The location is very good - you can get a taxi to the front door if needed. It is right on the edge of the Medina

There is no natural light - but that is not a negative in Morocco as many places are like this !

Stop reading and just book Dar Artisanat. Trust me, you can't have a bad experience here, Ismail and his brother wouldn't allow it. They are both incredibly kind, experienced professionals in hospitality & tourism, and consistently strived to both ensure we were enjoying our time, as well as share with us a wealth of local knowledge. From what we should pay for different taxi routes or where the non-touristy local barbers were located, to recommendations on food and how to spend different days depending on sudden weather changes, they were always easy to reach by text and quick to share insight. Ismail even walked a necklace that we left behind down to the taxi station and found a driver who was heading to our next region to ensure it got back to us before we left the country! :D The place itself has a great location tucked away at the end of the alley next to FORNACCIO restaurant, and is just steps from fresh markets and medina entrances. The home is very welcoming and has numerous communal areas so you don't ever feel cramped here, although we lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the entire week. The 2 rooms with shared bathroom are tucked away further back in the house and are great for sleeping in due to less natural light. But the house has great modern lighting throughout. One thing we loved is that the house has a ventilation system that keeps air flow circulating to prevent the humidity build-up we experienced in other places we stayed in the region. The entire place was meticulously clean when we arrived, which was huge for us. Overall I would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning for another stay here. I must also mention 2 places you can find on google maps that I went to every morning for takeaway breads and pastries: Faran El Ouezzani & FAIT MAISON. They both bake everything onsite, have the freshest items in the city, and are just steps from each other.

Kitchen is missing a few things but it had the basics and was sufficient for cooking a Tagine breakfast every day of our stay.

Mr Ismail was a great help during my stay. His English skills are perfect which comes handy for none French speakers as me. The accommodation is nearly brand new, the bathroom appliances work perfectly.

I had trouble finding the place because I didn't have data on my phone and wasn't able to contact Ismail. Dar Artisanat is located inside the small walkway next to Fornaccio Restaurant.

It’s unique character and the decoration. It’s right outside of the old city. You have a little shop (hanout) and cafe/restaurant 10 meters from the entrance. The hosts are nice and respectful and really nice to deal with!

    Nothing to note!
