How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe riad is aging and unmaintained which is a pity as it’s very beautiful. The breakfast was poor, the staff were sweet and helpful (particularly Hassan). The area suffers noise and people hassling. It was exceptionally hard to find.
Feeling of forlornness in property and the stingy breakfast.

Verified reviewThe owner welcomed us during the night and had arranged a taxi service in advance to pick us up from the airport. After that, Hassan came to pick us up and walked us to the riad, which we greatly appreciated. The owner is a very friendly and helpful woman, always available to answer any questions we had. The breakfast was good, and the room was very spacious. The riad itself was beautiful, and we had a very pleasant stay. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to reach the market, which I found an overwhelmingly special experience.

Verified reviewGreat and convenient location, phenomenal view from the room (happens rarely in riads), friendly and helpful staff, easygoing atmosphere, just perfect for me. Thank you.
I felt completely satisfied. OK, some eggs for breakfast wouldn't hurt me, but I know the rules: just baguette and jam. I'll have my eggs when I get back home.

Verified reviewNice Moroccan house in the Medina. Quite good location. The room was big, the breakfast was OK, the people were nice and helpful.
It was a bit cold to sleep in the winter, but this is everywhere like that (we stayed in 3 different Riads across the Morocco and everywhere was chilly in the evening). No bad words.

Verified reviewBeautiful home, very accommodating and friendly owners & family. They went out of the way to make me feel comfortable and have the best stay.
The location is impossible to find on your own, so they are lively and meet you, but you need an escort anywhere you go. I got lost and was very scared alone in the area. Was also incredibly cold in the room.

Verified reviewLovely room, comfortable beds and we had a good night sleep. the host was very friendly, walked us to a nearby restaurant to get some food and took us back to the hotel so we don't get lost. Great efforts made for good service
Location didn't come up on google maps and I got lost but a local helped me. That's just me getting to know Morocco , all locations in Medina can be hard to find so got to be prepared for next time.

Verified reviewThis is a traditional Riad located in a quiet street of the Medina, away from the noises and the smells of the souk, but only 5 minutes away from one of the gates. Ideal for large families or groups. Amal made our stay in Fes nice and smooth. She sent someone to the parking to help with the luggage and take us to the Riad. She organized a guide in Spanish to visit the Medina, which made all the difference. We organized dinners at the Riad and everything was delicious. We had the whole Riad for ourselves and felt good. Recommended if you want to stay in the Medina but in a calm place.
The steps for the upper floors are a bit high, so not ideal for elder people.

Verified reviewbeautiful room in a Riad in the old Medina. Before arriving the owner arranged a taxi from the airport for us, which we payed at the hotel, and someone came to pick us up by foot to guide us to the hotel. As it was night and it was in the Medina, this was very helpful. The building was beautiful, and the room was cozy. Breakfast was local bread with jam and margarine, and delicious coffee and moroccan tea. The family that owned is was very helpful, and we could arrange trips via them, (we went to Chefchaouen and the Sahara) The room did get warn at night, as it was in the top of the building but there was an airco (at extra charge). I would highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe room is spacious for four people and the place is really pretty. The host is very friendly that they give us complimentary suhoor and iftar. We really appreciate it. we like the restroom because it includes the bidet. The family living at the ground floor is very welcoming.
The location was hard to find because it was inside the medina. When it is inside the medina, you need to be careful because there is a lot of people that wanted to take advantage of you if you look lost. because the room is upstairs, it was quite hard to get our luggage to our rooms also because the stairs were really narrow.

Verified reviewThe hospitality of Mohamed was exceptional! He provided us with breakfast that was super delicious and not only that he picked us up and showed the way when we arrived late at night and when we left he called us a cab. Because the Medina is a bit difficult to navigate when you're new. He talked with us although french, our french is not the best, but we understood each other very well! The riad was typically open designed, it's quite an experience and def recommend! But if you want privacy a riad is nothing for you. We were alone there so no problem regarding that ;) Mohameds son guided us to a restaurant, when we were looking for a place to eat. It was so very sweet of him! Very familiar and cozy, def recommend 11/10
