Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We like everything- very nice Moroccan style property. Location was great, close to everything, very nice walk along the river from the property. Our host Fatima made us feel like home and she made for us very tasty breakfasts on the beautiful terrace on the top

United StatesWonderful stay at Dar Dalia! Fatima who greeted us was lovely. Super sweet and we had tea on the rooftop with her. The owner Remi is also incredibly nice and welcoming, we enjoyed conversation with him. He helped us coordinate a taxi and they both were very kind. Loved the place (and breakfast too!) Would highly recommend Dar Dalia, can’t wait to come back one day. I also liked how it was a little received form the Main Street so that it’s less busy, but still close to everything. Great view of the mountains from the roof!

PolandI'd be hard pushed to mention anything I really _didn't like_, but I guess the Wifi could have been more stable throughout, and when I dropped something on the floor I did find a chocolate wrapper from a previous guest under the bed 8)
Our host went out of his way to welcome us and make sure we got settled in, when we arrived late in the afternoon. He made sure we knew where we wanted to go that night, and was more than willing to share both experiences and information about things to do. Last but not least, this super host, had also gone out of his way to personally prepare oatmilk (that I had wished for beforehand) for the following day's breakfast. Which was a pure delight, served up on the terrace, with a great view.

BelgiumThere was a water bottle left in the room from someone else upon our arrival in the room. It made us feel it was not thoroughly or perhaps attentively cleaned. The bathroom/water also had a bit of a smell if not aerated properly. As with most Riad’s the noise cancellation is not amazing in the rooms, but Remy was conscious and asked the guest who left early to be mindful. We didn’t hear too much!
Remy and Fatima were really lovely and extremely helpful! They shared lots of tips about Chefchaouen and the immediate surroundings. Remy was also helpful in telling us about his experience living in Morocco for many years and about practicalities (like price comparisons). The terrace was amazing and the breakfast too. We also loved that tea was always on offer. The Riad itself was also nicely decorated.

United Arab EmiratesThe room that has windows on the alley side can be very uncomfortable at night if the neighbors decided to keep taking till morning. Especially in the summer. Other than that it’s ok

United KingdomBeautifully curated property at a square. Host is welcoming and helpful and made for a pleasant staff. I would return to stay here again. For those on motorcycle, this place is ideal as you have parking at the square at arm's length.

MoroccoWe got our room at the last minute, which meant we had a window at street level. Winds at night had the tarp outside cracking. No fault of the dar, but get a higher up room if you can. Parking is also really hard. Skip street parking and use the garage across the river. It’s way easier to get to and the dar Dalia is just a short drive away.
Great location and we loved our Host Remy. He was very welcoming and patient with our poor French. Lovely breakfast on the terrace.

United StatesNothing to dislike.
We loved everything about it. Remy (owner) and Fatima? were very helpful, kind, and accommodating. The rooms were lovely if on the small side. But the public spaces were so cozy and wonderfully decorated. We sat by the fire, played cards, and chatted with Remy when given the opportunity. Breakfast was very good also. There’s an entrance to the Medina within about a minute or so also but lots of stairs.

CanadaWe could not have asked for anything more.
Dar Dalia was lovely, clean and comfortable! The location couldn’t have been more convenient for exploring the beautiful Medina and mountains around Chefchaouen! Remy and Fatima could not do enough to make our stay perfect from providing amazing breakfasts each morning, upgrading our room to have our own patio, offering tea each afternoon/evening to providing a heater for our room.
