Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomCannot praise our stay here enough. Abde and his family went above an beyond for us during our day and were always on hand if needed but discreet around the property. We travelled prior to our wedding and picked this property for some rest and relaxation before the events. The villa is situated about 35 minutes drive away from the medina in a rural area. Its was very peaceful and perfect to enjoy the local culture. We ate dinner at the property a few times and it was always delicious, plentiful, and good value for money. The property itself is well designed and on arrival was much bigger than imagined from the images. Excellent value for money. Our children loved the pool and farm animals on site. The locals are very friendly and always said hello when on our walks around the location and to the small shops nearby. We always felt very safe and had no concerns. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts!

GermanyNothing- the only bad part was having to return to my boring house in Berlin.
Abderrahim and his family were excellent hosts. They were attentive to our every need and went above and beyond to make our stay special. His mother, Hadijah is an incredible cook, and I recommend you try at least one of her homemade meals- some of the best food around Marrakech. The family and their warmth, hospitality, smiles, and generosity really touched us. To top it off, the villa is simply breathtaking, meticulously designed, and full of character. I didn’t want to leave.

SpainThere is a bit of lack of maintenance inside. Could use a fresh touch of paint, fixing the drain of the shower in the master bedroom, and other small fixtures here and there.
Very peaceful, feels like an oasis, you wake up to the glorious songs of many birds, beautiful garden, amazing breakfast prepared by Khadija every morning. The villa itself is very beautifully decorated, beds are comfortable. Overall it is a great place.

United KingdomThe Wifi is tetchy, but Abderrahim brought us another router when I needed to work, which I think was actually the family's own one, so this was very kind - they go above and beyond You're not close to any shops at all, and when my husband tried to walk to the closest location for local shops (25 min walk), the locals were not friendly at all and he came back. We had a driver to take us everywhere but just be prepared that you can't walk anywhere. For us, it meant that we relaxed more and weren't "doing" all the time. The cost of a one way trip to the city , including airport is between 20 - 30 Euros. We paid more as we had a lot of trust with the driver. The pool is not heated. I'm sure if you're going anytime from April onwards that's ok as Morocco gets very hot, but we were there in February with great weather in the daytime (around 23 degrees) but it gets very cold at night and the pool was freezing and so my kids were a bit upset not to be able to be in it longer and play.
We've just returned from a fabulous stay here. Firstly, we want to say that Abderrahim was extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. As we didn't really understand the setup of the place before we booked, we thought we'd explain it a bit here so others can understand. It is a beautiful villa, set about 30 mins outside of the Marrakech Medina. The villa is enclosed inside gates, and within the compound the family who host the villa also have a small property. They keep to themselves and you have free reign of the compound. Through the garden is the beautiful orange and lemon orchard, where the goats and chickens are. We love nature so we were very happy to stay outside of the centre and experience this. My children found wild tortoises and played with the goats and went to collect eggs from the chickens. We picked oranges and lemons and fresh mint and played with the gorgeous cats. It really gave us the opportunity to have a mixture of nature, culture and relaxation for this trip. We were 6: my husband and I, my parents and our 9 and 6 year old and it was great for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and the property has everything you can need and, like I said, Abderrahim is there for anything you need, you just message him. Khadija, the mother, made us a traditional Moroccan breakfast all the days we wanted it which was lovely. expect additional meals to cost 50 euros plus 30 euros for groceries. If you're looking to stay outside of the city, have some beautiful nature to be immersed in and stay in a beautiful, authentic villa, this one is for you! Below I will put the things we didn't love, just to make you aware, but we would 100% return! Lastly, we had an amazing driver named Kamal who was recommended to us by friends before we came. He reserved the whole week for us and took us into the city and also other excursions further away.

The most amazing experience in this little paradise. We visited seven people with kids and grandparents. The hosts were Lovely, help du Il but also discrete. The house is tastefully decorated with antiques and the house is enourmous. Outside is a little forest of orange trees.

GermanyThe internet could have been better. It was possible to upload all homepages but barely possible to watch movies. Yet, so the host said, this is reflective of the internet quality in Marocco in general.
It was a most pleasant stay. The house is beautiful and very large. Our host made great breakfast, a new cake every morning. The dinners (paid extra) were also worth the money, local authentic tangine cuisine.

United KingdomWe have just returned from a recent holiday in marrakech and booked this amazing villa for our last few days and it was an absolutely fantastic end to our week away. Abderrahim organised everything for us including our transfer from the medina in marrakech to the property. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and were stunned by the beauty of the villa. It is a really big house with multiple communal areas. The whole house is so beautifully decorated, with very traditional touches but with a modern twist. We were treated to a fantastic meal on the first night made by khadija who went over and above at every meal we had. She cooked beautiful feasts for breakfast and dinner and also cooked a stunning fresh cake for us every day. There was so much effort put into the food, we felt absolutely spoilt. I cannot speak highly enough about Abderrahim and Khadija, such friendly and kind hosts. We would all definitely return to the property if we return to marrakech and would highly recommend to anyone travelling to book this property as part of your stay. It really is a beautiful oasis not far from the centre of marrakech at all. I guarantee it will exceed the expectations of anyone thinking of booking here. This is such a tranquil, beautiful property to relax at, you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here while visiting marrakech.

Very tasty home made breakfast with freshly baked bread and cake , freshly squized orange juice. We have ordered for dinner chicken tagine and couscous with meat the best we had in Marocco. Host Mother is the best cook we really enjoyed her cooking. From the pool tarrace early in the morning you can enjoy sunrise, Atlas mountains, and balloon flights counted 40 of them. Recommend to everyone we enjoyed our stay after travelling from Marrakech to Sahara exploring the country, it was very peaceful relaxing stay.

United KingdomHaving to go home.
Beautiful property. We only used two bedrooms but it would easily accommodate a much larger group. Decor was full of character and the garden and pool area relaxing. The family who look after you were super helpful and added to the experience. It is quite a way from Marrakesh but the quiet rural location is a welcome respite from the bustle of the city. Khadijas breakfast and dinner were very welcome.

BelgiumOur recent stay in Morocco was truly a gem of an experience, especially for our two families, each with two little children. From the outset, the house welcomed us with its cozy interiors and tasteful design, providing ample space for both families to relax and enjoy. One of the highlights of our stay was the enchanting garden, a haven of tranquility where the children could play freely amidst the beautiful greenery. It offered a peaceful retreat for the adults as well, where we could unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere. The hospitality we received was exceptional, with the hosts ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, adding a personal touch that made our stay truly special. Breakfast was a delightful affair, with a variety of delicious options to choose from, including a cake that was an instant hit with the children, and even my husband couldn't resist. It was the perfect start to our days, setting a positive tone for our adventures ahead. The two dinners we had at the house were equally memorable, with mouthwatering dishes that showcased the rich flavors of Moroccan cuisine. In summary, our stay in Morocco was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the comfortable accommodations and serene surroundings to the warm hospitality and delicious food, every aspect of our experience was top-notch. We would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a memorable getaway in Morocco.

Our stay was nothing less than amazing. From the moment we've set foot on Au porte de Marrakech, we felt enchanted by both the house and the people taking care of it. We can't recommend this enough. A big thanks for Khadija, Omar, their kids and Fatima. Quick tip: never go out for diner, it's never as good as what Khadija will prepare for you.

United KingdomArrival instructions could have been clearer and if you are self driving a meeting point with Fatima is essential to ensure you don’t get turned around by the rather detail less map. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
Everything, the house is sensational, the hosts lovely and the country magnificent. If driving to the location note that the map isn’t accurate and the hosts will come and meet you locally. A holiday that spanned waterfalls to deserts, camel rides to shivering in the high atlas - all with two 3 year olds ! We arranged dinner in the house multiple nights and the food was beautiful. Distance to Marrakesh was perfect, the animals in the grounds kept the kids entertained and the pool was chilly but refreshing

United KingdomEverything about this villa was amazing, the breakfast was exceptional, Khadija made us a delicious meal one night and the family were so accommodating and kind throughout. The pool is much bigger than it looks (a great size to even play some ball games and have a little swim). The decor of the home is beautiful - with elaborate carved doors and tiled bathrooms, there is plenty of space for people to get some time alone if needed, with two large seating rooms and two patios to quietly read or hang by the pool. We rented cars and driving around the area / into the centre was straight forward and an ideal location to explore mountains, desert and the city. The land is also beautiful, with pomegranate and grapefruit trees as well as lizards, frogs, chickens and sheep. Absolutely will be back! We had the most wonderful holiday, thank you.

I had a pleasant stay, and the hospitality was exceptional. Khadija has golden hands; she cooked for us on the first day and always had a smile on her face. Abderahim consistently checked in to see if everything was to our liking, and they were quick to address any concerns we had. The children thoroughly enjoyed the farm experience with the goats and chickens, and the villa was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. However, the villa is in need of some renovation. The decor is outdated, and many things are not in good condition. Although the pool was cleaned regularly with a net, it remained dirty, which was disappointing. For such a beautiful location, I believe they should invest in a proper pool cleaning device. This was a significant downside to our stay, and because of this, I would hesitate to return. Overall, while the hospitality and location were wonderful, improvements in maintenance and amenities are necessary for a more enjoyable experience.
