How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location is great! Just where the heart of Fes is. The receptionist Mr Anas was available for us all day and night long for anything we ask for & the breakfast was yummy. Honestly speaking, I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit this magnificent city.

Verified reviewEverything matched the pictures. The room was spacious, clean, good bed, the bathroom spacious and clean as well. The breakfast was good. The terrace at the rooftop was lovely. The location is good as well, and easy to find. The hosts were lovely, and we appreciated them being accommodating about our breakfast time due to the train departure that would have otherwise made us miss breakfast. Overall good value for money, would recommend if you're looking for an authentic, Riad experience.

Verified reviewWe loved the location, the phenomenal staff, tasty meals and the spacious room with a king bed. We appreciated that the window in our suite opened up to the outside which allowed fresh air. Thank you to Tarik for allowing us to spend time on their lovely rooftop terrace and storing our luggage as we had an evening flight. And a big Thanks to Mohammed for going over and above to help out with booking a taxi for us and his excellent service during our stay. Shokran!!

Verified reviewI like that they are very responsive to your need and the room is clean and tidy. Its near by the medina so its very close to restaurant, cafe, etc. Its easy to find the location. They even help me to print my boarding pass and get me a taxi in the early morning.
Since it's on the main road, the sound from cars and people on the street is clearly heard. But again, it's not their fault. The Wi-Fi needs improvement.

The Wi-Fi only reaches you for a moment, which is a bit slow because that happens throughout the entire medina, not just our riad. I hope you had a good few days with us, and it's nice to meet you. Verified reviewI had an incredible stay and highly recommend! The owner and his son are very kind and truly care about their guests. Very responsive through messages and give great recommendations on how you can spend your time in Fes. The location was perfect for me as I was traveling alone so the taxis could bring me right to the door when needed. Check out the bazaar right next door for any shopping you need to do. Excellent prices. I really recommend this hotel!

Verified reviewThe room was spotless clean and the stuff is phenomenal. They spent a lot of time to explain us lots of staff, offered to prepare breakfast for us although we had to leave much earlier than breakfast time.
There was pique and separate blankets instead of blanket in sheet, but it is just my preference.

Hi, I think your problem is that you didn't read it correctly as it's written. The only room I have in the riad that has a private bathroom but is also outside is next to your room. However, I changed your room after 2 days because it wasn't available. I'm not obligated to do so because I have to respect the reservations of others and you have to do the same. I also suggested that if you want to leave, leave the room and look elsewhere. If you pay us nothing, you didn't want to go. What I didn't like the most was that you were so aggressive, speaking to the reception without respect, and you can't do that in a riad. I hope you change your ways. We don't want you to come back to our riad. Thank you.
