amazing fiber!) You really must visit this hotel if you visit Fez! Great location and breakfast was a lot and very tasty!!

FranceIt was still kinda hot late September and the room we had lacks good air circulation, but we had to pay a small fee for the AC.
Great location, just outside the Boujnoud gate, but hidden away from all the busy street noises. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It was great for budget traveling.

Spainnothing, it was great!
It was a great choice! the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was also very good... I really liked this place! After getting to know the city, I think it is the best location ever. Fes is a very chaotic city, so it was perfect to stay right in the Medina entrance. It was super easy to arrive and leave by taxi, also walking tours and bus tour start right next to it!

SpainThe bathroom could need an update, but it is clean too, which is most important.
Rooms very clean, great and quiet location close to the Blue Gate. Very easy to find Exuberant and tasty breakfast. It's impossible to eat it all. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Great value for money. The room had even a modern AC which we did not need though, due to rather chilly outside temperatures

ColombiaNot all staff talk English. But they did the best always to help us.
Just some steps from the Medina (you can do sightseeing without a large walk (less than 5 minutes to the closest medina gate) and at the same being out from all of the big movement to rest). staff was helpful, and the breakfast is great, I really recommend getting it if it's not on your booking.

The room was little dark but clean. The host was really friendly and helpful. He arranged a shuttle from airport and welcomed us on the edge of medina in the middle of the night. Next day he even escorted us to the car rental agency in the downtown. The breakfast was also excellent.

Switzerlandthe matrass was really hard, and the room did not invite to stay there (for sleeping very much ok). Organising a guide was a real mess, and I did not like the way they handeled this problem.
The breakfast was exceptionally good, tasty, and very kind people served it. The guesthouse is a typical house of the new Medina, so staircases are steep, rooms are small, the toilet / shower is micro but it all is ok. The people are nice.

SpainThe room had no windows. We paid for the aircondition, but it would be turned off and no posiibility to turn it on again. The room was hot, not ventilated and smelling humidity. We are absolutely not happy for the room we got. In another hand, we were told the parking it would be 20d per day and we finally had to pay 84d. Very disappointed.

Canada... But then after that first breakfast, I noticed my room was staying pretty cold, but there is a nice heater on the wall. I asked if I might get controls for the heater to take the chill off the room, and this is where everything changed.... I was told if I was to have the controls for the heater I would add another 5 Euros onto my bill, " Heating usage is from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. (5euro) And each use during the day is charged too." When I looked at our booking.com contract, it actually specifies clearly that heating and AC is included. When I pointed this detail out and showed Rashid the contract, this is when the stonewall started. He told me to contact booking.com, who of course their response was we will get back to you in 24 hours. ... From here on for the next two days, anytime I was in my room, it was to be under the blankets. Even at 8:00 p.m., it was still warmer outside. .... Rashid the owner, and the two others, basically stonewalled me from there on... not a word! A very pretty location turned into a very dreary experience, and I was so glad to finally get out of there after my 3 days. ...and just as a silly side effect, pictured is the craziest towel I've ever seen .. pilling us one thing, but 4-6" unraveling. 😆
On arrival, my first impression was very good. In my 2 months of travel in morocco, I have not seen a place that is so well displayed, and detailed in its functions. It seems most riyads in the old medinas have trouble keeping their locks working as well as here, and this is the first I see where they have a nice little chandelier from the ceiling, and side lighting even. Definitely a rarity. ... The breakfast was good as well. You would have trouble to eat all they give you for the 3eu they ask for it.

SpainSo... My app showed the cost of 22 € but for them was 27,55 €. It wasn't my fault and the landlord was kind of rude. I ask them to show me the room because I was tired and wanted to get a shower but they refused because I wasn't paid yet. I lost like 30 minutes at the reception when It was my last day there. I decided to pay the 27,55€ but then the room wasn't the same than the pictures. The bathroom was dirty and inconvenient for what I was looking for and for the price. There was no shower soap and the toilet was broken. Breakfast was ok.
Nice location
