How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe staff were the highlight! A beautiful traditional Riad with Ayyman is lovely and will help you sort out transfers, tours, makes a lovely mint tea and breakfast was divine. Rooftop is also very cosy to unwind from a big day.

Verified reviewAmazing staff! We only stayed for a few hours but everything was wonderful. Room and bathroom were clean. AC worked well. Close to all the sights. Easy taxi/car pickup and dropoff at the Blue Gate. We had to leave early for a tour and they packed us a nice breakfast to go. Easy to find and felt safe the entire time for 2 women. Would stay again.

Verified reviewGreat place! We stayed in the family room with a group of 8 students at this riad for 3 nights. Really spacious and everyone could sleep in a bed. Amazing price-quality. Good - Moroccan and diverse - breakfast (and a lot of it). Beds are really good and with the aircon the place is easy to cool down to sleeping temperatures and it's quiet at night. Perfect location as well, the riad is on the edge of the inner medina, making it easy to reach from the airport and main roads, while it's located on one of the main streets in the medina, making literally everything within reach! Staff is incredibly nice, we had to wake up at 03:00 to leave for the airport and they stayed up for us to ensure everything was in order for us and they even made us some breakfast to-go :)) Could not be better! We recommend!

Verified reviewLittle difficult to find in the medina streets of Fes, but the location is excellent. The host is super nice and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, the room is big and very well decorated. We had 2 rooms as the group of 3 friends and the room on the ground floor had difficulty with air and moisture (Chefchaouen). While the room on the upper floor was better (Sahara)!

Verified reviewStaff was incredible. Either Ayman and/or Ismael will greet you and look after you, if you need them to they can book any services provided in the area including day trips. The Riad is located near the Blu Gate and is easy to find, which makes the location ideal. Everything is in close proximity and more importantly you are in the heart of the action. The interior of the Riad is lovely, with a traditional flare. The property is well kept and the complimentary breakfast is excellent. The rooftop with it's view is wonderful. Adjacent to the property is one of the more popular and well reviewed restaurants in the Medina, 'Le Clock'. Traditional Berber music sounds emanate from the space next door in the evenings (6-8pm usually) while one of the oldest Mosques in the area is also across the street, it's accessible to the public in the daytime hours for a 2 Dirham entry fee. The value for what you get versus what you pay is incredible.. this place is a steal! I usually don't provide a review for places that I consider 'amazing' because I want to keep those places all to myself.. the less people know about them, the better. However with Riad Dar Mansoura, I'll put it out there for the rest of you to enjoy and reap the benefit of.. This place, it's staff especially, the location, the interior decor, the food, the rooms, the rooftop.. all of it was amazing. I would give it a 10 if I could! Thank you Ayman for everything!
That I couldn't stay there longer.. and that I had to leave.

Very noisy as the room was on ground level, windows to the interior. Could hear people talking when coming and going. 2nd morning no water out of shower.

Verified reviewGreat value - central location, clean room, fresh breakfast, and convenient transportation to/from the airport. My host Ismail was very welcoming and attentive. He prepared mint tea when requested and helped print my boarding pass. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Fez. Thanks Ismail!

Verified reviewI really enjoyed my stay here. The staff and in particular Ismael were incredibly helpful both pre trip and while I was there and could not do enough to make sure I had a good time. Location was perfect being near the Blue Gate which made navigating back to it really easy at the end of a long day. The Riad is really nice and full of character.
A few minor issues like the shower head holder being broken and bed sheets felt old but those were not major.

Verified reviewA big thank you to Ismail, who was always super nice and really helpful. ✨ And thank you to Ayman again for going with me to my taxi at 4 in the morning. ✨ The riad is a bit older but still nice. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and one of the best ones I had in Morocco. The Riad is easy to find by following the Google Maps. 👌🏻
