How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe riad was beautiful, the location was perfect, but the best of all was meryeme , a helpful, generous, and kind person. The best host you could ever hope to meet. Without a doubt, and God willing, if I ever return, I will go there again, and 90% of that was thanks meryeme's service.

Verified reviewMariam is a very kind, smiling, and helpful host. Mariam was always attentive and available to accompany us and help us organize our stay, such as our trip to the desert. Their food was delicious and she even made a cake for the kids which was excellent! The accommodation was very clean. Incredible stay. Highly recommend. Thank you Mariam!

Verified reviewThis riad is located in the heart of the Medina. We're close to a taxi stand, so we can easily access the surrounding area. Activities and excursions are offered right at the riad. The breakfast is locally sourced and very generous, making it a great place to start the day. There's a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view and a peaceful atmosphere. Special thanks to Maryam, who was extremely helpful and friendly. She explained the culture and way of life to us and answered all our questions!

Verified reviewThis riad has very affordable prices, however our room was in the ground floor, without any natural light, and directly next to the breakfast area. There is a beautiful roof terrace that you can enter, but meals are served in the darkness of the house whose yard is covered, hence no daylight inside. So even in the mornings, the whole interior is depressingly dark, and we were woken up by other quests having breakfast literally in front of the door of our room. In our room, a number of features (hooks, door of the wardrobe, and other) were damaged. All in all an okayish but not overly pleasant stay.

Verified reviewI highly recommend this riad. Ideally located in the heart of Medina, it offers complete immersion and easy access to all attractions. It's clean and comfortable with a terrace offering stunning views, especially at sunrise. The highlight of this hotel is its staff: welcoming, caring, and attentive to making your stay enjoyable. Their advice on finding the right places is excellent. Not to mention the delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared by Maryam. I also recommend the Wi-Fi, the excellent breakfasts, the airport shuttle, and the guide assistance.

Verified reviewThe host came to pick us up from the old City gate, and dropped us at the gate and arranged a taxi to the train station. It's easy to get lost in the city, especially if you are a first timer.
I had made prior arrangement for breakfast at 8am, and arranged a tour at 8:30am. Everything was delayed by an hour with no notice or update. We were just left waiting for an hour.

Verified reviewBeautiful art in the reseption and rooms. Located in the middle of medina but no noice in the evening. Amazing rooftop view all day. Good breakfast and nice staff.
Bathroom for single bed room is outside so you need to bring flip flops/slippers. Beds are too hard for my liking.

Verified reviewWe stayed in this riad in the heart of the medina. The welcome is very warm: you are picked up when the taxi drops you off and you are brought back for departure. The staff is very attentive and advises you on activities to do in the surrounding area; we have never been disappointed by their recommendations (restaurants, spa, walks, etc.). The rooms are clean, well equipped and the setting is pretty. Dinners on the terrace are very enjoyable. In addition, the staff speaks fluent French, English , in addition to their native language .

Verified reviewLovely host, great location, spacious airconned rooms and a terrace with views over the medina + The breakfast was a traditional moroccan breakfast served every day at 9. There were slightly different options on the different days which we appreciated. On the first day, we misunderstood when it was (it’s at 9, not from 9) and our lovely host made it for us even though we were late. The room was perfect and even though it was a riad the noise wasn’t bad in the mornings. The location was fantastic for us as the medina can be quite hectic and overwhelming but we were never too far from the hotel where we could recuperate. The best thing was the host who was kind and very hospitable throughout. She sorted us a taxi at the start and met us from the closest place the taxi could drop us which was very helpful. She also let us know when she was leaving the hotel and that we could message her if we needed anything. All in all I would recommend you to stay at this hotel for the reasonable price, nice breakfast, good rooms, terrace, location and good hosting. Will return if we come back to fes! - Nothing.
