Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only issue we came across was the poor pressure in the shower - but it wasn't a big deal, and was to be expected as the rooms were incredibly cheap.
Great location right in the centre of Fes. Had all the entertainment we were after for a single night ie a swimming pool, snooker table, TV, bar, etc. and the staff were incredibly accommodating.

United StatesEverything was clean, but nothing was new. It was really built and feels dated. The toiletries were just okay and the breakfast was average. We had to book two rooms for accomodating our 14 year old, wished they had something larger where we could have stayed as a family.
It was very good for the value. The hotel is older, so it is not modern in many ways. It has a pool and all the amenities, but what is the most valuable for us was the convenience. It is so close to the Blue gate of the medina and you are still not inside the medina if you are worried about carrying luggage and so on.

GermanyThe room was not very homely, relatively loud due to street noise and the floor was cold due to the tiles.
The central courtyard has nice blue walls and a mosaiqued floor. Here the bar is located which offers a great atmosphere for an evening cocktail. A side courtyard houses the big pool which can be used for a good swim. The Hotel is located in the old town of Fès near the Batha riundabout and not far from Bab Bou Jeloud.

United KingdomLocation: great. Close to everything on the edge of the medina and a short walk to the beautiful shady gardens of Inane Sbil. Room: very comfortable and practical, Tiled, en suite, Air conditioning, well-maintained and kept very clean each day. Breakfast is optional. I had breakfast on the terrace the first morning and it was very plentiful and tasty. :-) The biggest bonus is having a the very refreshing swimming pool in the peaceful grounds of the hotel, a pause away from the hubhub of medina life - especially when the temperatures are well into their thirties! And the staff at Hotel Batha are wonderfully welcoming and helpful.

United KingdomNothing could have been much better than it was. The new bars have livened things up. And this creates a fun place to enjoy the evening and have a drink. For me personally, I preferred the quieter times when it was just an interior garden. But this is a matter of preference, of course, and for younger people I'm sure this is an attraction. But there's nothing that I didn't like.
I last stayed at Hotel Batha 9 years previously and had good memories of my stay. To my delight the staff at reception actually remembered me and welcomed me very warmly. They were consistently helpful and friendly throughout my stay - which I extended from 5 to 8 days. The hotel has been refurbished but retains its character and the rooms are en suite and comfortable. A good breakfast is available but extra on the terrace where you can sit quietly to enjoy it. Or you can choose to head across the busy square or into the medina for a cafe breakfast and watch the world go by. The hotel is in a great location literally on the edges of the medina and a short walk from the Inane Sbil Gardens where there are trees and peace and quiet. For me, one of the wonderful assets to the hotel is the swimming pool - so much appreciated when temperatures are soaring int o the thirties ... a cool swim (or 2 or 3 :) and a little quiet relaxation. Some of the rooms have a great view over the activity in the square - which is fascinating but can be a little noisy when warm evenings bring everyone out of doors at night fall. But if you like lively then there is plenty going on. Again, the music at the bar inside the hotel can be relaxing but personally, as a light sleeper, I wouldn't want a room too near it in the evening. Generally, Hotel Batha is a relaxed, friendly, happy place - and only a few steps away from the heart of the magical medina. And I want to thank the staff for making my stay so welcoming and pleasant.

I booked the room last minute and it was great. The bed was comfortable, clean and great shower also (which is a big deal for me). The staff were polite and welcoming (shout out to Tamar)! Also they were able to print out my boarding pass which was really helpful! I would definitely stay again.

We really appreciated that we got an early check in and we could use hotel amenities (pool, bar etc) after check out. Excellent location, just a few steps away from medina. Easy to find and access by taxi (believe this is not common for hotels / riads in the medina. Hotel manager and staff did the most for us.

Perfect location, right next to the most famous streets of the Medina. We had a very good time in the swimming pool The receptionist was super nice and helpful, they booked a taxi to the airport for us and even anticipated the breakfast time to give us enough time. There is parking space on the street reserved to the hotel (we paid 20 dirham). Although in a central position, it was not too noisy at night and could sleep well. The bed was super comfy and the room was clean.
