How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewRoom with balcony was nice however, bathroom is dated and water doesn’t drain after shower, bathroom stays wet for hours after shower.
Staff are not polite, booking.com says check in from 3pm but our room was not ready until past 4pm.

the staff were unhelpful. I had a problem with the cleanliness of the room, I called housekeeping numerous times, they said they were coming and they just didn’t come. After that, I asked for cups for tea and coffee. They told me they don’t give cups for this, yet they have a kettle in the room! I had my own milk coffee and tea bags and only wanted a cup so I could make a cup of tea after a long day with the kiddies. Also just to add, following multiple ignored phone calls to reception, I had to walk to reception for this request. Due to the uncleanliness of the room I was subjected to bites from bugs in the room! Everything I reported was just ignored and not cared about.

Not well organized in the restaurant. I had been asked to pay for water during dinner and even paid full board. I paid cash the first day of arrival and asked for payment receipt. The receptionist told me that I will get it after check-out but didn't give it to me.

Verified reviewHotel Argana is in a great location. Loads of local shops around if you need your essentials. Laundry ship near by and a money exchange shop. Both places few mins walking distance. Beach is about 5 mins walk. There is a corden section for hotel Argana where you can enjoy your beach day. (Look out for number 12) As for the Hotel, hotel its self was very good. Came here with family. Room was clean. No issues there. Staff members were polite and very helpful. Pool is a good size. Yes you do get your typical brits going to pool area around 6/7am to hog the best sun loungers etc etc… That will never change. There is a bar there if anyone is interested. Lounge area is very relaxing plus the lobby was just as great. There is a gym on the 4th floor but that coat 50drm extra per day I believe. Did not use Breakfast at the hotel is brilliant you can’t go wrong.
Lunch is hit and miss. Better off going out and grabbing food (takeaway etc)

Verified reviewDisappointed – Not as Described I was extremely disappointed with my booking The hotel was nothing like the photos shown online – it's misleading and feels like a scam. The room was not clean at all, and the staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. There was no AC, making the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent and honest stay.

Verified reviewThe hotel is situated just a short walk from the beach and other shops as well as a relaxing walking environment. It also has a beautiful outdoor pool and activities for all which get lively and fun. The shisha bar was also a bonus to enjoy at night. The good thing is the hotel includes the gym, spa/massage/hammam. The staff are friendly and helpful and able to answer any questions. House keeping was brilliant and even offered us cold drinks when they came to clean our room. Thank you!!
Our room 3145 was situated at the back and at night the music from the club was very loud and we found it difficult to get to sleep. I wished I was notified about this in advance so I could have chosen an alternative.

The only small thing we noticed was that the room and bathroom could have been a little more thorough with the floor cleaning, as a hairs were left behind. Other than that, everything was great.

Verified reviewThe location is good but it's over 10 minutes walk to the beach. The spa and the Hamam staff very welcoming and friendly. The coffee shop corner was very nice.
The front desk staff weren't very transparent or honest, they lack better customer service. The rooms weren't comfortable. The parking is beyond problematic. The tables and chairs around the pool is way too crowded.
